Wanda slowly made her way down to the Baker apartment. She shivered as this place gave her the creeps. She had gotten the address from Andrew. She wanted to surprise Aaron with an invitation. She psyched herself up for this trip. there was something that was not sitting right with her patron, Philip Walker. She could only hope that the answer was yes.
She took in a deep breath as she had gotten to know Aaron more over the past few weeks. It had been surprising when he offered a ride from work. It was funny as the first time she started to defend herself from a group which surrounded her. She was shocked as he fought off three or four thugs with breaking a sweat. Unbeknown to her, Larissa had given Aaron the push to help the woman out. It did not take much as he was a good guy who came from a rough family.
The ride to the mansion had been barely tolerable until it happened at least two or three times a week. At a first, the conversations were forced. NoW, it seemed more natural to be around him. Some urging from her followers had her end up at his doorstep. She thought they were all a little crazy as Aaron probably only saw her as that goth chick with a huge chip on her shoulder.
Larissa slammed down her hand of cards with a huge smile on her face. They had just begun their weekly game of poker. They wold often bet in clothes though tonight it was car keys, maybe cloths later on. She had her little spies follow a certain someone and it seemed like her match making was playing off. It also helped that she followed the blog as well. She loved Aaron however it was nothing serious. He was a good second and a great friend. They would kill each other if it was anything more.
“I believe my straight wins. Now fork up the Mazda. Unless, I take your shirt so that way your guest has some eye candy. I’m very tempted just to read her reaction. You know I think she really likes you. Pay up so you can answer the door.”
On cue, there was a light knock on the door.

Aaron hasn’t really thought much of things as they transpired over the past few weeks. He had been busy and helping Wanda had been a joy. She was more than she met most people see her for and while he was still on the fence about going to the BoM house and becoming one of them full time he wouldn’t ever stop helping Wanda. He found her company at first to be well just the presence of someone who didn’t like anyone. The conversation was forced and not at all what he had expected during the ride. When it repeated itself with a frequency she seemed to open up and talk more about things she found interesting which in turn caused him to share his thoughts and interests. He wasn’t known for being verbose but he could hold a conversation if he needed to hold one and with her it didn’t feel forced. The incident with the asshats who were attacking her had been a good time and one he didn’t really mind. Wanda in a nutshell was a intriguing, intelligent, and someone he considered a friend he would drop everything to help out.
He looked at Larissa’s cards and shook his head. She must have been cheating because that was her second winning hand but he didn’t care about that as they usually played before drinking and other activities. When she requested the Mazda he laughed.
“Oh so you can wreck it? You suck at driving. You’ve crashed other cars I’ve boosted for you that were more expensive. So you can not have the RX7.”
He tossed his shirt at her hitting her in the face with it laughing again. When she mentioned his door he looked at her as the shirt fell into her lap. People didn’t come here unless it was that old guy who had them do odd jobs for him. He paid well and Larissa seemed to tolerate him.
“Is it that old guy again? You know the one that pays us to dig up info and not cause our specific brand of trouble? Wanda wouldn’t come here. Only we come here because well even other gangs don’t want to come here.”
He rose and jingled the car keys at Larissa and went to the door. After five locks he pulled the door opened and was about to have a witty word for the guy but stopped.
“Wanda?!?”

Larissa laughed as he jibbed back at her. "Yes and I paid for all those repairs so you could sell them. Just means I need to find a better teacher so I can drive those lovely little machines."
She tossed his shirt to a near by chair. She gave a toothy grin as Aaron opened the door. She was pleased that the little witch came here all on her own. The first car ride was her small push. They had done the rest. She had been interested in who and what Wanda was. She had a respect for the girl as she didn't play off her father's name to get what she wanted.
Wanda felt her cheeks get warm as soon as the door opened. A half naked Aaron was not the first sight she thought she would see. She momentarily forgot what she had come here for. Her throat cleared as her mind jump started again. She held out a fist full of tickets.
"Um...Hi. Sorry for the surprise. I was able to get hound your brother for the address. Is this a bad time? I can come back and ask my question later."
She mentally kicked herself as this was not how she played this in her mind. She felt silly as she heard a snicker from inside the apartment. She took in a deep breath, "It sounds like you have company. I'll go, sorry to just drop by." She turned on her heel as her tensed a little.

Aaron quickly overcame his surprise and with a split second look at Larissa with narrowed eyes he turned back to Wanda. He placed a hand on her shoulder and stopped her from leaving in embarrassment.
“No, it’s not a bad time. Larissa just doesn’t have any manners. Please come in and make yourself comfortable. I’ll make some tea. Larissa will behave herself.”
He turned her around and escorted her in. Once in the living room, which made the building’s exterior look even dingier, he motioned to the couch.
“Larissa, you want a beer?”
They had been playing games. They usually started with monopoly, moved to chess, them trivial pursuit, and then good old fashioned poker. They had started with poker. It was time for trivial pursuit or monopoly. They sounds of dishes could be heard, followed by water running then the quick soft whoosh of a burner igniting. After that Aaron returned with three beers. He gave Larisss her’s and offered one to Wanda.
“New game Larissa, trivial pursuit or monopoly. We can even play the Star Trek or Star Wars edition.”

The hand on her shoulder caused Wanda to look back as her steps stopped. Her stomach dropped a little as he wheeled her into the apartment. Her eyes darted around as she noticed the girl from the other night. She guessed that Larissa was mocking her with the attempt to ask the question.
Larissa stuck her tongue out as she winked at Wanda. She thought it was very bold of the girl to ask the man on a date of sorts. She was just excited that she got to see this all happen. "I almost always behave, babe. We both know that. A beer is just what the doctor ordered. Am I right, little witch?"
Wanda gave a quick nod of her head as she took a corner of the couch. She placed the tickets into her bag next to her tablet. She stared at the ground as her confidence shriveled into a husk. It was probably a good thing, it was not like Aaron would want to come to an art gallery party.
She looked up as she shrugged, "Sure." She was usually didn't drink too much other than coffee most of the time. She felt strange and awkward being here.
Larissa took the opportunity to chat with Wanda. She did state that she would behave, just didn't promise not to play 20 questions. She almost felt sorry for the other girl, not enough not to continue with her plan. Thoughts floated into her mind as a smile crossed her face.
"Relax, Wanda, I don't bite that hard. I'm more of a spanker for those who are naughty." She say the girl look up and shutter a little. The dishes would allow a little time. "After all, you will get a chance to ask him on the date. You like each other so he will say yes. It is a ballsy move that will pay off. I will tag along as well. I like making new....friends."
"How the... You are one of us as well. Funny that this is the first I am hearing of it. Just don't steal, after all, some of us are trying to make a living." Her tone was sharp though it was true. She didn't want to loose her patron even though he had started to give her the creeps. For her, this was the first big break. She wanted to be well known, maybe famous.
"Not to worry, I won't embarrass you too much. There is plenty you don't know about me." She winked as ignored the tone. She smiled as she took the beer. She took a large swig. "Let's do Star Trek pursuit and finish with Monopoly as it's easy. I won't cheat too much."
Wanda took the beer as her attention turned back to Aaron, "Thanks." There was something about Larissa that off set her. She had been invited in so she would stay. She knew a couple of things about both of those shows, at least to make small conversation.

Larissa knee Aaron would have strangled her or worse for subjecting Wanda to such questioning, which was good he wasn’t on the room when she did it. He returned passing out drinks and noted that Larissa seemed to be behaved for the most part and Wanda hadn’t even thrown her out a window. That was a good start but Larissa tended to dip into people’s heads when she wanted and with him he didn’t care to much because he knew what her mental touch felt like and found it comforting at times. They had worked out a great systems when liberating items of worth and he liked it enough to not actively block her.
“I trust Larissa was behaved while I retrieved drinks? You can tell me if she wasn’t and well I’ll ensure she gets to sleep on the rickety death trap of a fire escape.”
He laughed because that fire escape was very structurally sound even though the building looked like it had survived being bombed and looted.
“What brings you to this part of town? I mean even cops don’t come here unless they have to.”
He was pulling out the trivial pursuit board while he asked her and set it up. He then pulled out a bracelet and offered it to Larissa.
“I want this to be a fair game. It’s not like we’re cheating another gang at cards.”
The bracelet was actually something naturally made that seemed to interrupt Larissa ability. He set up the board and put three tokens out, one for each of them.

Wanda took a sip of the amber liquid. She coughed a little as she let it go down her throat. She hoped it was a taste which she would get used to soon enough. She looked over to Larissa who had a look on her face. She honestly didn't care too much about what would happen later.
"A few teasing remarks and some questions. I will let you be the judge of where she sleeps." A frown filled her face as she started to feel a little foolish. She should have guessed that those two had or were sleeping together. It made her feel a little crushed. "No reason that I am here. I guess it is in the rougher part of town. Keeps you from getting caught with the side business."
Larissa rolled her eyes at those two. She grabbed the bracelet from Aaron. "You take all the fun out of this. And since someone is being chicken shit, Wanda wants to ask you on a date. Will you get all dressed up for the fancy party? Save her from some creep?"
Wanda's jaw dropped to the floor as her hands started to glow. She was going to throw this woman out the window. Larissa stood up as she chuckled, "Please little witch, it won't make him say yes. And plus we have not had sex in quite some time."
It was the last straw for Wanda. She lifted Larissa up as she suddenly found herself in darkness. Her eyes grew wide as she stood up. She took a step forward as her foot bumped into the table. She turned around, uncertain of where she was in the unfamiliar room. Her energy crackled yet did not help matters. She hated feeling so helpless.
