(Transferred from the old board)
A young, slim blonde woman with brown eyes looked to the television transmission from inside the Braddock mansion. A single tear streamed down her pale cheek as she witnessed mutants being taken in by force, collars around their necks. "Destiny!" she yelled from her room, forcing herself to look away. The 13 year old took in a heavy breath as her older sister came rushing inside "Isla, what's wrong?" she asked softly, putting both hands into the girl's shoulders "I know what you've been doing.." she sighed heavily as she pulled a luck of brown hand behind her ears "Mom is going to be fine." she spoke reassuringly "Dad won't let anything happen to her, and we have people here that totally won't let anything happen.
And don't forget, Mom is kind of a badass."
Cate stood in the doorframe behind her two daughters "I'd lecture you on your language, Des, but you're spot on there." she smiled warmly as she approached the two. Wrapping her around them tightly, she closed her eyes "I am going to be fine, babies. I promise..."
Oliver's boys came running into the room as the news was playing and the quiet one, the one who looked more like Daphne stared intently at the screen. They all were roughly the same size. Which owed more to their dad's genetics more than their mothers. They had his blonde hair and chiseled features. The only difference in the triplets was that one of them had the pink eye and one blue eye. Ian was always quiet and usually more thoughtful before taking action. He did take action though. He had yet to show if he was born with any gifts but there was no rush.
Elwood spoke up as he came up beside Destiny.
"I wouldn't worry about it much. America is how does your dad say it...hmmmm...yes a riot in a parrot factory sometimes."
Aidan shoved his brother away from Destiny with a laugh as he agreed with her. Their mom was a bad ass but they really should see his mom when it came to doing really bad ass things. She was just amazing.
"I have to agree with you about your mom but you should really see our mom! Hell our dad!"
Ian moved around the room with a book in his hand. He was reading in it about physics. He was always asking questions about their world and usually he would get answers. He signed to his brother Aidan to leave Isla alone or she may thump him. Another benefit of having a mute mother. You learned sigh language.

Isla closed her eyes, trying to calm herself down. They had moved from their home to stay here. It was safer, their mother said. Her mom was always out in the world working and being an advocate for mutant equality. Even in the face of danger, she trudged on. She looked over to Ian and laughed. She understood sign language, but only the basics. Looking up and opening her green eyes, the girl smiled to Ian "It's okay, Ian. I'm turning it off..." she sighed as she closed her laptop.
Destiny laughed as a slight blush came over her cheeks "You're mom is a total badass! I would like to spend more time with her, learn from her. Self defense and such. Gotta be ready for when they take over." she winked.
Cate folded her arms "Okay guys...it's time for dinner. Girls.." she spoke in a stern, but gentle tone "I'll be there, but I have a meeting after, so I won't be able to tuck you in. Dad will be here, though." she smiled warmly.
Looking to the boys, she nodded "Your mother is a woman of conviction and fierce. I'm glad she's in our corner."

Elsewhere in the kitchen, Oliver had flipped the burgers on the griddle, planted a variety of cheeses on the meats and had set out plates along the dinner table. Stuffed burgers with peppered veggies was on the menu tonight. They had a a small farm in the woods, and it was dense enough that they could easily hide anything.
Oliver worried about the current position they were in. He worried for his wife, himself and the rest of their team. His kids, thank god didn't display any signals of being mutants, so they should be safe. It was only a matter of time before the combatants plowed through their area...

Aldrif Odinsdottir had been on Alfheim, also called Ljosalfheim, home of the light elves. She had stopped there to actually to take some time to reflect. It had been a rough few years helping her brother Thor. They split up when word got to them that their father had gone missing. Thor had took off to find Loki, believing that he had something to do with it. Aldrif had gone to Anaheim to think.
It had not taken her long to come up with a list of places that her father could have gone. Out of all the places only one really stuck out. Midgard, Earth. Her father had always loved earth. For Aldrif earth was an interesting place. Humans were the closest to Asgardians than any other creature in the universe.

So she stood and swung her axe creating an infinity sign in the air creating a single bifrost. Stepping into it she focused in earth and the only name that she had remembered hearing, Braddock.
Stepping out of the bifrost she looked around to see that she was in what looked like garden outside of a mansion.

Krys sighed as she tossed her short blonde hair around. It barely brushed her shoulders. It was easier to maintain when she needed to run. It seemed to be a common occurrence now a days. She kept close to the rest of the team these days. Funny how a war causes enemies to be friends. Mainly she wanted to watch her nieces grow up. They were her only family besides, Tavish.
She smiled as she gripped his hand tightly. It was nice to have a partner of sorts on the slopes, even if he could not keep up. She was a devil on the snow. It something that she had not lost and loved teaching others.
She squeezed his hand as she looked up him. "Ready to see the hoard again? I'm sure Ollie is cooking up something tasty."

Aldrif started to walk towards the mansion. It had been quite a while since she had been to Midgard. As she made her way she realized the last time she was here was when Erik the Red discovered Greenland. She smiled a bit at the thought of Erik. As vicious as he was she proved to him that he was not only one that was vicious.
Shaking her head a bit she looked around and spotted what looked like sliding glass doors. Not wanting to scare anyone she slowly made her way towards the door calling out. "Hello."

Tavish gripped her hand back gently “Aye, lets go see those munchkins, love.” He replied softly before bringing her hand to his lips, kissing it gently.
“I do need to call into Hellfire once we’re there. I’ve been out of reception for a few hours now.” He didn’t want to bring up his work, but Hellfire was a part of him. He was kind of a liaison between Excalibur what what dating Krystal and such. He was able to become common ground.
As they approached the door, he stopped dead in his tracks “Who....is tha?” He asked softly as his heart began to race.

Aldrif stopped when she noticed two individuals who were approaching the door from the opposite side of where she was coming from. She looked to them and raised her axe in front of her shield. "I mean no trouble. I am looking for my father."
Krys nodded her head as she understood that he still needed to work. It was funny at first, she resist his devilish charm as she was held captive. The hours that they spent together caused her to realize that he was not all that bad. Hell, he even helped her get free of that place. After that, they started to date in secret. She hated not telling her sister, yet it was for the best. It strained the relationship a little, for in the end they were stronger for it.
She took a step or two forward only to realize he had stopped dead. She followed his vision as she saw a strange woman. She dropped his hand and she crossed her arms around her chest. She had no idea who this person was and disliked uninvited guests. Clearly from her statement, she was not from around here.
"Two questions, Who are you and why come here looking for your father?"

Aldrif relaxed a little and lowered her shield and sheathed Her sword. She looked at the two and did her best to smile. Both her brothers had said that she always looked angry. The woman seemed upset and the man seemed surprised. When the woman asked who she was and why look for her father here, Aldrif's smile broadened. She always liked when a woman took charge.
Bringing her hand, clenched in a fist, to her heart. She bowed slightly, " I am Aldrif Odinsdottir. I have come to Midgard looking for my father, The All Father, Odin."

Tavish examined her stature and observed her weapons. She clearly wasn’t from around here. “I don’t think you’re in the right place.” He spoke suddenly “Uhh...” he leaned over to Krystal “Love, I think she likes you...” he noticed the woman smile, to which he let down his guard a bit.
“You mean, Odin...the god, right?” He asked quizzically “As in Asgard? Holy shite.” If she was actually speaking of Asgard, the real Asgard, then they had a situation on their hands. They had enough to deal with lately, and this was just taking the cake.
“Perhaps we should get Brian...”

Aldrif tilted her head a little at the question of Odin. She grinned when the man's comment about Asgard. She wondered how long it had been since her brother had been here.
"Yes, Odin the All Father from the real Asgard. He is missing. it is widely known in Asgard that he has a soft spot for Midgard. I am hoping that he might be here. He is needed back home."
She took a few tentative steps forward. "Who is Brian?"

Krys looked over at Tavish as he whispered. The smile did make her wonder just a bit. She shrugged, "Maybe, who knows darling."
Asgard was defiantly a place that she was not familiar with. The name Odin rang a slight bell. She really didn't know how to respond as much as they had been busy with other things.
"Well good luck finding him. Earth is a bit of a shit show right now. Careful that the sentinels don't find you. Brain is our leader. He might be able to help you a little more us."
She looked at her love an then back to Aldrif, "He might be around, if you want to hang out here for a second. I can give him a call."

Tavish wrapped a protective arm around Krys "Ye might want to call him now..." he spoke softly, his eyes never leaving Aldrif. "I shouldn't be here when Brian comes, love, but I'll stay in any case."
"Perhaps you can stay on the grounds while Krys and I make contact with the head of the facility..." he spoke to the nordic woman, his scottish accent making heed as he instilled his dominance. "Why don't you have a seat in the mean time. We can bring you cookies or something."
