Player: Justyce
Name: Daphne Arabeth Donnelly
Nicknames: D or DD
Title: White Rook
Group, if any: Hellfire Club
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Skills:
Skilled Acrobat – Daphne is a skilled acrobat this stemming from her growing up in the circus and helping during their parades to garner customers to attend the circus. She can tumble, execute flips, and other acrobatic moves that are used to entertain or confuse others. She does use this during combat but it is more to land blows, which can either, cripple, maim, or break bones.
Blade Expert – Daphne has learned to use various blades in the short time she has been on her own. She has quite a collection and has studied anatomy books for the best place to put the blades. She is quite good with a sword as well.
Hand to Hand – Daphne has developed her hand to hand skills during the two years before being recruited into the Hellfire Club by Emma frost. She has seen various films and was instructed by several of the circus members in fighting techniques and has since honed and combined it with her acrobatics to make her a dangerous foe. She uses her parasol in this as well.
Mutations/Powers:
Preternatural Agility - Daphne can move from one motion to the next effortlessly, effectively dodge attacks, execute backflips, sprint, and numerous other gymnastic, athletic and martial implements with little effort. Her agility is superior to what can be naturally accomplished. This takes a toll on a body all the swift motion and dodging but her regeneration keeps her joints from feeling inflamed the onset of early arthritis.
Enhanced Regeneration - Daphne only survived the fire because of her regeneration. It is not on par with Logan's but it takes a close second with it allowing her lungs to repair themselves from the fire, heal her skin back to the flawlessness that it has always had and within several hours restore her severed leg. It does have its bonuses other than being able to heal her. It gives her disease immunity to common diseases such as flu, cold, measles, chicken pox, etc. Man made diseases like Anthrax flu and such get her sick but won't necessarily kill her. Just make her miserable.
Undiscovered Abilities:
Weakness:
Pyrophobia - Daphne has a paralyzing fear of fire. It stems from the fact that her home was burnt to the ground and she saw everyone she loved killed or was lost in the fire. The mere presence of fire, a lighter withstanding, does cause her to become uncomfortable, a campfire begins it, but larger amounts of fire cause her to freeze and not be able to take action. She is so afraid of large amounts of fire that she can’t even flee.
Unrelenting Bloodlust – Daphne has an overdeveloped lust for blood and it manifests itself in the strangest ways. She has been known to kill supposed teammates without some sort of leash placed upon her. Emma’s presence is sometimes all the leash needed but her telepathic abilities provide that leash at times.
Sociopath – Daphne is a killer. It is a compulsion for her. Her killing is almost instinctual and mostly perpetrated against non-mutants because that is her main target. Emma has not reined her in because she can be controlled just the way Emma likes to control people and that doesn’t bother Daphne at all.
Parasol – Her parasol is a way to get her complete and undivided attention but not in a good way. If you try to take it or touch it you will find out why she is so murderous. It’s not recommended to touch it; even Emma doesn’t touch the parasol.
Residence: Hellfire Club Building, Lower Levels that have been converted into her rooms for her, her cats, and the multitude of blades she keeps. London, England
Appearance: Daphne looks very interesting when you first see her. Her hair is brown on the left side, pink with two white streaks on the pink side, right side. Her hair falls to belt. She also suffers from hetrochromia where one of her eyes is a completely different color and that would be brown left eye and pink right eye, the exception being when she is extremely angry or in the throes of bloodlust then they are both white. These differences are linked to her mutation. She wears a white jacket with pink interior, brown corset under her jacket which is curved in the middle and bottom to expose her hips, brown pants, black gloves, and black and white boots with very high heels which increases her height from 5’ 1” to 5’ 6”. Daphne does also wear a multitude of necklaces around her neck and they hand haphazardly.
Personality: Daphne is a quiet individual who doesn’t talk at all. She is considered mute but you can measure her intentions by the way she looks at you or acts around you. Her body language can portray how she feels. Daphne’s eyes tell the truth about what her intentions are toward you. She is broken and the way she eyes people tells the story of how she is going to treat you. Hope it is a good light or you might find the side of her you don’t like, which can be your death or an invitation to her inner sanctum.
Her life before the Hellfire Club was one of entertainment and fun. She was an acrobat in the circus her parents worked for. She was a happy child and grew into a happy teen. She was talkative, always smiling, and most of all living life to its fullest. She is no longer that person but perhaps it is buried deep in her.
Relationships/Friends: If she had them they are all dead.

History (Birthplace, Family, etc):
Daphne is a murderous woman from humble beginnings. It would strike you as odd that a woman born into the life of a circus performer could perform such atrocious acts upon humans.
Daphne was born to William and Melissa Donnelly. They were acrobats in the touring circus that made its way around the world during the height of their popularity. They had performed all across Europe, Asia, and eventually the Americas. They were extremely skilled and they had no other cares in the world.
That was until Melissa gave William the good news about him being father. There were plenty of children around the circus as the next generation they were the family that Daphne was born into and the one she would watch die.
Daphne’s life was a good one, she was being slowly trained to become an acrobat as her parents and she was getting quite good at it. She would walk in the circus parades and tumble when she was three and as she grew she would showcase her talents with flips, cartwheels and then eventually her trademark parasol. She would wow the crowds with how she could keep the parasol on her shoulder and execute some of the acrobatic maneuvers and keep it firmly on her shoulder. Her parents had trained her well.
The life she lived she had so many uncles and aunts that it was the largest family ever. She learned to kiss boys, flirt, and even had her first love in the circus with the strongman’s son.
Her life was good and she loved the travel. They went to England to perform for the winter and that is when her mutation first manifested as well on the boat ride. She was with the trapeze artist's daughter they were checking the animals and one of the wagons slid toward them and she ran her clear while the empty wagon slammed against the wall.
Everyone was relieved both the young women were alive. Her parents though knew from that day forward that Daphne was different but in the circus differences were the norm.
The question that Daphne asked herself was what was wrong with her. William and Melissa knew but didn’t want to alarm their daughter. She was gifted and they had heard of a school in America where gifted kids like her could get help with their abilities and how to control. After that Daphne was speeding around getting things done. Her acrobatics were improved just what she needed was to learn to control it because she was over doing flips and tumbles.
They wanted to get her help but they were in England and didn’t move on until months later so they did what they could for her. Her performance helped during their parades because she could perform amazing acts to awe the crowds.
It worked out great and drummed up great business for the circus and she wowed people. The trouble didn’t start until after their third stop and that is when they started to get the hate mail and threats. The circus blew it off and didn’t worry about it until they were at a show in Wales. It was after they had concluded for the night it happened. They were attacked by an armed mob of superstitious people. They started with the ringmaster demanding the fast girl so they could rid the world of her kind. She refused and they assaulted her leaving her dead. They then went through the camp and started to burn and kill everyone due to their fear of the unknown.
William and Melissa heard the beginnings of the commotion and started to help the others at the circus gather the children and get them to safety. Daphne was spotted as she was helping some of the smaller children get away and the mob converged on her and she was cornered in the wagon yard where they set fires. Daphne tried to hide but the fire spread. She managed to get all but one of the children out of there but that one was quickly overcome by the fire and as the one of the wagons collapsed on her and pinned her. She was trapped and finally she passed out.
The next morning she woke up in the ashes of the wreckage of the burned wagon. She found that she was still clutching the burned and dead child and that was the beginning of her break. When she crawled out of the ashes the entire place had been burned to the ground, everyone was killed, and that nothing was alive, not even the animals. She had after all the horrors of the dead and wreckage, finally broke. She wasn’t even sure she felt anything anymore but the one thing she did remember was the face of the one man she saw set the fire.
He wasn’t hard to find and he tried to stab her but having so many uncles, aunts, and cousins from living in the environment she lived in she had learned to fight and she was overly fast. She took his blade and felt a small thrill run through her at the sight of fear on his face. She quickly questioned him and every time he refused she stabbed him. When he finally gave her all she wanted she plunged the knife into his throat.
As she found them all and killed them in what she thought was revenge it left her empty and she started to wander. They were all humans and they had killed all those people for because one of them was different from them. She had learned to embrace those differences in the circus. The only thing she found that wasn’t destroyed was the parasol she used as an acrobat. They had destroyed her home, humans had done this, and she would make them pay.
She wandered listlessly during all this thinking and trying to process the events that had taken place. She didn’t really see the passage of time and when someone would approach her and if they were nice she would ignore them and let them go, if they tried to harm her she wouldn’t have mercy on them leaving only a body ripped limb from limb.
It wasn’t until someone attacked her with a nice blade that she grew to like the feeling of a piece of serrated steel in her hand. She took the blade from them and used it on like she was carving up a turkey or ham. She left them bleeding and left with herself covered in blood.
During her wanderings she tried to commit suicide but failed because she woke up alive she started to figure it out. She tried stepping in front of a truck to see if it would kill her and it didn’t, as it ran her over and she only healed from it in time. She was stuck in England with no means and only a blade she had obtained from someone who had tried to take advantage of her.
She roamed for quite some time, stealing, or selling herself for money, but always finding those who tried to take advantage and her leaving a body. She even took part in some underground fighting that is when a woman noticed her. The woman approached her and made her an offer. She didn’t know the woman could read her mind because she hadn’t spoken out loud in over a year while she roamed. The woman smiled and gave her an address to come to and Daphne appeared a few days later.
The woman had recruited her for what she was, a sociopathic killer, that was a mutant as well. She arrived at the home, rather an estate and was greeted by house staff. She was taken inside in the things she was wearing, which were to say they were shabby. Emma came forward and smiled at the young woman. The staff tried to talk to her but Emma stopped them. She explained that only she would talk to her when she needed to but get her to rooms, a bath, and some proper clothing.
The house staff took her to rooms and after she was bathed she was given access to a wardrobe and she picked out the outfit she wears now. Emma had plans for her and she was used and Daphne liked the uses that allowed her to hurt, maim, and kill as much as she desired.
If Emma needed something taken care of or a certain group leaned on she sent Daphne. She only did this when she couldn’t negotiate for she sent Daphne. The London Underworld began to dread confrontations with Emma Frost, she would send Daphne with a printed message detailing her offer and if they refused Daphne made them regret it. It was done in such a way that nothing linked back to Emma Frost or the Hellfire Club.
Daphne has more than settled into her role at the Hellfire Club and she is one hard to miss because of how short she is, that is her biggest asset, it causes people to underestimate her and then they no longer can talk about it at all.
