Unlike the weather in the US, the day was bright and warm; comforting to those marching today.
The streets were lined with Brits waving signs about and shouting for peace. Catelyn had been helping to run security detail, as the duchess would be marching to show her allegiance to those needing to be heard. “Blocks 2 and 3 look good... I’m still surprised they’re letting you march.” She spoke softly as the black car drove up to the beginning of the march.
Elsewhere, Oliver had just finished conferencing with Xavier, Brian and other leaders part of the mutant alliance “I think we’ve got a good set up, mates! Be safe!” He added before looking to Brian “That sound about right, boss?” He asked softly, slightly worried about his sister in the states. Brian brushes a hand through his thick blond hair nodded in response “Just ensure that we’ve got our walkies on and charger. I’m not so worried about London, but I am worried for your mates stateside...”
Tavish waited uncomfortably by Krys’ door as teachers walked by with their students. It wasn’t every day a tall, long haired tattooed man in their midsts. “Krys...helllooooooo....”

Serina, though she couldn't outright say she was a mutant herself just yet, was at the march with many other mutants and non-mutant supporters in front of the parliament where she worked. Not many there knew who she really was. Just a duchess who because she wasn't an actual member of the r could actually be political. After all she was part of the house of Lords, it was actually her job try and make positive changes in this world. She held Bran's hand in one hand and her speech in the other. She would address the world today...knowing this was on the news not just here in England but the rest of the world.
In truth she didn't like the pomp and circumstance of nobility, nor did she like being such a public figure and speak in front of people. Her inspiration came from, Bran, and the future she wanted for her little brother, her extended family in both Excalibur and X-men, and most of all for her Bran and the future family they would have together. It wasn't just about her. She knew this was the best way to try and make the world a better place to be for everyone she cared about.
She knew in her nervous silence her was telling Bran and those in attendance a lot more then if she was even speaking. She took a deep breath and listened to others who were speaking in coordination with the march on Washington and other places around the world, knowing that all too soon it would be her turn to speak. If any peaceful protest created change it would something like this.

Angie took in a deep breath as she waited on the sidelines. While she supported equal rights for all, there was going to be trouble. She knew that there would be injuries from fights which might break out or other various scenerios. She had a button with her support as well as on ear piece on for her team. Her job as a parametric came first today. She chatted with her crew as she waved as people passed by. She liked when things were this peaceful. A shiver ran down her back as a bad feeling came over her.
Krys smiled as she heard the familiar voice call out. She finished tying her hair up in a side braid as she gave it a quick jostle to give it a little more messy look. A light layer of make up matched the comfortable shoes, skinny jeans, and loose fitting neck line of her shirt. Normally, she wouldn't but too much effort into getting ready for the march. Tavish had come back for a short amount of time. She enjoyed their long conversation, she could feel herself crushing on him hard. Maybe this trip she would finally see if he felt the same. Or was it best to keep this like it is? Romantic relationships were never her thing to begin with.
She opened the door as her smile widen, spreading to her ears with a pause. He was the one bright spot in an otherwise dim setting. She wrapped her arms around him in a large hug. "Hi! Let's go before Lord Someone stops us and asks us to join them in their car. I'm not in the mood for 20 questions."

A very surprised Tavish wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug “Well, ey, there!” He chuckled before slowly letting her go. Gods, was she adorable with heir hair slightly messy. And those eyes, he just melted every time. “Aye, I don’t like 20 question either. Les go!” He grabbed her hand to rush out “Race ye? Ma Jeep is just outside!” He have a hearty laugh “And I’ve got all the supplies we may need. Snacks and water are in the back. Ye cover up any markings? Just in case we get takin’ in..”

Krys stepped back as she noticed the surprised look. It was nice her affection had been returned. She gripped his hand as she laughed, running along side of him. She winked at him as she felt her muscles tense. She grinned, "You are on. Last one to the jeep, pays for dinner."
She took off like a bullet as she dropped his hand. She would not give him an advantage. She barely noticed the looks shot her way. She jumped over the railing as she got to the end of the railing. She grunted slightly as she kept her eyes forward. it was one of the main reasons she did so well on the slopes. Her feet skit along the tile as she placed a hand out to guide her upright. She balanced on the balls of her feet. She pushed out the door as she paused. Her eyes scanned the cars until she saw his.
She took off as she got to the passenger door. Her breath came out heavy as she waited for him to unlock the car. It was fun to race through her new home. She could only guess what the others thought, not like she minded.

Viola had returned from deployment shortly before the peaceful march of all the people who were referred to as mutants. She understood the reasons behind it. She even supported it. She didn’t however have time to join in the march as she was only going to be able to visit home, go by London, and then back to Portsmouth yo receiving her training schedule and to start the process all over again. She didn’t regret her career choice and actually enjoyed it. She was currently in London gathering a few things from a storage facility she used to keep certain things private and away from her parents. It was mainly mementos from her basic training or deployments. This though was so she could dispose of some of her past. She had decided that the portion of her life she had spent with someone was now past and was bound for the rubbish bin. The nice thing would be if the traffic moved so she could actually get there on time. She sighed and gave the man the 30 quid the meter read and hopped out of the cab. She was only ten blocks away from the storage facility and she would walk it. She wanted this done and the crowds weren’t helping this at all. She started off at a brisk walk and after pushing through several crowds decided that cab would have been better. She didn’t mind the people she just didn’t have time for the distractions and discussions that being out in public would bring about as she moved toward the storage facility.
“No. You’re wrong and bigot. Please keep your opinion to yourself.”
She walked another block only to encounter another idiot with grandiose ideas about what they could do with the mutants and she frowned at the people and went to brush past them. The brave soul who reached out for her was going to regret it. She leveled him with a look that would have melted metal.
“You are going to make a mistake that will cost you a trip to the doctor. Please withdraw your hand.”
That was one of the many things she encountered in her walk to her storage facility. The last straw was when she came upon a group of morons hassling a young man who happened to have an extra set of arms. It gave her ideas of the uses of those arms and caused her smile a bit but that only seemed to attract the attention of those heckling him. It was enough for him to slip away and her fantasy of a cute guy with four arms was gone as well.
“You like what you see?”
She frowned causing her brow to furrow with the action.
“Yes and it’s terrible he left. Now if you will excuse I have to get inside here and hide all my illicit pictures of guys with six arms.”
That seemed to anger the ring leader and he reached for her, which was a mistake, and as his hand about made contact he found it twisted up and with a bit more pressure she broke his first three fingers.
“As I’ve said I have business inside and don’t me.”
This caused the other two with broke fingers to fan out to her left and right.
“Well this day just got more interesting.”

Tavish watched, startled as Krys leapt our into a race for the Jeep. With a laugh, he quickened his pace as he neared the entrance of the manor. He hated being in this place, so the faster out of here, the better!
Shoveling his hands into his baggy jean pockets, he sprung around the driver’s side, unlocking the vehicle for her “Yar in such a rush, I couldn’t be a gentleman, lass.” He smirked before leaping inside.
Inserting the key into the ignition, he revved up before cruising forward toward downtown. “Y’know, I’m surprised ya wanted to attend the march today. I’m glad! I guess Armstrong is fi in’ ya a break from all the trainin’, eh?” He grinned as he made a turn around the cobblestone road “I’ll stock ya up with pepper spray in case we get separated.” He winked, gently grasping her hand “Ive got ya covered...”

Krys winked as she shrugged her shoulders. "Well you suggested a race to a former downhill skier, what do you think was going to happen?"
She climbed in as her heart sank a little at the thought of her unable to ski competitively any more. It was her call as she figured her old friend would open his large mouth about her being a mutant and cheating. In reality, that was far from the truth as she won fair and square. She pushed those thoughts out of her mind.
Her lips produced a bit of a chuckle as he mentioned the break and her coming along. She felt that it was her place in the world to say something. "It's more about standing up for others or those that can't use their own voice. I don't want another scared teenage to hide because this new thing happened and can't tell anyone. I want mutants to be treated fairly." She glanced over to him. "I appreciate you wanting come and help me out of potential scrapes. I think we will be safe as long as we stick together. After all, I will just freeze them in place." ~*~*~
Angie stood as she watched the crowd pass by. It was getting thicker the longer they stayed. Her stomach fluttered as butterflies danced around. She glanced over her shoulder as she noticed that a group of people were having a heated discussion. She tapped the shoulder of her teammates. They radioed over to the police as they started to walk over. It was a situation that could go from bad to worse.
She picked up a first aid kit as she and her coworker approached. She was kept her steps light with a small smile on her face. Her knuckles were white as they stopped a couple of meters from the group.
"Everything all right over here?" She looked between Viola and the others.

Tavish nodded "Understood." He smiled, grabbed his seat in his car and ensuring that had all supplies needed. "All right, here we go..." he smirked as he turned up the tunes "What's the music ye like again? Tha' pop stuff, right?" He chuckled as he entered downtown London. His smile slowly turned into a frown, however, seeing protestors of all sides just engulf the streets. It began to remind him of Glasgow and it's sketchy parts.
Parking the car a few blocks out just to ensure a sense of safety. "What'cha think?" he askedas she turned the ignition off "I think a safe word should be used in case things get a bit nuts..."

Viola was set for a tussle. She was welcoming the tussle and it would be short and to the point. The other two would be a bit of an issue but she hoped seven digits would lick his wounds long enough for her to handle his entourage.
“We’re gonna have some real fun with you twat.”
Viola was about to level some serious shade when a voice behind them inquired if they were ok. She didn’t change her stance but did answer out of politeness and decorum.
“It will be once these gentlemen take their friend to receive medical attention. The alternative does not suit them.”
The appearance of a few more people seemed to take the wind out of their sails extremely quickly and they collected their friend and left. She waited until they were about 10 meters away and turned to the woman.
“Thank you. I was worried I was going to get a little bloodied there but you are my hero. I owe you at least the common courtesy of a cup of a pint or at least a cup of hot beverage you desire.”
She smiled.

Daphne had been kicking herself since the night Oliver had rebuffed her. She was staying at HellFire and caring for cats. She was sad and had been tending her plants in her room at the club and her apartment. She had sat down with Leslie, who it turned out was a really quick study with sign language. She was pleased that he didn’t treat her like the others. They looked at her like she was a freak who just did Emma’s bidding at her whim. She was tired and at least this was the weekend Leslie came and he was nice to her. It wasn’t out of fear either. He was a genuinely nice guy. It was terrible what was going on behind his back. She wanted to tell him but she wasn’t sure if he would believe her. She needed to tell someone who would believe her.
One of her cats meowed at her and she grabbed the bag of treats and shook them. That was all it took to bring the others around. She smiled and started tossing the treats out there and they were scrambling to get them. She feed her cats and left.
She had came to the march with express intent of giving Cate the thumb drive with time stamps of the infidelity of both Tiffany and Sean’s. They seemed very content to get on with it while the one person she respected and the other person who hated her were being done that way. She didn’t care about Cate’s feelings in the least but she wouldn’t let that be done to someone by the person they trusted and were going to marry. She may have been Emma Frost’s right hand woman but she didn’t hold her views of relationships and how you handled men. She was also doing it to get close to Oliver as well. It fulfilled two of of her needs and then she would leave them be.

Krys laughed as she rolled down the window. She let her hand flow along with the wind. It was nice as it was a comforting feeling for her. She closed her eyes for a moment as she let the radio fill some of the silence. The race had put her in a funny mood for the moment. The noise from the march caused her to open her eyes. She looked around as it was crowded.
She turned toward him with a nod. "I think we march, at least for awhile. Let me know when you get tired." She winked at him, "We can do a safe word. I am thinking snow angle? You might have a better one." ~*~*~
Angie watched at the group left rather quickly. Relief swept through her as she smiled at the woman. Her partner radioed that all was well. He gave a description of the other group in case they were going to cause trouble elsewhere. She smiled to the woman.
"It was not a problem. We were close by so we are able to help out. As I'm on duty a hot tea will be nice."

“Snow Angel seems a bit...gentle.” He snickered “but I like it! Let’s go with it.” He cackled with a grin. Looking forward and seeing the protest, he breathed in deeply, it was now or never.
Above there were balloons mimicking the President which made him laugh. While it was a waste of money, the statement was well made. He was glad he didn’t live in the US; however, their prime minister wasn’t the greatest either. Boris had a hand in seedy shit as messy as the rat on his head. With a simple shrug, he held up his sign and looked to Kris “Whatcha think, lass? Made maself!” He grinee, knowing his magic marker abilities were comparable to a toddler.

Krys rolled her eyes at his comment about the safe word being gentle. She mainly chose it because it would distinguishable from the other sounds at the rally. She could not help but grin back at him. "Well, I didn't hear a brilliant idea from you."
She closed the gap between them as she stood next to him. She looked over the sign with a nod of approval. She was impressed with the effort he put into it. "I'm proud of you, Tav. Ya make me feel like such a slacker. Shall we go shout until we loose our voices?"
She stepped away from the Jeep as butterflies filled her stomach. She looked over at Tav, almost taking his hand. She shook her head as she thought better of it. It was neither the time or the place. Plus they were just friends, right? Not that she would mind if they took it to the next level.
She walked through streets as she joined in the shouting. Her eyes were constantly glancing over to him. It was crowded and she didn't want to loose sight of him. She knew they had a better chance of success together for if things went south.

Tavish couldn't get near the speech by the Duchess, but it was no matter. They weren't here to listen to horseshit politics. The only path he followed was his own. After the government fucked up his family, he no longer cared. Looking behind, he smiled and offered his hand "Don' wanna lose ya. Not in this crowd..." He gritted his teeth with unease. He all sides of this fight right here int he center of London. Those opposed to mutants and those with them. Something felt off and it wasn't just his nerves. "Stay close, lass." he sternly requested as they neared the fences.
Grabbing his sign, he forced a smile and held it up. "Alright, Krys!" he chuckled "Make yer mark!" Looking up and careful to hit anyone with his sign, the man noticed a freeflowing object in the air. It was entering their space and becoming bigger as it fell. Black...no, blue? Purple? People began to scatter as it neared the crowd. Shrieks rang through the air, making Tav's ears vibrate in pain. Closing his eyes, he focused on his abilities, trying to calm himself. Quickly finding his center, the man looked to Krys "GET DOWN!" He yelled, forcing her to the ground as he gently fell onto her.
