The cool night air flooded all around Nate as he stood near the entrance to the club. He discovered that he did not mind living in the big city. It was a nice change from the isolation that he grew up in. He leaned against the wall as he kept his eyes peeled. He kept a look out for the other members of the club. He had the skills to do so. It was rare that anything ever snuck up on him.
He heard a soft hoot coming from a near by tree. He smiled as his long time friend was near by. He brushed the hair out of his eyes as he walked under the tree. He glanced up as he watched the door from across the street. "See anything special?"
Bethal gave a soft hoot in reply. He chuckled as he heard the answer. The members of the club accepted him as he was. He liked the fact that he was made the doorman of the night. His body had taken on many traits of the creatures in which his powers mimicked.
His thoughts turned to his parents. He wondered if he should contact them, to tell them that he was safe and explain what happened. He shook his head. That would be a mistake. He felt it was better if they thought he was dead. They would label him a freak of nature anyways and cast him out. Besides he sorta had a new family off of his own.

Well family might be a little strong. People who accepted him and taught him how to handle his powers. It sounded much better when it was put like that. He would not consider himself close to any of them. He respected what the club was doing. Most of the details he did not know as he was only a pawn. It was fine by him. He did not know much about chess though the pawn suited him as he was a scout and a guard. He would carry out what his orders where to the best of his ability.
Amelia stepped out of her makeshift office, her boot stepping into the carpeted floor. Turning around, her long black leather trench coat twirled around her slim figure. Running her hand through her raven locks of tousled hair, her hazel eyes glimmered in the lowlights of the hallway. Breathing in, she locked the door and looked forward with a smirk. “Always chasing what you cannot have... When will you learn?” She asked softly with her light Italian accent.
She could smell his blood from where she stood. Hell, she could smell his blood from inside her office. Damn that human...

Nate gave a small sigh as he watched as members arrived without saying a word to him. He shrugged as he did a lap around the building before heading inside for a quick drink. He was feeling the unusual need for company other than his feathered friends. He sent a quick message to his dear feathered friend. He would know the instance someone was coming who was not suppose to be. He was allowed small breaks such as this. It was a liberty allowed with his connection with owls. Hell if he wanted, he could spend most nights inside. He found that he enjoyed the fresh air.
He heard someone coming out of an office which was hardly out of place. He heard the lock of the door with the Italian accent. It was hard to mistake Amelia for anyone else. He swallowed hard as he stopped in his tracks. She was always stunning, also one of the few who were up all night like him.
He scratched the back head as he chuckled. "Wait what? I didn't think I had been chasing after anyone. Watcha up to this evening, Ms. Amelia?"

She laughed inwardly before shaking her head “Well, you know enough, Nate.” She smiled as she walked over to him “I’m heading to the bar for a much needed drink, and then out for the night. It’s almost dinner time.” She winked mischievously.
The man intrigued her. She was curious about him ever since she had set foot at Hellfire...
She finally left the states after Michael never came back. It had been year of no communication no return calls, nothing. He was alive, and she knew it based off the chaos he had caused away from the Brotherhood. He had broken her heart. She didn’t dare tell her Coven either; they would just track him down and kill him. No...her place was here.
After she received an invitation from the Black Queen, she obliged. She had money, power and influence. She was the heir to her Coven.
She also supplied weapons. Weapons to her Coven that contained silver bullets. The next time she saw a damned werewolf, she’d load them up with the substance.
Shaking off her thoughts, she smiled sweetly to Nate, her fingers brushing some hair from his face “You?”

ate cleared his throat as she answered him. It was true that he had learned about social cues as he had been around more than just the fleeting groups of school kids. It was not much for a social life for a growing child. He had made some pals who came around a little more often. Well that ended badly....
He stopped himself there as her smile caught his attention. There was no need to go down a dark path right now. He was well aware how close she was. Alarm bells should be going off as he knew what she was. She should be a myth yet here she was. It made him wonder what other mythical creatures were out there.
He cleared his throat as she brushed part of his messy hair from his face. The movement caught him by surprise as one of his hands took life of its own as it rested on her lower back.
"You know a drink sounds good. You know I was headed that way myself. Care for some company? It's been quiet lately and good ole Bethal and crew will keep unwanted out. Who would want to deal with owls attacking?"
He chuckled at his own joke. It was true as his friends would keep everyone save as well as alert him to any trouble. Amelia seemed to be in a talkative mood which was nice. He didn't mind getting to know this new member.

Amelia chuckled at the man, he was adorable and sweet. She didn’t see any rough edges, which was a stark contrast to what she was used to being around. A sweet country boy.
“You can. I would enjoy it, actually.” She winked as she began down the hall. “I’ve only been here for a few weeks. I wouldn’t mind a tour if you’re up for it later. A drunken tour actually sounds fun.” She laughed as they entered the bar.
It was filled with people already. With Emma gone, there seemed to be some disorganization, but that was due to their makeshift Queen being away. She was part of the team to retrieve the Black Queen herself.
Finding two seats, she sat down and ordered herself the Crimson Special, motioning for Nate to sit “So, tell me about yourself.” She smiled sweet as she removed her coat to reveal the black corset underneath.

"A tour I can gladly give. I can even show you some of the hots spots around the city. Or at least, I think so as it is what the other members have said. Usually, I'm not allowed in as they serve a certain clientele."
He followed her as he kept pace. He kept his smile on as things seemed to flow easily conversation wise with her. It was different from the other members of the club. She talked to him like an equal, well as equal as one can get with a vampire. The people in the bar gave off a relaxed feeling. He could understand as the White Queen was currently on a mission. His talents would not be of use this time around. He would not dare leave his post if she was here. He had a good excuse at the moment even if no one would see it that way.
He sat across from her as he ordered a stout beer. He liked the hoppy taste though it was mostly his Scottish blood that could handle the stronger liquor. It was hard not to miss the curves of her body as the coat was taken off. He had to force his eyes on her face.
"Not much to tell, honestly. I grew up on a pretty big nature reserve with my parents. I was home schooled and helped with school groups when I was old enough. Some stuff happened and I ran away from home. I was taken in by a nice family until they found out that I was a mutant. I landed here as Hellfire got me out of jail. Hell, they have helped me learn to hone my gifts as a few more manifested along the way."
He glazed over the reason behind him leaving. He was an open book with the exception of that. It was an event that he would rather forget. His mentor knew what was behind his leaving home as well as the leadership. They had yet to have him use his license to fly. Maybe someday he would take to the sky again.
"So what's your story for checking out the club?"

"So what's your story for checking out the club?"
Swirling the liquid around in the cocktail glass, she listened to Nate with a smile. An eyebrow raised as he admitted running away from home. This piqued her curiosity even more. "It sounds like you had a decent upbringing. Why run?" she asked as she brought the glass to her lips for a sip. "The club is good for honing your skills, I'm sure Frost had a hand in that." she commented softly "I came here..." she trailed off, wondering if she should even bring it up.
The pain was still there. It made her blood boil just thinking about it. She may be undead, but the pain was everlasting. She let him in, and then he left. She left her family to be in the states with him. She'd made a mistake, and it would never be repeated. Shaking it off, she swallowed "I hung out in the states for a bit." she began, her voice steady, trying not to put much emotion into her tone "Something happened and I needed to get out. My coven resides in Venice. I'm an heiress, so if they need me, I'm close." she finished as she pushed her glass forward for another. "I've been speaking with Emma, told her what happened and she demanded that I come. she didn't say for what, but she guaranteed me a room and endless...crimson specials..." she winked playfully.

Nate cleared his throat as he was asked the one question that he really didn't want to answer. It was painful, sometimes overwhelmingly so. He knew that no one would recognize him from the days at the reserve or if they did, it could easily be explained away. Ms. Frost did have a lot to do with his training. He filled a need for her as he acted, at points, as a spy to her enemies. No one ever suspects an owl outside of windows and doors. Their hearing made it easy to keep safe distances, much better than the modern day bugs.
His head cocked sideways as she was about to say something than changed the approach. He would not press what the other reason was. It mattered little to him as part of his job at times was to keep the guests safe and happy. Tonight, he was more than willing to do so. It was just like Ms. Frost to not tell anyone about her grand plan unless you were in the inner most circle like Daphne.
"Well Ms. Frost will let you know when the time comes. She keeps her cards close to her chest, so to speak." He leaned a little closer as he pushed his drink to forward. "Well hopefully I don't catch you when you are starving. If you ever need something and I'm here, let me know. I will gladly see what I can do." He gave her a playful smile as he took a sip. She was interesting and really good looking. "I will admit, I am happy that you accepted the invitation. The club gets a little stuffy with all the regulars."
He stopped from calling them all high and mighty with sticks up their arsses. He was thankful for all the help they gave to him. He knew that he was the low man on the totem pole which means that he was expendable.

Amelia chuckled at that. He did indeed have the characteristics of the avian species. The way he carried himself showed. She gave a laugh to his offer "If I need help? So, if I'm desperate enough, I can bite you?" she asked with a playful wink as her drink was refilled. Spinning her seat so that she was facing him directly, she licked her lips "You're interesting, Nate. It's refreshing to meet someone here with an actual personality. Someone that doesn't have a damn stick shoved way up their ass." she smiled gently "So, what'll you say, Birdman? Come out and play with me?" she asked as she sipped from her glass. The blood had stained her lips an even darker shade of red. "You can get a feel for just how deadly my race really is...if you're up for it." she whispered seductively.
Illyana entered the Club. She was wearing a black club dress with a very light jacket over the top of it. She war long boots with a 4 inch heel at the end. There was a firm and hard clicking sound as she walked into the club.
The cold didn't seem to bother her from the outside. A very slight burnt sulfer smell carried over from the door as she entered that faded away. She fumbled around to get a drink of some sort before continuing to walk into the club.
She was speaking on a Cellphone in german. The call seemed to be flirty and playful. The words were either personal or a code it was hard to tell. She was checking her watch for a moment. She seemed to have something on her mind, or something else she was here to do.

She makes a cursory scan of the room she pauses briefly enough to acknowledge others in the room before taking a moment to sit down.
Nate nearly spit out his drink when she asked about biting him, should the need call for it. He swallowed hard as he sat back. He coughed a little as the beer slid down the wrong pipe. He "heard" the call from his friend that a woman had entered into the club.
He nodded to one of the regular members as he took another sip. He watched her take a seat before his attention turned to back with the movement of her body. He was in shock with how bold this woman was for being a visitor. It was almost as if she read his mind about the other members. He wondered how much trouble he would get if he left the club. He could always argue that he was helping recruit a new member.
The sound of her voice, her dark lips, and her eyes drew him in like a moth to the flame. He could not resist even if he wanted to at this point. He would deal with the consequences later. He swallowed hard as he answered her.
"As long as you are gentle, I might not mind helping feed your appetite. I don't know if Ms. Frost would like her helpful spy completely drained." He gave her a quick wink as he smiled back at her. "I could come out and play with you for awhile. Though the others usually call me Birdboy but I think Birdman works a lot better. It would be nice to maybe have a shorten part of my code name catch on."
He took another swig of his beer. "Lead the way when you are ready, Amelia."

Illyana watched the interplay of Nate and Amelia and had a slight smirk on her face. She pulled out a small leather bound notebook and was reading from it.
~?юалед я отч ,ьтяноп хи ьтиватсаз гом я каК ?ретиП илИ ?уцто и емам ужакс я отЧ~ She wrote backwards in Russian, which was something she seemed to be practicing in the book as she worked.
Momma and Poppa were simple....Peter less so. He left for America though, and she would rather keep her own distance from him till she felt more comfortable with her ability to make him understand and see.
She continued with her writing.

She broke for a moment to observe Nate and Amelia and ponder what she should do next.

Amelia laughed out loud before nodding. Oh she could have fun with this one! Licking her ruby red lips, she pushed her emptied glass toward the edge of the bar before hopping down from her stool "I like Birdman...it's sexy." she winked playfully as she smelled the new blood enter the club. Closing her mouth, she sniffed the air slowly, savoring every delicious aroma was that presented. That woman...
Amy tilted her head, she tried to assert who this person was. She read from the pages of an antique...the language, Amelia couldn't figure from that moment. "Nate..." she whispered quickly "Do you know that? Her?" she asked quietly, grabbing her leather trench as she covered herself.

Illyana looked up at Ameilia "That?" She chuckled coldly "Are we not all Това́рищ here?" She folded up her book and approached the two of them she looked Nate over pondering him for a moment " I have not had the pleasure of meeting you My name is Illyana Nikolaevna." She looks at Ameilia "I have not had the pleasure of meeting you yet, but I have probably heard of your reputation." She offers her hand to Amelia in a friendly and casual way. Her perfume has a rose scent and the sulpher scent seemed to be slowly dying down.
She turned to Nate "And this is your prey for the Eve?" She looks Nate over for a moment nodding to him "Or he could be a predator as well."
She turned to Nate "And this is your prey for the Eve?" She looks Nate over for a moment nodding to him "Or he could be a predator as well."
Nate felt his smile grow larger as she mentioned the name was sexy. At this point, she could call him any thing and he would not mind. He slid down from his stool as he chugged the rest of his beer. He placed it on the edge of the table as he waited. He noticed that she seemed to pause in her actions of leaving. He placed a hand on her lower back as he waited.
He looked toward the woman who she was talking about. He knew a little of her. His tone matched her own, "She is a member here. I can't say that I ever caught her name. I'm good with faces of most of the members."
He heard what Illyana said. He watched her walk over to them. His playful smile faded a bit as she looked him over almost like a piece of meat. He felt a bit unnerved. It was not helped with the little information he had on her.
His voice was a little strained as his answered. "You might have seen me around. I usually stand watch at the door. Nate Meyer. Nice to put a face with ya name."

Illyana takes a moment and smiles "Of course. You are the door man. " She grins a bit "I have seen you before. This club is a nice place for me to relax. And you are a worthy guardian."
She looks around the room "This place has a deeper sense of truth to it then the world outside. Thats why I enjoy it so much." She turns to Illyana "So I apologize if I interrupted your hunt."

"He's not prey, nor predator, Miss...Illyana." She replied coolly "Pleasure. I'm new here, so I don't have the warmth of the club entrancing me just yet." she continued in s dark whisper, her smooth Italian accent seeping through. "Russian, yes?" she asked as she ran a hand through her dark brunette locks. Looking back to Nate, she smirked..that was until the smell.
Her hazel eyes instantly faded into an iridescent blue, just as her canines grew twice their size. She shot Nathan a look before snapping her attention to the door "Son of a..." she growled under her breath "I'll be...right back.." She finished, her tone dark with anger.

Illyana smiles "Я родился, но не вырос в Сибири. В Иркутской области." She grins slipping into english. "Though that part of Siberia is closer to Mongolia then Moscow." She looked over Nate with a bit of a smile. "All men are either Prey or Predator. Women as well." She grins pleasingly looking him over. She watched her head out the door and turned to Nate "We can have a spot of fun perhaps tonight."
As they ran outside there were three large black wolf-men. Their flesh expanded and they towered over other men. Claws extending. Their snouts took a moment to sniff the air. They seemed surprised at the Brunette's appearance. They were less surprised at the blond woman's appearance. Their muscles tensed as they were ready to lunge. The Russian woman draws from her chest a large sword that glows bright. As she pulls it out of her the light starts to spread around her body forming a glowing white armor with black accents and traces. Illyana's eyes flicker in color for a split second as she readies her sword for the battle to come.

Nate stood very still as his eyes looked between the two woman. His hand dropped to his side, unsure what to do. He oddly felt caught in the middle of them. It was something that has never happened to him before. The Russian made him shiver as she offset him quite a bit. He found them quite the opposite. He didn't think of people like that even though he knew all about predator and prey.
He saw the smirk as he wondered what Amelia was planning. It was until he saw her eyes turn blue with the fangs coming down. He could sense the dangerous nature of species, especially with that look. He wondered what had gotten under her skin so quickly.
Alarm bells went off in his mind. Three unknown men where near the door. Bethal and her friends started to circle around as they sent him pictures of what they looked like. It would explain why Amelia took off so quickly. He would guess that it is the archenemy of her kind as most likely she smelled them. They kept sending him pictures of their movements. He missed most of what Illyana said to him as he headed to the door before she finished. His hide would be taken if they made it into the club. He sent a message to his friends to keep their distance until they attacked. Maybe he would be able to talk everyone down before things got worse.
He stepped in front of the woman as his feet transformed into talons along with feathers growing from his arms. He crossed his arms over his chest as he puffed out his chest. His stance was wide as he was ready for a fight, just in case. The owls circled just out of the reach of the werewolves.
"I ask you to pass by as no one wants to get hurt. This is private property and to my knowledge, you are not invited. Keep moving or there will be trouble."

The Werewolves pause very briefly for a moment. They seem to evaluate the Owl man slowly before they lunge forward, their bodies flowing almost in liquid movement. Nate gaining a werewolf, Illyana, and Amelia. They gain as much speed as they can moving forward before they connect. The leader of the three seems to move for Illyana.
Illyana moves forward towards the werewolf coming to attack her. Her eyes seem to glow for a moment as she does. She strikes first, blocking the werewolf from initially attacking with her sword. As she does the black highlighting on her armor seems to expand. And from her head two black horns seem to emerge a slight bit of flame teasing off them. Her own teeth start to form into canines.
The second strongest of the wolves lunges at Amelia. It howls before making its movement however. It seems to be making a call for help, almost as if it feels the need for additional support for the battle. It runs towards Amelia on all fours and makes a upward movement with its hands to strike at her and knock her to the ground.
The third makes its way toward Nate. It also howls but this howl is more mournfully seeking out additional wolves. It runs towards Nate on two legs. It keeps its eyes moving trying to keep its attention split between Nate and his owls. It lunges with a powerful downward Strike at Nate as it seeks to cut him into ribbons.

"Bunch of rabid dogs..." she curses under her breath. She had encountered the pack before and she given them a hard warning. All she needed to do was call for her coven and they could be mince meat. As the wolf knocked her to the ground, she flipped up and appeared behind him. Kicking him into his spine with such force, he was thrust into the brick wall of the club.
"You've got some nerve to be out in the open. The agreement was to stay in the shadows enough to survive. You're breaking the deal, thus severing ties with the coven." she yelled furiously "If you don't remember, let me refresh your goddamned memory..." she spit out in anger as she grabbed the wolf that had attacked her by the throat. "I've fought your people for centuries." she continued as she threw him again, following the path of canine blood she had shed onto the dirt alley "The cost of breaking this bond is death." she remarked as she grabbed the wolf again as it whimpered, striking her in the abdomen. As she was thrown across the alley, her anger rose as she felt her torso. Clenching her teeth, she used her superhuman speed and lunged at him. Biting into his neck, she ripped his throat open "I am Amelia Korvanance, daughter of the Dark Lord of Romania. Heiress to the Korvanance Coven, the largest and strongest in this world." she snared as she hand slipped into her leather pants, removing her pistol from its holster.
Snapping the hammer of the pistol, she aimed the barrel at the wolf attacking Nate, "ENOUGH!!!" she yelled darkly as she pulled the trigger at the wolf attacking Nate. A silver bullet struck the arm of the beast, sending a shock of pain throughout its body. Looking to the Russian, she she sneered. The woman had talent, but she had no idea who she was. "This ends now!" she huffed as she looked to the beast obviously in charge "YOU. What is your business here?!" she asked as she pointed the pistol between his eyes.

Nate sighed as the wolves lunged towards his home. Guess they were looking for trouble. Defend nest, he sent to his friends. He finished his transformation as he grew wings, talons, and a beak. The owls swooped down in a small groups tearing at the flesh of the beast as it narrowed in on Nate.
He had trained with the stronger members as he knew a few techniques as he was the front line. He leapt into the air with a powerful thrust of his arms. The werewolf was able to catch the bottom part of his leg in between the powerful claws. Nate howled in pain as his other foot racked talons along the back of the beast. His arms sent powerful blows of air as his friends kept damaging the beast. It flew backwards as Nate howled in even more pain.
He saw another group of his friends went over to help the Russian woman even though Amelia had gone else where. He had a feeling she would not need the help though he knew his friends would be there just in case. He gained altitude before starting his dive bomb. The werewolf looked up as he started to leap into the air. Nate lowered his head as he rammed it into the belly of the beast. He caused it to crash into the ground as he tumbled away.
He was getting to his feet as Bethal went to distract the werewolf just as the shot went off. Nate turned around as he saw the werewolf in a lot of pain. The glint of steel he caught as Amelia demanded an explanation. Despite the blood starting to pool around his talon, his eyes never left the enemy that was down. He widen his stance as he was expecting another attack.

The Alpha of the pack looked between Illyana and Amelia, and looked at Nate with gruding respect. Two other werewolves aproached but they paused seeing the wounds on their friends. The Alpha turns human and looks at Amelia. "You just got in the way, a fun accident." The wolves again confused look between each other and towards the Alpha. Illyana had transformed further. Her legs now resembed those of a black goat and she had a long tail with a spade. As she spoke her voice came out actually as three disonant voices. The Voice of the little girl, a voice of a Bestial woman, and the voice they had all heard. She looked at the Alpha her talons carressing his face. She looks at him and moves her sword at his gut.
She speaks with a focused voice of an 8-10 year old girl."I am going to penetrate you, and you will concent. Or you will wish I left you for the Vampire to play with." It pauses for a moment and doesnt flinch as she cuts a large hole in its abdominal skin and she sticks her tail. inside it. The light from the sword seems to be inhibiting the werewolf's ability to heal. She smiles a tooty and fanged grin. "Momma would say you have good stew meat inside of you. But if I kill you and feast on your flesh your pack would grow stronger. And I do not want to do you a kindness."
The other werewolves seem to be taking clues from the Alpha who is holding his position in lots of pain.
She then moves into the Bestial voice. "I will continue this kindness. But you will tell us the name. And if you tell us the name you might live." She carresses her hand on his face her voice being more normal now. "I might even be kind enough to let the vampire take you. But there are much worse beds in which I can make you lie."
"S'ym." He sputters for a moment blood coming from his mouth. "He offered to pay, he was willing to pay anything. He thought you would be weak being among humans. You wouldn't be willing to go far enough."
Illyana laughs in all three voices. The Werewolf shudders and continues. "He would have paid us well enough we could have paid off any problems we had with the Vampires for killing one of theirs. It was too good to be true."
Illyana's eyes turn entirely white all other color emptying from them. She speaks in her normal voice again. "If my friend you have offended with your violence lets you live....I give you back your life on one condition. You will have a scar. A scar longer and deeper then any you have carried before or since. You will tell anyone the price of trifiling with me. I will not be this kind again." She withdraws her tail and licks the Werewolf's blood from it. "And if you fail in this duty I will come find you. I will drag your pack somewhere that I can properly see your resiliancy in action. You will experience such delights that you will no longer wish for death because you will no longer be able to understand existance without pain."
She holds the sword still burning with a white hot fire. She waits for Amelia to see if she has anything else she wishes to say to the Werewolf
