Relationships/Friends: Aaron Barker and her Onyx Night Stalkers
History (Birthplace, Family, etc):
Larissa was born to a nice family with two parents and two siblings. She was in the middle with an older sister and much younger brother by 8 years. She and her sister were fairly close while growing up. It was when they entered into grade school, Larissa would have the same teachers as her sister. She would often be compared to the different accomplishments of her sister. It wore on her as she felt that she would never amount to anything other than living in the shadow of her sister.
Her brother was born when she turned eight. At first, she seemed okay with it, viewing it as a way to bring some of the lost attention back on her. Her goal was to be the best big sister ever. She gave him almost everything he wanted until her sister budded in. She resented her sister as she had been helping him since he was born. It seemed as if her sister wanted to take all the glory for herself. She tried to reason, even getting her parents involved to try to have her sister see things through her eyes. Her parents did feel as if anything was work as her sister seemed to ignore her.
At her wits end, Larissa felt as if her family would not notice if she was missing. They spend a lot of time with their heads up their asses, according to her. She packed a bag full of her clothes and a few trinkets and toys. She took cash and two credit cards from her parents. She left in the dead of night, not caring the heartache it would bring to her family.
She wondered around the city as she really did not have a plan after leaving home. She had a feeling that they would not even notice she had left. She highly doubted that they would come to look for her. Honestly, deep down inside, she wanted them to find her and take her home again even though it would never really happen.
Life became more difficult for her in the days and weeks that followed. Larissa felt that she was in over her head. The cards she had stolen had started to be declined by places. She figured it was her parents way of punishing her, hoping that she would tuck tail and run home. It only made her what to succede even more. She used her cash sparingly as she turned to less savory means of making money. She had her pride as she didn’t want to beg for money like some of the other children or stick her hand into stranger’s pockets.
One night, she noticed a young man break into a building with nothing but a tiny set of tools. She watched him carefully from the shadows. She noticed that he slipped in and out with no one being the wiser. She started to follow him to see if she could pick up whatever he was doing. The idea of slipping her hand into a stranger’s pocket unnerved her.
After a few days, she had lost the man she was tailing when she followed him into an alleyway. She swore slightly as she wanted to see watch the hand movements one more time before venturing out on her own. He grabbed her by the wrist as he pulled her to his chest. He told he that he knew who she worked for and that she would know the price of spying. Larissa tried to reason with the man however he would have none of it. He dragged her behind a dumpster leaving a mental scar that would take years to heal.
As the man had his way, he found that he was pulled into a nightmare of Larissa’s imagination as he passed out mid act. He suddenly woke up, completely confused, swearing that if she ever came around again, he would finish what he started. He told her to let Lady Griffin know what will happen to the next one who comes around.
She was left shaken as she had no idea what just happened. She stayed in the alleyway for quite some time, just feeling numb. She had no idea who this person he referred to and why she would be part of their crew. She curled up, for the first time, wanting to go home to forget this ever happened. She might be overlooked though it was better than what just happened. A young male's voice pulled her out of the spiralling thoughts. She stood up, backing away from the figure approaching her. He talked about how the asshat always seemed to target young people. He said that she had skills of following others plus if she was already being accused of one of the flock than it made sense to join up with Lady Griffin.
She followed the young boy to where the base was. She was blown away by how many people her age where in here. She followed the boy as she was introduced to Lady Griffin. She was a little surprised by the following events. She was initiated into the group as her encounter was a right of passage. In the days and weeks that followed, she learned quickly that the group was like a well oiled machine as she found her place. She learned how to pick locks as well as gather information. She rose through the ranks, soon she was second hand to Lady Griffin.
It was during this time that her mutant powers manifested into a bit more maturity. Lady Griffin discovered her unique abilities. Larissa would often find herself following the lady around. She would help sniff out any traitors or punish those who displeased her with nightmares. Larissa felt used however any time she brought her feelings, it was brushed aside as all in her head. One evening when Lady Griffin had given her a rare evening off, she was going to practice on her guitar, a talent she found from another member, she found out that her deepest fears confirmed. Lady Griffin had used her with plans on turning her over to the authorities as she felt that Larissa was trying to overthrow her.
Larissa was furious at this. She packed her things up as others followed her. Most felt as if this gang had grown too large. It was a good mix of humans and mutants. They found a new home as Larissa led this gang with fairiness. She found that she enjoyed as her followers became known as Oynx Night Stalkers. This made her smile as she felt that she finally found her family.
On a nightly exertion, she meet the Barker brothers. They were up stealing a few cars. She found it rather interesting as they charmed the man while stealing what he owned. After they concluded their business, she approached them. She fought Andrew off as she knew what he wanted from her. She asked if they cared to train some of her people with their skills or at least take a look at what was offered. Andrew dragged his brother along. Andrew was not sure how much help he would be however would try. Aaron seemed indifferent either way. She promised that none of this would interfere with anything else as it would be on their time. She took a liking to Aaron, offering him a place with in her family after a month or so as he proved to be rather valuable. Andrew was welcomed to join, just not apart of her inner circle.
