(This was transferred from the old board)
Daphne had finally finished up the preparation that Emma had wanted completed for the incoming mutant refugees so they could be taken care of and shown that there was a country that would welcome them. She had done this through indirect sources and Daphne had ensured it was done. She walked into the kitchen looking like she had been rolled down a hill in a barrel. She didn't sign at him Oliver only walked over to him and hugged him from behind to lean on him. His solid and unyielding bulk was a comfort to her. Emma had found a porter to take her to America and find those who were in desperate need and well she hadn't told Oliver about it yet as he would be rather upset. Her sexy and caring husband would lose his infinite temper with her and well that wouldn't be good. Sure she could dodge couches and cars but she had to still sleep with him.
Oliver felt her light touch, even as she hugged him from behind. She was feather light and he could barely feel her, but he recognized her touch over the years. It was magic and he adored her. He smiled warmly as he set the pan downs gently and slowly turning over “Hey love...” he whispered softly to his bride “We can beckon the terror trio in a few, dinner is almost ready.” He grinned, looking down to his wife. It had been rough, he wouldn’t lie. He protected his family the best he could, but the great was still out there. He was Titan, and he was Godly strong, but he wasn’t immortal.
She sighed as her husband turned around to hug her. His large and strong arms encompassed her and she felt safer already. His mere presence always comforted her as much as when Emma would converse with her in sign language. She stood up on her tippy toes and still had to grab the front of his shirt to pull him down for a kiss. She was short and while she didn't mind dating the large and beautiful man that was always his way, when he leaned down, of giving in. She loved it. When she released the soft and gently kiss she signed at him.
~"Is Ian still using sign language instead of talking?"~
She always asked as the other two boys loved to be loud. Except him. They all had their father's build but Ian seemed to take after his mother.
A little too much. They had tried to get her to talk and well that was a lot of therapy and doctor appointments. It all turned out that she didn't have any issues.
~"I'll give over. How have you been today? I was so rude by not asking first and worrying about our boys."~
“*Don’t apologize, love. You have no need to be sorry. If this is the way Ian wants to communicate, then we should encourage it. He’s a brilliant young man and he takes after the fairer parent.” He winked as he stole another kiss “Aiden and Elwood have enough personality to balance everyone out. Ian is perfect the way he is. That being said, there is much we need to discuss after dinner. The states need help. I’m not going anywhere, but some of our team are...”
She shook her head as she told her not to apologize. She had been rude and while working with someone like Emma Frost she had cultivated a certain attitude but one she had learned to put the side when dealing with real people instead of those that Emma dealt with and then some. She always had to remember that better things were going on. It was then Emma would ask to see her beautiful nephews and she would take her boys to see their Aunt Emma. It was a long and winding road.
~"He is certainly...I just wish he would actually talk. It's not like he isn't capable. You know he said dada first out of all our boys."~
She stopped herself as she thought of Isla. That young woman seemed to be on his radar as it was and well they got on well. She didn't like the fact that the girl could gather he boy's attention more than she could as his mother. That was jealousy and she knew it. A mother's jealousy. When he mentioned the team going she smile and touched his cheek softly as she stared into his eyes.
~"If you must go and support your team I can get the time off. I mean after all Auntie Emma would love to see the boys. She spoils the hell out of them every chance they get."~
She narrowed her eyes and decided to ask about Isla.
~"Are Isla and Ian close?"~
“He’s a strong kid, love. I know he can talk, but perhaps he is trying to be like his mother? He was the first one you held when they were born. He never wanted to let you go. He sees you as someone to look up to. That’s probably why...” he whispered as he kissed her forehead.
“And I’m not going anywhere. My place is here. Betsy and the gang can handle it. We’ve got to have people here to protect the house if the Sentinels arrive.” He whispered softly “And Isla? Hmmm...” he pondered for a moment.
“He and Isla I think are close. They’re children. She’s sweet, just as he is. Why? Are you jealous, love?”
He laughed lovingly.
She loved her sons and that caused a small swelling of her heart. She was proud of him and worried at the same time. Oliver wa right though about how clingy he was when he was born and younger. He wasn’t totally clingy now but he was one of their sons. His touch always sent a small thrill through her. It was such a difference from when she had seen him actually use his mutant ability. He was so gentle and well she stopped herself.
~*”You’re right I shouldn’t worry but I do. They’re our boys and as a parent we have small and usually unfounded worries.”*~
When he said his place was at home it made her smile. Her husband could say the right thing at the right time. She was so glad they didn’t fight each other. That could have been destructive.
~*l ”I wasn’t worried about losing you unless they figured out a way to totally negate your ability. I was just saying that I understand if you felt the need to go. That’s all.” ~
When he spoke of Isla and Ian she could see why Ian would want to get close with her. She was absolutely adorable and as she grew would be smashingly gorgeous. She want jealous, was she? Maybe a little. That was her little boy. She signed curtly.
~ ”No! Why would I be jealous?!? Hey! What kind of question is that?!? She just a little girl and the daughter of one of my best friends. I swear laser brains I don’t know where you get your delusions from.” ~
She quoted one of her favorite science fiction movies. She loved that man. He was a surprise but a pleasant one. He just couldn’t be any more than he was and what he was just filled her mind at times to make her feel pinch drunk.
~ “I see your making the kids favorite? Any reason?” ~
Oliver burst out laughing You're such a nerd, Daph.” He laughed gently, his free hand running through the pink portion of her hair “I’m not leaving unless I have no choice. And if I leave, I’m taking you all with me. We won’t be safe forever, love, so I’ve prepared a shelter underground. It’s sort of a ‘Oh shite, we need to run” plan. It’s stocked for about 10 years full of dried foods, an industrial strength water filter, supplies...you name it, we’ve got it.”
He stirred the food once more, smelling the savory aroma as it hit his nose. “With the serious state of affairs and the fact that our children are growing up faster than we’d like, I figured a favorite for dinner is just what they need tonight. I’ve just gotten word that her armies have hit the UK. It’s not nearly as bad as the US, but time will tell. For now, let’s enjoy the quiet. Let’s enjoy each other and our children.” He spoke gently, a small hint of worry in his tone.
He was beyond happy that things worked out between them. He considered himself the luckiest man alive. “Lets just make sure Ian and Isla stay appropriate.” He snickered “But I mean, he’s my son..”
Daphne gave a smile at being called a nerd. It was true she loved some of the best science fiction movies and was known to quote them at time. She didn’t understand though how that made her a nerd. She enjoyed the films and...she was digressing and therefore not focusing on the subject of their son and Isla.
~ “That may be true about me being a nerd but what nerd can do what I do besides wish to do such things?” ~
It was a great question and one she was about to pursue but he had to do touch her hair. She loved that and probably the reason they had children. He was so strong and powerful but his touch was so gentle that it could just make her forget what she was thinking. She had to focus though. He wasn’t leaving but he had already created a safe place for them but he knew better than to try and make her go.
~ “That is wonderful you have thought of the children. I can’t say that you don’t think of the things I can’t because you do honestly. It’s right now that Ms. Frost is hidden away from Sentinels should they ever come here.” ~
That was surprising to hear that the crazy woman bent on the destruction of all mutants had the gall to attack England. There had to be a reason for it. She didn’t strike her as the type to go around pissing people off without good cause. She brushed it aside as she focused on Oliver and what he was saying.
~ “Well she is bent on destroying everything she doesn’t deem correct or human. I mean yes let’s enjoy our children definitely. I know you want to keep any of our boys from being a little to fresh with any young woman. I certainly do as well.” ~
Yes that was the correct phrase appropriate was the right word.
~ “I like that word. Appropriate is the right word. Let’s keep them appropriate.” ~
She made her angry face at Oliver over the he is his son crack. The nerve that man had when she could stab him five times before he could react. It really wouldn’t do much because all she had were kitchen knives but still the idea of him encouraging his boys.
~ “Oliver! You have some stones you! Just because he is your son doesn’t mean…” ~
She was smiling as she stopped signing at him swiftly. She knew that he was kidding but still there was the status of being a protective mom to keep up and she was trying but she wouldn’t stunt any of her sons emotional growth.
~ “Yes the mighty Titan who conquered the poor and helpless Daphne. Changed her evil ways. Then decided to plague the world with not one but four children. How could I ever forget how big and strong you are.” ~
Now she was poking fun at him.
Oliver looked to her sweetly as he turned off the burner. Placing both hands into her face and giving her a soft grin , he whispered “I know. I know Ian is every aspect of you, so I know he will be as sweet and caring and completely responsible. He’s got his wits about him and he’s smart. If he and Isla do end up dating, I have faith they will be smart. She’s the daughter of two people we love dearly and all of our kids are being raised with virtue.
When I have spare moments, I have been training them to survive out there. Don’t forget the store I have downtown...which is probably flattened concrete by now, but I digress.” He smirked before kissing her gently “but for now, it’s dinner time and I’m sure you’re starving, as usual.” He winked.
He heard the chatter in the background. The news was always on and he’d just heard the word about Hellfire. Closing his eyes, he shook his head “Where is Frost and the rest of the Inner Circle being held? They’re attacking Hellfire now.”
She looked at him and his gentle touch always calmed her when she was worried about things happening to them or their children. He always calmed her down and those dark thoughts and now wasn’t any exception. He was right that their boys were hungry and wanting food. She hadn’t seen their daughter for a while so she must be off doing something that wasn’t troublesome.
~ “I know you’re taking care of them and teaching them how to be strong and independent but let us not forget they are still young and full of themselves.” ~
That was all she was going to say about that at this moment. They were good boys and that meant even good boys needed guidance. That is where they came in and gave them that guidance when they needed it. Survival lessons wouldn’t hurt them.
She stopped and looked at him. Her eyes widened with worry when he said they were attacking Hellfire. Emma was safe because they would have to fight through a near army of people to get to her. It would be funny to see them try.
~ “She is safe from them. I mean unless she brings an army it would be folly to attack them but since you are asking it appears they are doing just that. What is the aim of R1K and what does she wish to gain from this?” ~
She was worried about Emma and decided to call her after this was over to ensure she was fine. As for her location she couldn’t divulge that right now as it could endanger her at this moment.
~ “I can’t tell you that as she wouldn’t even tell me. I know I’m part of the inner circle but she knew that I wouldn’t be present so knowing her position wouldn’t help. I have to say I was disappointed when she didn’t tell me.” ~
She had been but understood the reasoning because if anything went wrong she would try to mount rescue. She decided to focus on the boys.
~ “You find your daughter and I’ll get the rest of them. After all Bridgette thinks she can take her mother. I find that laughable.” ~

The unit landed outside. It was merely a frame and it had manners programmed. It rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer. Once they answered it would ask to see the one called Titan. After that it would deliver its message.
The unit rang doorbell again and waited. It was rudimentary in the functions it provided and that meant it would have so much patience and not leave until the message was delivered or it was destroyed. Either way the unit would broadcast confirmation or failure. That was the part it was designed to play.
Bridgette had decided that since no one else was close to the door she would answer it. She couldn't rely on her brothers for anything. They seemed to have lost their minds with puberty and having pretty young women in the house didn't help with it. She really didn't care either way as this was just a moment in life and time passed and feelings changed. She opened the door and took a step back.
"I require the one called Titan for message delivery. Please retrieve him and I shall deliver the message."
She had to restrain herself from smashing the thing that had darkened their doorstep and it requested her dad. She decided to go get him.
"Please step in and stay here as the security system hasn't been deactivated. You understand that right?"
The frame stepped in and answered.
"It is understood."
Bridgette went off to find her dad who was most likely in the kitchen. She decided to use the house wide comms to tell him before anyone else wandered through as well.
The crackle of the comm unit in the kitchen would alert both Daphne and Oliver before she was out the door.
"Da...you have a very strange visitor in the front hall. They are requesting you. Can you come here please?"

Oliver had been busy preparing dinner for everyone when her heard his oldest on the intercom. “What the bloody hell?” He spoke out loud as he wiped off his hands with a kitchen towel. Running a hand through his hair, he walked out of the kitchen and into the main hall, toward his daughter. What he saw in the door frame drove him into instant protective mode “Bridgette, dinner is ready. Go get your brothers and stay in the kitchen, please. Go now.” He gently demanded
Approaching the machine-like creature, he folded his arms “I am Titan. State your purpose and leave, or you will be removed. I cannot promise that you’ll survive.”
