Daphne hadn’t enjoy being kidnapped or carved up but she was released prior to any other harm coming to her. She had learned that she would be more in guard in the future. She had not expected that and after that the move to new accommodations within London proper also upset her. She had to move all her cats and decided that they would live at her flat now. Yes it was a two bedroom and she had to take the time to set up the second room for them but it was worth it for her babies. She had settled them in and ran the errands that Emma required and returned home. She spent the next few weeks trying to figure out what she had to do with a larger staff who could cater to Emma’s every need and that left her more time to be at home. She went to the gym and did her shopping. She cooked and well actually found being home with her cats a nice change from her normal grind. She found the change of pace and scenery nice.
As the time passed she had composed a text to Oliver. She had not sent as she was unsure of it. She did want to spend time with Oliver but the fact they were opposites seemed to hold her back. She hadn’t ever thought about the fact that she was a violent and horrible person because she was lashing out at a world that had taken everything from her. It wasn’t until Emma Frost that she was focused and used to advance Emma’s agenda for the Hellfire Club. She enjoyed the work for the first few years as it allowed her to hurt people who opposed Emma and most of them were humans. It didn’t bother her one bit. She started to chafe when they were kidnapping mutants and Selene was opposing Emma. She kept herself out of the power struggle as it was not within her duties unless it was a direct threat to Emma.
That was why she had been at home with her cats. She had brought them all home with her and was now cooking and ensuring they were fed. She was making a tator-tot casserole. She liked simple foods and this always made her happy. She finally made a decision and sent the text to Oliver inviting him over to visit.
