Caius wiped the bar clean and stocked the alcohol for the night. Pouring himself a soda and dumping a handful of limes into it, he leaned against the bar, turning on the tv. It would be a busy night with the fight and a band playing. He only hoped they’d have proper coverage...
Andrew had been having the time of his life. It was an amazing afternoon with getting to know the Brotherhood a little more. He understood why Pietro wanted them to meet everyone. It might be interesting to join, then again he liked the freedom of his life style with Aaron. There was nothing to tie them down. Who knows, they might come around a little more often. He would be okay with that, especially if Teresa was around. Matt was good looking as well however he was unsure how he swung. He enjoyed spending time with the woman.
He turned to her with a dazzling smile, "So who is fighting tonight?"
Wanda walked in with her arms crossed over her chest. It had been an interesting afternoon. The ice cream was tasty. It was interesting seeing all of the different tricks that the twins could do. She looked around as she noticed a crowd had gathered. She stayed close to the group, even as she wanted to go to a corner to watch the festivities.
Aaron leaned against a wall near Toad. He felt for the guy but he didn’t pity him. That he would never do that as it was demeaning. He would have rather just stayed home and drank beer than come here again. Here he was avoiding speaking to people unless Toad asked him a question. He could smell something and he looked at Toad. Maybe he was nervous.
“You nervous around large crowds?”
When Andrew spoke up he looked at his twin with a withering look. He really needed a boyfriend or a girlfriend or both. That was just his brother’s way to do things. One face for the crowd and yet another for everyone else. He saw Wanda and noted that earlier today that Toad seemed to like her. He should help the guy out.
“Heh, maybe a little.” Toad replied sheepishly. When the man offered him advice, his eyes widened with glee “Seriously, bro? I’ll take all the advice I can get, yo!” He grinned from ear to ear. He quickly ordered a hard cider as he waited for a response
“Hey...you want some advice about women?”
“Heh, maybe a little.” Toad replied sheepishly. When the man offered him advice, his eyes widened with glee “Seriously, bro? I’ll take all the advice I can get, yo!” He grinned from ear to ear. He quickly ordered a hard cider as he waited for a response.
Aaron looked at Toad and gave a small smile. He didn’t want to be like others who shit on the guy. He just needed some help and he would be ok. At least he thought he would be ok.
“First of all....not trying to be mean...let’s go and get some cologne on and make sure we don’t smell as much. Come on.”
He drug Toad to the bathroom and showed him the shelf. He smelled them and then offered them to Toad.
“What’s your first name. I refuse to call you Toad. That may be something you allow but I won’t do it. So find one that you like. After tonight we get you a haircut and a wardrobe change.”
He waited while he found one that he liked and demonstrated you sprayed your neck and pulse points and then a little on your shirt.
“With women it’s less is more. Casual conversation. Don’t act totally uninterested but don’t be earnest. Show interest and share some of your interests. It just takes some time and practice. Biggest thing. Don’t be fake. Be yourself.”
He smiled at Toad and motioned him to come along.
Toad heard the question, so which he softly replied quickly “Some chick in the Brotherhood. I forget her name. MMA title or something.” He reponded in an unconfident whisper. He had become depressed about Wanda, but when Aaron had offered to help him, he suddenly had perked up.
“C-Cologne...got it. Ain’t never worn he stuff much. Heh, guess I should, eh?” He asked before being pulled suddenly into the bathroom.
As the man had showed him the different samples, he had picked one out that reminded him of the ocean “Smells good!” He replied happily as he looked to himself in the mirror. “O..Kay...but if I act a little uninterested, won’t that scare them off? I mean, I see Lance chasin’ Kitty all the time, yo. He acts uninterested and then the dumbass loses her.” He shook his head, letting Aaron continue his pep talk “OOOOHHHH....Okay, gotcha. I think I can do that.” He smirked “Name’s Tolensky. Todd Tolensky. They call me Toad because..well..” he chuckled as his extra long, purple and slimy tongue struck out to catch a fly from the ceiling. Slurping it back in, he smiled “Thanks, man. Appreciate it.”
Caius has been serving drinks for nearly an hour, waiting for the second bartender to arrive. With a heavy sigh, he turned around the face his customers, seeing the big burly man himself “Well, I haven’t seen you in a few days. I was beginning to wonder if you vanished into your cave.” He chuckled darkly as he grabbed his zippo from his pocket, handing it to the man. “Cheers...but to what?” He asked as he grabbed bottle of liquor.
Logan had always like places that he could go and throw a few back. This place though was great. He could drink, get shitfaced, and then stumble out to a cab and go home. He was here tonight to watch the fight and drink. He hoped a certain dumbass would wander in and they could give the place s real fight. He hoped not because that may ruin the night and the place. That would really piss Remy off. He wasn’t aiming to do that but he wasn’t going to back down from Creed. Tonight though he would avoid that and just watch a fight and enjoy himself.
He made his way to the bar and took an empty stool. He looked at the bartender and smiled. He had thought he smelled something a little off.
“Hmmmmm....didn’t think there were any of you guys of New York. I guess I was wrong. Let’s get a beer and and shot. Then swap stories about life.”
He chuckled as he pulled out a cigar.
“Got a light?”
Caius heard the behemoth of a man stroll up and grab a stool. His blue eyes observed him as he laughed as he grabbed the man a beer “Language I speak. Not sure about the talking part, but I’ll take a shot with you. Not like it’ll affect me much anyway.” He chuckled “Well, what’s your poison? Tequila, whiskey, bourbon, vodka...” He asked sinisterly.
Cate had walked in from the snow, her heels clicking onto the darkened wood floor of the bar. Taking off her ice blue hat, she ran her fingers through her loosened curls as she showed her ID to the bouncer. Her pink lips smiled as she was allowed in. Looking forward, she sighed as she saw members of the Brotherhood there, some creepy bartender and some new faces. And then...Logan? Well, he usually went out for a few beers and she knew him well enough that it wasn’t a surprise. She was happy to see him.
Walking across the bar in her navy blue dress, she smiled “Can I get a vodka tonic, please?” She asked sweetly as she took out her wallet.
Oliver entered the bar, removing his hat and coat as he observed the area. “Huh, place is nice. I’m surprised.” He chuckled “For being on a sketchy part of town, this is a nice place...”
Angie followed the group into the bar as she dusted snow off her boots. It had been many years since she was been in the cold and snow. It made her think of her childhood home. She was well bundled as she stomped the snow off her ankle edges. She gave her I.D. to the bouncer as she walked further into the bar. She slid her coat from around her shoulders as she followed the blonde girl to the bar. It was decent as it was different from those that were usually found in the London area.
Her fingers ran through her ponytail to detangle it a little. She noticed that the grizzly looking man from the mansion. She looked over her shoulder as she heard the comment from Oliver.
"It is decent. It reminds me a little of a few pubs back at home."
She headed to the bar as she sat close to the grizzled man. "I shall take an apple martini, please."
Wanda noticed that Toad had wondered off with Aaron. It could not be a very good thing. She shrugged as it was hardly her problem. She saw a less packed spot in the corner. She was hardly worried about what was going on. While she had little interest in Toad romantically, she was slightly worried as a friend. Her hand gripped the iPod in her pocket as she noticed an X-men walk in with a few of her friends. She sighed as there might be trouble than again she was not too worried. It would be fun to watch the twins with what they would do when faced with their rivals. For now, it was a good reason to stick around.
Logan looked at Caius and chuckled at his not talking much part. He was sure that the man had some stories. Hell he had stories that could very well rival any the bartender told.
“Let’s go with whiskey, a double, and you seem to talk just fine. Besides who is gonna mess with yay? That’s a mistake right?”
He laughed as the blonde woman sat next to him. The stool gave a creak under his weight but from all outward appearances he didn’t look much over 225 pounds. The truth was he was more than appearances let on much like their bartender. Cate’s voice carried to him over the din of conversation. Well she must be out with a good time in mind. He gave a quick glance to the woman next to him and wasn’t all that disappointed.
“Well bub looks like you have a few others to tend to tonight. Well don’t worry my ass is glued to this stool. Conversation shall be forthcoming and well it’ll take a bit to get me three sheets. So let’s start this right and get that blonde a shot of tequila. No training wheels.”
He looked over at her as he was feeling good tonight. It was a good night and he didn’t know why.
Caius snickered “Nah, I usually just stick to the shadows. I come out when the sun’s down. I lurk. I eat. What else can I do?” He asked as he mixed vodka and fruit juice together for the blondes martini.
Pouring the mixture into a martini glass, he pushed it toward her, along with the shits ordered “12 bucks, sweetheart.” He stated, his voice dark and smooth as velvet.
Cate smiled to Logan “What’s up? Missing your Doc Brown?” She asked with a playful smirk. She meant Cable, but she thought that maybe he would get the reference. Looking to Angie as she got her cocktail, she giggled “GOD! That looks delicious...” she murmered before looking to Caius and pointing to Angie’s drink “One of those..p-please.” She stuttered, realizing just who the guy was.
A vampire. A freaking vampire?! What the hell??
Angie glanced over as the grizzled man when he ordered her a shot. She chuckled at of his confidence level this evening. A smile crossed her face as it might prove fun, for now at least. She didn't mind too much as he was not bad looking. The bartender's choice of words were interesting. She pushed it to the side as it was none of her business. She placed a $20 bill on the counter as she laughed at Cate. She had been getting to know this nice young woman. "They are one of my favorites so good choice, Cate. I like the sweet, smooth taste. It will be a nice chaser if this gentleman offers me another shot or two."
She gave Logan a quick wink of her eye as she cheers him with the glass. She tipped it back before sucking on the lime that came with it. The sour taste helped with the burn of the alcohol. It was not her first choice though she was not one to be rude. She pushed the empty shot glass towards the bar tender. She took a sip of her drink to wash the taste down. Vodka was more of her choice for hard liquor. One might say it was in her blood.
She turned her body more towards the man whom Cate seemed to know. "Angie, and you are? It might be nice if you continue the pattern of ordering me some shots."
Logan looked at Cate when she came up and was sipping on his beer and smiled at her when he put the glass down. Doc Brown...this girl still had her sharp wit from back when she was student and trying to get out of trouble. Caius was interesting because he didn't have to hang out here at all. He could have hung out with him. He wouldn't pick the man's brain in a moment.
"Well you know that you can always hang with me when you have a night off. I wouldn't mind shooting the shit and trading stories. That is if you want to do so."
He took his shot and placed the glass upside down in front of him. He nodded at wanting another one and then turned his attention to Cate.
"Well not really...I mean the guy seems ok but I really don't know what to make of everything. It will take some time to get figure that out. It would have been nice had he come out with us but he stayed behind for some odd reason. It think he wants to keep an eye on the girl."
He laughed as the woman offered up her name. She was quite beautiful and well that went for something he supposed. He had also found out from several more years on this rock that even if a woman was beautiful she may not have the intelligence. Beauty and intelligence were not a common thing. He liked intelligent women and if they were beautiful it was a bonus. He stopped thinking about it and answered the woman.
"Logan...pleasure Angie."
He smiled at her.
A soft smile with the nod of Angie's head was the reply. She mulled the name of man over in her mind. A finger tapped the bar as she heard many names today. Her eyes narrowed as his face was familiar. She guessed that he was most likely from the mansion. She kept quiet on the fact for now.
"While tequila is fine, vodka is much better. The colder the better as my granddad would say. Most Russians say that, or it could be that side of the family." Her accent started to lean a little closer to her home country.
It was a subtle hint as she took another sip of her drink as her eyes scanned the crowd in the bar. She wondered if this was usual. In all honesty, she hardly got out between study, school, and training with Excalibur. Part of her felt the need to go over her flash cards as well as write the paper, part of her told it is fine to relax every so often. She would double down tomorrow as long as her duties allowed her. She could only guess what was on the agenda.
She let the have fun side win for now. She knew it was true to let her hair down every so often. This might help her bound with a potential team mate. It would be good to build a relationship. She crossed her legs as her toes pointed to the ground. Her back was arched as it straightened on the stool. She focused on a little small talk as most of her attention was on him.
"So how long have you and Cate here known each other? Are you expecting this Doc Brown to be joining you or another?"

Logan didn't say much as he looked over at Angie. She may have liked the tequilia but vodka was good as well. If she wanted to do that then it would happen and she would discover what happened when you went shot for shot with him. He hoped Cate was ready to take her friend home. He could take her home but Cate may not like that one bit.
"Well that tells a lot about you. I suppose you could ask me but if you hang out long enough you will learn about me. Especially if you listen to Cate. She has some good stories about me."
Speaking of Cate and how long he has known her caused him to grin a bit. He had watched her grow up and well she might not believe him but he was going to let her know as much. He turned on his stool and took a big drink off his beer and looked at Angie.
"I had the privilege watching Cate grow up into the fine woman she is today. I was one of her teachers at the mansion. As for Doc Brown nah he won't be joining. He is watching a little red head because she is supposedly dangerous. Anyways let's get ourselves a double of vodka."
He looked at Caius and nodded.
"Alright my friend let's do a double of vodka chilled for this woman and myself. After that bring me another beer. You ready Ms. Angie?"
Aaron looked at Todd and when he let his long tongue out he nodded and decided to let him on the next secret about women and what they liked and didn't like. It had to do with eating of things that most considered disgusting. Then there was the whole question about acting uninterested in women and well that was a double edged sword as well. He didn't have all the answers but he had enough of them to help Todd out.
"I know that some guys take the uninterested bit a little to far but there is a point you learn to take it to. Since you are just learning well it wouldn't hurt to take a little bit short then find out what they liked. One other thing I know you like eating small flying bugs and such but some women may not like that. I want you to know they may find it unappealing and disgusting. Try to keep it to a minimum. You will see the effect it has on women."
He smiled as he led him out of the bathroom and decided they would take a table near one of the TVs and watch the fight. This table sat where they could see the dance floor and the door and therefore see any women that entered. He was going to start Todd slow and find him an appropriate woman to start with and since all sorts came in the door.
"Now let's start off slow and find you someone who will find you cute and engage you in conversation. That will tell you what direction to take. Whether you act interested or uninterested. Don't worry you will know and that will help you out when it comes to other times you try to pick up a woman. Oh plus on the Wanda front...she really does not like you. I don't think she likes any guy or herself. Let's leave her alone."
He laughed at his joke about Wanda because she was kind of a bitch and stuffy. That was most likely because she didn't like doing anything. Well her loss.
Gabriella looked to todd "Her name is Celeste and yes MMA title. It should be fun. She just joined the brotherhood." She looked to Andrew and smiled "If you want to come with us all tonight I'm sure I can find you a way in..." She smiled happily. The two of them were Mischievous and she was begininng to like that in an odd way. She needed the Amusement. She looked to Wanda and smiled as they had created all the posters for it earlier that day. She had hoped that even they were beginning to get to know each other better. She perhaps would tell her real name to her at some point. She was going to tell her brother but he disappeared. She wondered why now. She never opened up and now she was beginning to feel she could. First Skye and then Matt who turned out to be her brother, Lawrence came back which suprirsed the holy hell out of her. She had thought he was dead for a very long time. And now even Wanda and this guy Aaron, though she would be cautious about her real name for a little while. Perhaps soon now with Lawrence back she could clear things up and have her life back as her real self. But that wouldn't be until she killed Gayden Creed for what he did to her. And even that...she knew wasn't a good enough price for taking away her family and her emotional innocence. What he did she would have to live with her entire life...But right now wasn't the time for that. For once...well maybe going to this fight it would be fun. Maybe part of her could and would start to heal now...she knew only time would tell.
Cate sipped her drink happily as she observed everyone else. She kind of felt the vibes between Logan and Angie as well. It was sort of obvious, lets just say that. Smiling to Logan, she nodded "I do. I know him pretty well, and he's a good guy when it boils down to it. Sure, he may be rough around the edges, but...he's good." she smirked as she patted his shoulder gently.
Caius laughed as he poured ice into the shaker, followed by vodka. Shaking it with one hand, he gently poured the chilled clear liquid into two glasses "Double vodka for you, and miss lovely here. On the house." he winked wickedly. He was all for the action that Logan was hinting toward. It may not include him, but hell, at least someone had the chance to get laid tonight. Looking over to Cate, he winked mischievously "So...what would you like, blondie?" he asked coolly, his hazel eyes growing blue as he smelled her blood near him.
Cate scoffed to Caius, rolling her eyes as she pushed her glass forward "Another. Thanks." she sighed as she twirled her stool around to look at the TV. "Could someone play music, or something? I want to dance...that's all I've wanted all night...is to dance..." she bit her lip as her next drink was served.
Todd paid full attention to Aaron, his eyes never wavered. He barely took in a breath as the man gave him instruction "I...err..won't dat.." he stopped himself. Everything else he'd been trying had failed. He would listen to the man, and he was do as instructed "Uninterested, but to a point. Got it." he responded softly "Yo, I need a drink. Ya want anything?" he asked quickly. Some liquid courage could definitely help him out this round.
Cate noticed as Gabriella, or Theresa as she was called, walked into the bar. Sipping her drink, she wondered if underage people are allowed in. She decided not to make a fuss. It was neutral territory and she wasn't in the mood to make a stink. As she sipped, she felt the liquor take effect as it relaxed her. Sitting back, she let her shoulders fall a bit as she closed her eyes and smiled.
Bran waltzed into the bar with all smiles. The fight had been incredible and he couldn't believe he was there to witness it. Holding the door open for Serina, he grinned to the others, especially Logan. He did notice from afar, a familiar face on a band poster. Cocking his head to the right, he pointed "Isn't that Skye?" he asked out loud.
Caius heard the name, immediately turning his heels "Heh, yeah...her band is playing in a little over an hour.." he snickered.
Andrew kept his full attention on the woman. He caught the fact of Aaron was wondering off with Toad. He smirked as he could only guess the motive behind it. It was really none of his business. His smile widened as she invited him to come watch the fun. Hell, he might even join the fighters if there was any room for another. He was no stranger to fighting as scars proved that.
"A female fighter and a new member into your ranks. It would be fun to see all aspects of the night out. It might help make my choice as to join. I can't say what my brother would do."
He gave her a bit of a wink as he noticed Wanda in the corner. He noticed the look of wanting to be left alone. It seemed to be normal for her. He waved her over to see if he could not loosen her up a little bit.
"If your boyfriend doesn't mind, I would like to buy you and Wanda a drink."
Wanda noticed that Thersea smiled at her. A tight smile of her own crossed her face. It was fun doing posters for a while with her. It was a break from her painting for the small gallery show. There would be time for that after the fight as she got herself a cup of coffee to help. She groaned as Andrew waved her over to the two of them. She might be able to stomach a little more socialization with Thersea around.
She sighed as she joined the two of them as she looked between them, "What you two up to?"
Andrew chuckled, "Talking and getting a drink. Well I'm buying a round."
Angie smiled as she looked between Cate and Logan. There was a bit of a bound between the two of them. It was kind of sweet. She would trust what the other blonde said about him being a good guy. She would enjoy getting to know each of them better. It was until she needed to go back home.
She nodded as he told her that he was a teacher at the mansion. Something about the image of him teaching seemed a little silly. Maybe he was a gym teacher? It would fit his demeanor than again he could be teaching Literature as well.
"Stories swapping can work. I might have a few of my own."
She snorted when she was asked if she was ready. Drinking often kept one warm on cold winter nights. She laughed as the shot was poured. He would be surprised by how much she could actually throw back as alcohol was part of her heritage. She smiled as she held up the drink with a nod of thanks at Cauis. She made direct eye contact with Logan, "Proast."
When Gabriella saw Wanda smile back even a tight smile she thought of that as a win. She probably hopefully was starting to become friends hopefully. She was glad no one seemed to notice or care as long as she didn't actually drink that she was And shook her head about the drink. If she wanted to stay here knowing she was well under the age she'd just keep her nose clean, which probably seemed unusual as far as she was on the team that was known for doing just the opposite. But for now...She needed to be good. So she drank her soda and wanted to do nothing but maybe dance and looked to Andrew thinking maybe he'd want to dance...
Serina came into the club. She hadn't been here for a long time but she was glad to say hello to everyone. After the mission she'd be going home with Lee and planning...well planning a wedding. She gave a kiss on the cheek to Bran as he held the door for her and smiled taking his hand as they went to the bar. She also saw there was a piano in the bar which it seemed to be a nice one, though unless Gambit said so she wouldn't touch it. The music that was already playing was nice as it was. She went to bar and waved to Logan, actually surprised he was there., however he seemed to be talking to someone so she only waved for until he was finished talking. She sat down at the bar knowing Bran would probably do the same...well It seemed Bran and Logan might talk sooner then she thought. She inwardly chuckled at the thought
Skye parked the car as she and Matthew got out. Going into the backseat, she grabbed her guitar case and her purse. She remained silent as the two walked into the bar, seeing everyone there. There were faces she recognized and then some new. She nodded to Serina as she walked past the group, knowing that they were mostly associated with the X-Geeks. She smiled to Todd, Wanda, Gabs and the rest of the crew before heading over to the stage to set up. Unzipping her leather jacket, she placed it on a stool by the drum set. She wore black leather pants, a white halter corset and black stiletto heels. Her hair was half up, half down, and slightly curled. Her ice blue eyes glowed into the darkness of the club.
Matt nodded to Wanda as he walked in. Looking to Gabriella, he smiled just long enough for her to notice. Looking to Aaron and Andrew, he simply nodded in their presence. He was still raging from the discovery earlier, but he was strangely okay. Walking to the bar, he placed a five dollar bill onto the dark granite surface “Jim Beam. Neat.” He asked coolly.
Caius smirked “You sure you can handle that, Matt?” He asked with a dark laugh as he wipped the bottle around, pouring the man a shot and sliding it over.
Matt flared to Caius “After my night, this is the least of my worries, man..” he replied as he took a sip of the booze.
Freddy got out of the Uber, rushing a puns to open the door for his girl. He wore khakis and a black t-shirt with sneakers. His hair was slightly gelled on the top as he smiled to the woman he was falling for. As he pulled the lever to the door, he looked to Relina, still having trouble hiding his blush. “Welcome to Aces, Relina. Sounds like things are just getting started.” He said softly as he held out his hand to her.
Bran smiled to Serina as he set their coats onto the rack "Well, I'm going to grab a beer, you want anything? Something with rum in it?" he asked sweetly.
As the time passed, more people came into the club. It started to get busier, which was good. It would be a good, exciting night.
Gabriella simply waved at matt and nodded "Well I'll just keep with Soda. I think we'll be getting into enough trouble..." Gabriella said with a laugh to them not caring what Matt would think of her hanging out with the twins. She wondered if Matt would talk to her though as even though they hadn't known each other long there was something in his eyes that said there was something wrong especially as he was drinking. Even with what she was doing it worried her and inwardly sighed. She wondered what that might be. She would try to get him alone later to talk at least. This night was for fun and fun only...
Serina nodded "if they have it coconut rum and pineapple juice my love." She looked around at everyone and looked toward the piano again. She also waved to Skye with a smile as well. She had no idea what to say to everyone here. This was her first time here and knowing this was a mutant only bar she knew if it was known she was here the news would be all over it. It looked to be private enough and was glad of that. She sat down at the bar with Bran waiting on her drink. This is a nice place. I'm glad I got to come here at least once. Hopefully I'll get to come back on my visits once in while...definalty different than what I expected for a bar"
Andrew smirked as Wanda just sighed with a little head shake. He noticed a few others came into the bar as things got a little crowded. One way or another, he was going to get lucky. He chuckled at the soda comment. He could help Theresa do that easily. She might be a fairly cheap date. It would be good since if his brother mentioned money one more time, he was going to punch him. There was still plenty of time to get everything they needed.
"Well I will buy your next soda. Just let me know if you want anything stronger. I can get that for you as well. With this many people, it would not be that hard."
Wanda rolled her eyes, "Not everyone wants to get into trouble like you. And I'm good. If I have anything, it will be coffee. I need all my brain cells for later."
Andrew raised an eyebrow, "Later? I highly doubt that one drink would kill brain cells. I just want to make sure everyone is going to have fun."
The dark haired girl shrugged as she replied coldly, "I do have things to finish after this. And on some level, I am having fun."
"Okay, whatever you say. Well, Theresa, don't go too far while I grab a beer. I can't let you wonder off with so many hungry men about." Andrew gave her a tiny wink as he headed for the bar. He put down his money as he called out, "Sam Adams".
Wanda sighed as Andrew was something else. She crossed her arms over her chest as her eyes darted around. There were a lot more people here than she was expecting. She did not want any of them too close to her. She pushed her anxiety down as she focused on the other member of her group. She had no idea what to say as small talk was so not her thing.
Aaron liked the guy Todd and really wanted to help him but the man needed to eliminate some of his bad habits before women took him seriously and that would take work and reinforcement of those things he would teach him. He smiled at the guy as he repeated back to him what he had said and then nodded. He knew he would be ok if he just used some of it.
"Thats right just don't take it to far. If you do you will know and the woman will walk away. That is all."
When Todd said he wanted a drink and asked if he wanted anything he nodded to the man and pulled out a couple of twenties. Andrew and him had been lucky the last few days and it showed from the money they had to spend. He handed them to Todd and nodded. The man had a great idea about what they were here to do tonight.
"I wouldn't mind a nice beer, a stout or whatever passes for one here, and some bourbon. You know just for variety and remember don't get to drunk or you will find yourself at a disadvantage. I'll be right here."
He looked at the door again as someone new entered, a large man and a tiny little red head on his arm, well she was good looking but he doubted the large man would leave her alone for very long. Well if he did he would demonstrate to Todd how to get a woman's attention.

Relina smiled at Fred when he summoned the Uber for them and then as they rode he seemed a bit nervous about going out with her in public. She hoped he wasn't nervous because that wouldn't do at all. He was a sweet and kind man. A gentleman in her opinion and that meant only one thing. He should be happy and she would do as much as she could to help with his happiness. She liked how he was wearing his hair and resisted her urge to muss his hair. He was very handsome.
"This place looks great! I appreciate you bringing me here and sharing it with me. I have to say this has been a very busy day for us. I only see them getting busier and us having lulls in there. Please show me around introduce me to your friends. I want to get to know everyone. After all they are part of you life. Let's go in."
~*~
Jeff didn't mind going out with people when it was a good place and he knew a few people there. Ace O' Trades though rated somewhere on his list of burn down and shot some people in it because of how he viewed places. Although with Skye being employed there and considering he was one of the few humans who were actually allowed inside he didn't mind it so much. He actually preferred to drink alone and just pass out on the floor or couch. It was just his way and being alone was something he had grown used to after Skye had left.
"This place looks different at night. I almost didn't recognize it. Plus the bouncer was a little to liberal with his frisking of me. He thought I would actually carry a weapon in here. Well I might but that is not the mood tonight."
He had noticed Skye had grabbed her instrument and remembered her mentioning that she was going to perform tonight. He had always wondered how she sounded when she played and he was going to find out tonight.
"So what are you guys playing tonight? Cover songs or your own music?"
He looked at John and then Skye. Matt had taken off ahead of them into the bar. He couldn't blame him after all he had just found out that what he had been told growing up was basically a lie and his real father had been banished out of his life. That the man who said he was his father wasn't him. It was a whole lot and well he needed to talk to him but right now he would let him be. He did of course decide to get a drink and well see what kind of show they were going to put on.
"If you need me I'll be getting drinks. Who wants what?"
Todd nodded quickly, taking the money into his palm "Yo, thanks man!" he replied as she scampered toward the bar. Placing the money in front of Caius, he ordered a couple of beers and some bourbon. Looking to Logan, he made sure to stay clear of the man. He wasn't afraid of many people, but the Wolverine was one of 'em. He then heard the door open and turned his head.
His. Jaw. Dropped.
"What the in hell?!" he exclaimed out loud, seeing Freddy walk in with a very small framed, beautiful redhead. Wait...he knew her. Her name was..Relina. She had just joined the team. What in the hell was she doing hanging on Fred's arm? With a slow gulp, he grabbed the drinks onto a tray and walked back over to Aaron "Dude, if Fred can get someone like THAT, I've got some hopes..." he snickered.
~*~*~*~
"It's my pleasure, Relina. I'm just happy you're here with me. We're going to have an awesome time." he replied in a sweet whisper as he leaned down to kiss her forehead. "I'm going to get a beer, what would you like?" he asked softly as his hand trailed down to the small of her back. As she asked to meet his friends, he simply smiled. "Well, it looks like they're all crowding over that table." he said as he pointed over to the Andrew, Aaron, Gabs, Wanda and Todd.
~*~*~*~
Skye looked to Jeff and smiled. Hopping off the stage, her stiletto boots clicked as she walked over "A mix tonight. Some covers and a few originals. I've got an original that I'm closing with." she smiled "First is the Highway Tune by Greta Van Fleet. I'm excited to sing it. We've practiced for weeks on it." she beamed "And I'm not drinking before the show, but if you could monitor Matt, I would really appreciate it. I'm worried about him."
Matt sipped his beer as he walked over to his sister "Matt is just fine. I don't need a babysitter." he grumbled as he passed them to walk by Aaron "Hey." he said darkly, setting his bottle onto the table.
Skye looked to Freddy and Relina as they approached the table. "Wow..." she smiled in surprise as the couple had certainly gotten closer in the last day or two. She pondered for a moment. "Y'know, good for him. He's got a sweet personality, is the least selfish person I know and yet he gets a lot of shit. Good for him for meeting someone." she smiled as she adjusted the laced strings of her boots. "Well, I've gotta help quick behind the bar... behave." she winked playfully Jeff.
~*~*~*~
Cate looked to Bran as he appeared out of the crowd and smiled. Sipping her martini, she looked to the others as they gathered amongst themselves. Bran ordered the drinks and made his way back to Serina "Here are you, love." he smiled sweetly.
Cate decided to grab a seat at the bar, as Euan had decided to stay at the mansion. With a soft sigh, she began to think about him. He was going through something and it worried her. He had been so different since Excalibur had arrived and she didn't understand why really. It wasn't like he was talking to her anyway. Shaking her head, she took another tip, feeling the alcohol take effect.
Logan wasn't one to turn down a pretty woman and her wanting a few drinks with him wasn't so bad. Cate was saying nice things about him which was a turn because he had been hard on her and Serina when they grew up in the house. He looked at her as she gave a toast and nodded to her downing his without skipping a beat.
"Not a bad one but let's try something with a bit of a burn. You know vodka and tequillia are all well and good. It also makes swapping stories a good time as well. I bet after a few of them we can get Cate to tell us some about growing up in the house with me being a pain in her ass."
He looked at Caius and noticed that he had company to help him now. That was nice but Caius could keep them in drinks. After all that was the man who started serving him and he could continue he hoped.
"Alright let's have a double of whiskey and then she may ask me to tell her a story or Cate can prompt me to tell a story."
He laughed as he turned slightly to take Angie in and wasn't disappointed. She was blonde, a bit slim, but had an open face that looked like it smiled a lot, and most of all she seemed very sweet.
Aaron was not impressed with the way Todd was ogling the woman that a person he had never met brought in with him. He poked Todd and shook his head at him. He didn't need to dwell on that and smiled at him.
"Todd don't dwell on what others have, you are looking for your own. So focus. We have a goal here tonight and tomorrow I take you for a new wardrobe of your choosing and a haircut. Now lets have a drink, meet some women, and see if I can warm up a witch."
He pulled his beer and bourbon to him as he swirled the bourbon and took a sip. He loved the burn of it and it made the world start to melt away just a bit. When the others started to crowd his table he just let it slide. They were on a solo mission but having cover never hurt them. When Matt wandered over he just nodded to the guy.
"You look to be in a rather dour mood."
~*~
Relina smiled as he Fred poured on that charm that wasn't fake but just an integral part of what made him Fred and more than just another guy. It made him appealing and sexy as far as she was concerned. She didn't disagree about the having an awesome time. They were going to have one after the bar tonight.
"Oh drinks, well I would like a shot of Patron and whatever stout they have on tap, it will most likely be Guinness, so that will work. Plus I think that we deserve a drink tonight as tomorrow will most likely be us waking up to a few more item I need to take care of before I get to work. I have several designs that have been sent to me to be improved and have to work on them. Let's have some fun."
She let him steer her toward a table that he said they would be crowding to and that is when she noticed a few new faces. Well those twins were brand new she hadn't met them earlier in the day. She was sure that women found their looks disarming. She could smell trouble on them. They were easily trouble and she wouldn't be surprised if they caused some tonight.
"Who are the new guys? They weren't there earlier in the day."
~*~
Jeff looked at Skye as she pointed out that Matt needed a someone to watch him considering all that was going on tonight and he shook his head. Matt needed to deal with the shit he had just had unloaded on him and then come to terms with it. He had spent the better part of two decades wondering if he was ever going to tell Matt and well he had and he felt better, not by much, but better for telling him the truth. He liked music and when Skye said they were going to some originals he nodded and smiled at her.
"Well I look forward to it. I can't wait to see what is going to dazzle the crowd. I mean after all that is why you picked up the guitar right?"
As if mentioning his name caused him appear Matt came over and started in with he didn't need a babysitter. He agreed. He wouldn't but he wouldn't let the boy be an ass and act as such. He might have been off in foreign lands at Matt's age but that didn't mean he would give the guy shit. Just advice.
"Matt I'm not going to babysit you at all. You can go get drunk, even if you are underaged, and act foolish. That's your choice. Who would I be to say different other than someone who thinks your better than that. Just do as you must, just remember tomorrow is the worst time to have regrets."
That was all he was going to say. It may not be what he was thinking would have been said but then again Jeff had seen some of the world. Skye said she was going to help behind the bar. That worked and he headed that way with her.
"Well you can at least set me up with two beers and two doubles."
~*~
Creed was bored and wanted to hear this band that Skye went on about, well she was in the Brotherhood and he might as well support her. It wasn't s stretch either because he wanted a drink and well Ace's was one of the few places friendly to him still. That and the animal shelter he went to to see the dogs and other animals there. That he didn't tell anyone about. He was just having a good day that was all. He came in and that is when he smelled him before he saw him. Logan was here but he would do his best to avoid the runt. He scanned the place and noticed everyone else was at a table, well group of tables, and he would go get them all shots and then join them. He headed to the bar to get the shots.

(Page 3 from old Board)
Angie threw back her shot after he nodded her head. It was a tiny thing that she had learned whenever her family had gotten together. The last time was right before she went off to med school. Her family was proud of her wanting to be a doctor to help others in a similar situation as her father.
She pushed her glass towards the bar as she looked at the grizzled man. If anything, the night would prove to be rather interesting. She would not mind telling a few stories that might shock others at what she had seen. It was all apart of her profession.
"So things have just loosened up a bit, huh?" She smiled as she laughed slightly. She heard what was ordered next, thinking that she might need to ease off a little bit later.
"Looking forward to hearing how hard you vorked Cate." She turned attention slightly to Cate, "Care to relive the first time you met the old dog?"
Skye gave a smirk and hopped behind the bar to take care of a few patrons. She grabbed Jeff's request and walked back over to the table, giving a frown to her brother "Let me know when you'll need a ride home." she sighed as she placed the beverages on the table and looked to Jeff "I picked up the guitar as a way to take out my agression in a constructive way. It was therapeutic and I was good at it." she smiled as she looked to see Sabertooth walking in. "Oh boy..." she sighed. The man was her trainer, and hopefully he wouldn't cause another fight like he did at the house.
"Hey furball, what'll ya have?" she yelled across the the crowded room.
Matt scoffed, drinking from his beer as he looked around the bar "I'll be fine. A little buzz and I'll be back to happy Matty...'cause that's what you all want, right?" he replied, shaking his head.
Catelyn smiled to Angie as she sipped from her glass "Well, it's an interesting story." she winked to Logan "I taught him how to ice skate." she laughed as she thought best how to word the story.
Fred half smiled down to Relina "Well, those are Pietro's friends. They've been hanging around the house more lately. One of them has had a thing for Wanda for a bit, which ticks Todd off. It's really funny, actually." he laughed as they approached the table "Guys, you remember Relina, right?" he asked right as Todd was trying not to stare at the redhead. "My GIRLFRIEND." Fred remarked, giving Todd such a glare that it could kill.
Todd gulped "Hey man...no...no problem, heh. Nice to see ya, Relina." he replied nervously before looking to Aaron and Andrew. Drinking from his beer, he sighed. He had to remain cool. Act uninterested. Yea...he'll try that.
Bran looked to the Brotherhood and simply sighed "I'm just not used to being out in a bar like this. I'm assuming the show will start soon?" he asked softly to Serina. "I guess I'm trying not to be judgmental, which is hard being here. I'm realizing how lucky we were to be at the mansion all this time. Those kids in the brotherhood...they have way less."
Jeff looked at Matt as he said he would be back to happy Matty. Well that was a lie about being a happy guy. He had just had a bomb dropped on him and pretending to be happy wouldn't fool anyone. He waited until Matt was seated and looked at the young man. He had grown up strong it appeared and decided to share a little something with him.
"You know Matt pretending at something you aren't isn't going to help improve your mood. If you want to drink then let's drink even though you're underage. We can do this. Just don't drink to to improve your mood."
Jeff smile at Skye when she said why she took up the guitar. It was a rather happy past time to take up. He didn't have any objections to not destroying things but he was kind of hurt she had not used her demolitions training for this purpose but a guitar was a better secondary pursuit.
"Well it beats what I taught you to do with explosives. That has its place and time I suppose."
Sabertooth lumbered over and took a seat right next to Jeff, the chair creaked under his weight, and he gave a snort at Jeff.
"He bothering you kid?"
He posed the question to Matt and when Skye yelled to him he turned and held up two fingers.
"A porter and a scotch!"
He yelled back to her and settled himself in his seat as he looked at Jeff wondering why a human was in here. He supposed that cajun had gone soft. He decided to ask for himself.
"So Matt what are you doing with this little man here?"
Jeff just took a drink off his beer as he looked at Sabertooth. He had a real name...what was it he read in the bounty reports....ah yes Victor Creed. He had to think to himself about why that name meant something to him. He wasn't sure but that nutjob Graydon Creed couldn't be his son....could he? He was here to have fun and not think about work.
Relina couldn't help but smile at the short flash of jealousy she felt come off Fred at the stares that the man named Todd was giving her. She reached out and booped Todd's nose and winked.
"Yes darling his girlfriend. Friends of Pietro are surely friends of ours? I have no doubts that they will be as accepting of things as anyone else."
She glanced at the tables around the room and noted that the rude hairy man was here. He may be a bit less rude once he settled down.
"Fred that rude hairy man is here. I didn't catch his name earlier but he seems to be calm right now."
Aaron looked at Todd and shook his head. That girl seemed to suit the man she was with. That was good. Todd though needed to pick someone else to try it on. He didn't see very good pickings. He would wait and then steer Todd in the right direction.
"Take your time Todd. The right one will appear or come in."
Logan gave a sniff and ignored the fact that Creed had entered. That was another time and another place. He did however wish to see what Cate had to say about him and as usually it didn't disappoint. Yes she had manifested her powers when he was riding her ass and sure he skittered about the floor but hey kids needed to know what they could do before doing it.
"Yeah she wasn't as bad as she thinks she was and well with perspective you can learn just about anything. Even this old dog."
He looked in Angie's direction and cracked a smile at her. He was glad that they didn't let their new arrivals out for the night. After what he had seen from that one's camera it was good.
"Hey Cate where is your man that you usually wear the smell of?"
It took a few minutes before Andrew received his beer. He took a drink of the amber liquid which made him rather happy. Whatever tension was in his shoulders seemed to have disappeared as the on edge feeling left. He could only guess that it came from his twin. That boy needed to get laid or at least no worry as much as he has been. They always make ends meet one way or another. He knew that it was going to happen as they had a few places that usually produced well. He might hit up the square a little later....
He pushed those thoughts out of his head as focused on Theresa as he might have a fair chance or so he got a little vibe from her. He had to admit that it had been fun getting to know her a little more. He could easily split his time at the brotherhood and the Lair of Nightmares. Larissa ran a tight gang of misfits plus she was super tight with Aaron.
His jaw nearly dropped with he noticed Relina as she was gorgeous. Slightly sad that she looked to be taken. He took his spot back as he noticed how on edge Wanda still was. He heard the tail end of what Aaron had said to Todd. He was curious to see how this advice was going to play out. He might be able to spot one or two woman that Todd could go after.
"Anyone ever hear the band that looks to be playing here tonight? I get the feeling lots are here for the actual fight." Andrew figured a topic for all to join in might be handy.
Wanda gave a half smile to both Relina and Fred. It seemed as if their group kept growing in different directions. It made her question for a moment what it would end up meaning if her father ever made it back into town. She shivered a little as a strange feeling went down her spine.
She looked over to see Creed had made it as well. Was the man here for a night out or to keep an eye on them? He was a lackey of her father's. She gave a brief shake of her head. She was being paranoid with all of this.
She heard the question from Andrew. She heard them a few times as her brother dragged her out of her room. He often told her to see the sunlight on occasion. "They are decent. Sky will sometimes practice at the house."
Angie looked at Cate as she mentioned that Logan was taught how to ice skate. She glanced at up and down at the man, trying to picture it. She unsure if she could. He seemed almost like a man's man by the look of things. Then again most would not peg her to dead lift people twice her size.
She smiled as she took another sip. "I am all ears for this story. I find it hard to think of you two on the ice."
Gabriella sighed but nodded at Matt taking a drink, but his face said something happened or there was something bothering him. She went over to him and put a a hand on his shoulder "Talk later I take it?" She said and walked away to let him be with a nod.
She went over to Andrew and smirked as he looked at her. It seemed maybe there could be a bond forming...maybe. He did seem to enjoy her company.perhaps soon if they were staying she would tell him her real name. After all she realized with her teamates maybe opening up might be a good thing at this point. They were certainly being more understanding than she would have ever imagined. She went over to Andrew and held out her hand hearing music in order to hint for a dance...
"Thank you love..." Serina said Drinking and taking in the place...there was music but perhaps she could still play that piano sitting in the corner. It was tempting as she hardly ever had a chance to show that she had those skills in the first place. Not that she was a show off but...even in public there was something about the feeling of her hands on the ivory that was comforting beyond words. She walked over to Skye talking to a man and who she recognized as Matt. She didn't know what was going on but something seemed to be. She looked to Bran with a smile " Tonight has been amazing...I really have missed this place. Maybe it's that here with these people...brotherhood or xmen...they don't give a piss shit that I'm a duchess you know?" It's nice...
Cate shrugged as she sipped her cocktail "I honestly have no idea. He's been super standoffish the last few days, like not even opening up to me." she sighed with frustration. She pushed the thought to the back of her mind as she tried to remember how she and Logan met. "I met Logan when I wandering the halls by myself. It was maybe the third day at the professor's and I was completely alone. And I felt alone." she shook her head as she swirled her drinking glass "He'd just gotten back from stealing Scott's bike again and.." she laughed "He goes 'Hey, blondie, you've been mopin' around since you got here, what gives?'" she grinned to beastly man. "I was pretty cold to him, not knowing who he was or anything. But, he knocked me out of my funk and lit my spirit back up. He's never been a bullshitter!" she giggled as she finished off her cocktail. "And after a few falls and stumbles, old man Logan here is actually pretty decent on the ice." she winked playfully.
Matt shrugged his shoulders before walking off, finding one of the old bartenders just finishing her shift. Looking away quickly to Gabs, he shook his head. The girl had eyes for Andrew "Well, Matty," he spoke to himself as he took a swing from his beer "another one bites the dust." he rolled his eyes as he made his way toward the bartender.
Skye grabbed a few customers as she began helping behind the bar. Noticing a fight about to break out, she shook her head "HEY! NOT HERE, ASSHOLES!" she yelled at the top of her lungs. Realizing all too quickly that the drunken men were no where near stopping, she jumped over the bar. "STOP!" she yelled once more as she grabbed one of the brawler's hands. The man shot her a dirty look, twisting his hand quickly and flinging the woman onto the floor. With a yelp of pain, Skye closed her eyes as she gritted her teeth. "Fucker..." she growled as she used her powers to separate the two. Staggering to her feet, she tried to wiggle her fingers, but the pain was just too intense. Her hand was broken. Her guitar hand...was broken. Her heart began to race as she felt more pain, and now realizing that she couldn't play. They had scouts there tonight. They had record labels here...what the hell was she going to do?!
Todd half smiled in disappointment, but nodded "You're right, man. "'Bout time Fred got himself a woman." he sighed deeply as Fred looked over.
The blonde man smiled warmly to his girlfriend, leaning down to kiss her hair "Yeah...I'd avoid him for now...once he starts drinking, there's no telling what crap he'll get himself into." he rolled his eyes "The band is good; I've heard them play before. Hard rock."
Her heart began to race as she approached the table with the Brotherhood members. She sucked up her sniffles as she tried not to cry. “I’m pretty sure my god damned hand is broken, thanks to the jackass that started a fight. My band is on in twenty minutes. I can’t play. I don’t know what to do. I’m freaking out.” She spoke quickly as she breathed in and out.
Fred’s eyes grew wide as his cheeks flushed red. Putting a hand onto Relina’s shoulder as he gently patted “Re...you were amazing this morning. On your guitar, I mean...maybe you could help?”
Andrew nodded his head as he heard the answers to his question. It would seem as if he blinked once and Thesea was off and then back again. A large goofy smile shown as she held out her hand. He did not mind when others took the lead every so often. His calloused hand took hers as he pulled himself to her side again. There was a fair beat to the music as he wrapped an arm around her. There were unspoken words as he took them to the small area for dancing. His feet knew enough not to make a total ass of himself.
"We can enter now or wait until the next one starts? I can match almost any style you are going to choose."
Wanda looked over as Skye started to freak out just a bit. She understood completely as she would be lost without her dominant hand. She would castrate whoever did it. Most likely with a smile on her face. An eye for an eye. She looked over as Fred's face grew red. It would be a turn of events if Relina took over temporarily. She could not recall off the top of her head if she heard the other girl play. It was almost like they all had some level of talent. She gave a chuckle that she could barely hear as she waited for the answer.
Angie smiled gently as Cate told the story of Logan. She could tell that there was a level of admiration. She might have tried ice skating a few times as it was rather close to ballet. She never was big on getting lots of speed for all the jumping that needed to happen. She had a few childhood friends that often did both sports. She never minded being able to help them when it came to dance recitals.
"Vhat is life with out a few ups and downs before standing on our own two feet. It has been many years since I did any sort of ice skating. It shows how he broke ya out of the funk. Possibly new to the school when you first met him?" She asked as she took another sip of her drink.
A small slip of paper was passed to Aaron as the delivery person slipped away unnoticed. A familiar symbol could be seen on the back of it. A lavender haired woman glided into the crowded bar. One of her stalkers was itching to get in the ring tonight as she was needed a night out. It only made things better as one of her favorites was here. She left her calling card as she headed to grab a drink, he would be over soon enough.
Relina almost felt her breath catch at the fact that Fred was being cheeky and she smiled at him knowingly with a retort coming out.
"Oh so you are a man who kisses and tells are you Fred?"
When he mentioned her playing all the color left her face leaving he looking like a porcelain doll which had the added effect because of the way her red hair framed her face. She looked at Fred for a moment not blinking and the world standing still and then suddenly coming back with full effect. She felt that trickle of fear and a little sweat break out on her brow. She grabbed the nearest drink and downed not concerned with who it belonged to and then looked at Skye. She blinked again more than was normal and felt the pressure of being put on the spot like that. Then finally she found her voice.
"Sure....I'll help...I mean I only play for fun."
She couldn't believe she said that and took Fred's large hand and gave it squeeze. She was not happy about this but she wanted to help out one of Fred's friends.
-*-
Aaron couldn't believe a lot of things and that being that a guy like Todd was totally inept. Well he had seen it and now he had made it his mission to ensure that that Todd had at least rudimentary skills at conversing with women and that meant a little bit of work on his part. He didn't mind it though as it was fun to help someone. He usually wouldn't have cared but after witnessing how he was treated at the house by everyone it meant he was going to make this guy at least a bit normal. That meant work and something he was accustom to while his brother thought everything else was either a joke or fun. That was the frustrating part of his days usually. His brother. It was like thinking of him almost made him get up and doing something. He nudged Todd about the young woman and mouthed the words 'jail bait' as his brother took her to dance.
"You see that everything isn't as it should be. Fred has a woman and now let's make it so you have one. I mean at least can get one."
He gave Todd an encouraging pat on his back and as he drew his hand back he had a slip of paper pressed into his hand. He didn't catch the face of the person but that didn't matter the place was crowded. He opened the paper and stared at the single black crescent moon. He wondered what she wanted at this time of night. Well it most likely equated to boosting a car so she could strip and sell the parts for money or helping chase a flat scan gang off her territory. Either way she was going to come visiting. He didn't a visit from her. It usually was fun in more ways than he could count.
"Todd someone is going to come and visit with me. Please don't interrupt her or try anything I've shown you on her. I don't want you hurt. She is serious and means business."
-*-
Jeff watched as the Matt got up and left. He stood and was pulled back down by Sabertooth. He turned a withering glance on the man who had at least a hundred pounds on him and other advantages. He waited before opening up the topic of don't touch me unless you wish to pull back a bloody stump.
Sabertooth waited to see if the man was going to react to him and when he didn't get that reaction he spoke up.
"Why don't you leave the kid alone. It seems you upset him."
Oh this was advice from a guy like Creed. Well that was going to get tossed in the ditch.
"How about I see what's bothering him and you sit here and drink."
Sabertooth didn't like that because while he was willing let lecherous cajun let who he wished into his bar he wasn't going to take shit from a human and that is all this guy happened to be, a human. He stood up and when he did Jeff stayed seated as he leaned over to get in his face.
"Maybe a human shouldn't meddle in the affairs of a mutant. I'm just saying it usually ends badly for ya and your kind."
Jeff nodded slowly as if digesting the fact that Creed has spoken at all. He stayed seated with his hands on the table.
"Maybe an idiot shouldn't be giving advice when he doesn't know the entire situation. It could end badly for you."
He was trying bait Creed so he could just shoot the man but it seemed that Creed was going to be calm. That was too bad. He waited as he watched Sabertooth slam his hand on the table. It caused the table to shudder and all the glasses to shimmy.
"I should gut you where you sit and then take the rest of it to the garbage. What makes you think you know the entire situation?"
Sabertooth waited for the answer. It would be good.
"First of all Creed, as I refuse to call you by the stupid name of Sabertooth, it is a personal affair and really none of your business. It is apparent that since you aren't going to leave it be I might as well tell you it is a personal matter."
Sabertooth cut him off with a growl.
"Oh my name is stupid?!? You have some stones on you. What makes you such on an expert on names?"
Jeff decided to ignore him like he deserved and pushed to the point.
"You know you're the last guy I would take parenting advice from. Now if you don't mind I'm going to see what is bothering him besides that stuff he just found out. Now move or be stunned. I don't have the time for you to be protective right now."
Sabertooth felt the gut check of the slam from the man. He more than he let on. He knew about his son and what a disgrace his son was and now he could either gut him or move out of his way. He didn't want to cause a scene but could catch up with the man later.
"Look Creed if shit goes south I'll be back to drown my sorrows. Now if you will excuse me."
He moved through the crowd easily enough and caught up with Matt. He understood and well could sympathize with the kid but he wasn't going to let him just walk off and be angry.
"Matt get two and let's talk. Out back?"
Logan didn't really want to embarrass Cate so he gave a little laugh and drank some of his beer. It was nice to hear stories about how other viewed him. He always thought he was a bit hard on the kids at the school but then again sometimes they needed that. Serina though was different to him. She was like the daughter he would never have and that meant something that she was including him in her wedding. He supposed that meant he had to shave and wear something nice.
"It's not life at all if you ask me. It is something else. You have to learn to walk before you can run as its said."
He was mid sip when Angie asked if Cate was new to school. He had seen several classes come through there. Cate and Serina being two of the best in his opinion. Bobby or Iceman as he was known being one of the worst because that boy always seemed to cause trouble, find trouble, or be in trouble. Well that was what school was for he reckoned. Nothing more or nothing less. School was for learning and having fun, but most causing trouble.
"I guess you can't attend a school without having your own brand of fun or causing trouble. It is just life I suppose."
Fathom walked into the bar, her arms folded as her eyes adjusted to the neon lighting above. Looking behind her, she smiled to Rhona and Alison. “So, this is my first time in a bar. I’ve also never had alcohol before, so I’m not even sure what I’d like.” She sighed as she walked past the table of the brotherhood members. Running a hand through her long brunette hair, she looked to her options. Her seagreen eyes squinted, looking to all the flavors. Peering at the drink menu, she half smiled “Uh...can I get a Mojito, please?”
Rhona walked through the snow like it didn't bother her and followed Fathom into the bar. She was first hit by all the noise and then all the smells of the bar. She was surprised by how low the light was in a place of business. She didn't know if the local laws allowed such places to be operated. The man at the door seemed to eye her like she was something he was considering eating and she gave him a look back as she walked by him. The next thing she saw was small terminal and that intrigued her as she walked over and examined it. The big ATM sign didn't mean a thing to her as she touched and it suddenly spit out some green paper. She walked over to where Fathom was sitting and placed the stack of green paper near her.
"I believe we need the currency to purchase items here at this place."
She looked at everything and the smells that is what got her. It smelled so foreign but also very delicious and sour at the same time. She scanned the place again and noticed that out of everyone there who seemed involved in some sort of social behavior but one. He seemed to be minding his own beverage and that said something to Rhona. What that was she had no idea. He was shorter than his companions and seemed engaged in...well she didn't know but all that mattered was he wasn't trying to get the attention of anyone.
"It appears this place is one you come to to when you wish to socialize with either sex and perhaps wish to gather intel on their behaviors and thoughts. Odd I don't ever remember coming to any place like this before."
When Fathom ordered she noted the bottles behind the bar and wanted something out of them.
"What are in those bottles? I want either the clear one or one of the brown ones. They appeal to me and I would also like some of the yellow liquid and something to eat as I'm hungry again."
She looked back over at the man again and examined his features. He was appealing to her and wondered why he didn't have either a man or woman with him. It was obvious the way the other man interacted with him wasn't with him in any other way than a friend would be. Hmmmmm...maybe talking to him was the way to understanding him and getting him to talk to her.
Gabreilla continued to dance with Andrew and was laughing. She knew it was a good time to just let Matt be alone. She knew he'd talk to her later but right now wasn't the time or place. "I'm glad I met you Andrew...I actually do hope you and your brother stay a while. " She smiled warmly continuing to dance "So Andrew...other than being mischievous what else do you like to do?" she asked with a chuckle putting a hand through her blonde hair. She observed everyone else but to her at least nothing else seemed to stand out. She knew all the brotherhood people and would probably talk to those people later. She would talk to Skye especilly after all was said and done.
Pyro came into the bar. He went over to Matt and raised an eyebrow "I understand why you need that drink but kid...take my word for it. Don't go off the deep end over this. You have people in your corner now. Look around you." He put a hand on Matt's shoulder and then went over to Skye "Hey Love...can I get a rum and coke?"" He gave a wink to Skye and sat down
Serina took Bran for the dance and said "This night was a lot different than expected...but I'm glad. I think after everything we've been through and going to go though we need moments like this" She smiled while she danced. It had a been a while since she relaxed and was glad Lee was being watched at the mansion so even that she could have a night out with Bran, one that didn't involve people following her. She looked around and noticed that at least here it didn't seem to matter. Brotherhood or Xmen it didn't lead to fighting. Who knew what tomorrow would bring but at least at the moment nothing was happening.

(Page 4 from old Board)
As the bar became busier, 2 men carrying guitar cases stepped onto the stage. The drummer sat down, placing the cymbals onto their respective holders.
Skye wiped a final tear from her cheek as she had her hand placed in a makeshift cast. Breathing in deeply, she looked to Relina “Well, if you’re game for this, you’ll be my only hope. Do you know Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, Zeppelin, or Halestorm? We can just do some covers. I have a song at the end, but that’s on piano. If you help me, I’ll in your debt forever. It’s a big night for us.” She sighed heavily, trying not to cry again.
Caius looked to Pyro and laughed “Aww, callin’ me love is so sweet, man, but I’m afraid I don’t swing that way, or play with matches. England is over there. Broke her hand a few minutes ago.” He remarked as he poured a variety of drinks and sliding one over to him.
Cate giggled “Yeah, I was new. This whole place was new. He and Serina made it home, though.” She smiledsweetly as she hopped off the stool. Logan seemed to have eyes for this girl and she wanted to give them a little privacy “Speak of the devil, I see Serina now. You two have fun...” she said giving a drunken wink.
Todd sighed heavily, but nodded “No problem. I’ll just sit he...” his voice cut off as three new women strolled into the bar. There was a redhead, a beautiful and statuesque redhead. Her facial expressions seemed to be hot and cold as she sauntered in. He tried to make himself stop staring, but she was just that beautiful. And... was she looking at him?! He swore she looked at him. “I....uh...” his heart began to race.
Fathom looked to the pile of money that Rhona put down “WHERE....did you get all that money?!” She whispered quickly “Are some sort of executive or somthing?! You surprise me every minute!” She smiled as she handed over her cocktail “Taste this and see if you like it.” She winked before looking around the bar.
Free put a hand on Relina’s shoulder, trying to comfort her nerves “Relina, you can do this. You’re amazing...and if it doesn’t work, just walk away.” He shrugged with a goofy grin.
Matt closed his eyes, but obliged Jeff’s request. “Fine...if it means you guys will leave me alone after.” He replied sharply as he ran both hands into his hair.
Bran wrapped his arms around Serina, dancing to the faint beat of the music from the jukebox “It is a great night, and it’s not even over yet. Let’s make it last, because that mission right around the corner. I want to cherish as much time together before everything gets crazy...”
Iseabal had followed the others into the bar. She had no real idea as to what to do. The few times she had been on earth she had been in bars but she does not remember. For her this was all new. It had not taken long for her to lose sight of every one, so she moved to a corner table by the stage and sat down. The waitress came by and she ordered water which the waitress shook her head slightly at and smiled as she left to go get it.
Cyn had not wanted to go but went anyway. She was usually more out going but just felt a bit down. Once in the bar she wandered around just kinda listening yet not to conversations. She stopped in front of the stage when what she perceived was the band getting ready. She loved music do she figured this was as good a place as any to listen. A waitress stopped and asked her what she wanted, "Double Johnny Walker Black neat." she replied. She laughed when she was carded.
Lawrence had gone with Cyn to the bar but he was one year too young to drink, so he just had soda at least for now. He went over to Cyn and took her hand for a dance. The jukebox was nice and the music was good. He smiled and looked around the bar "Heh. who knew. a bar for people like us.. a place no one has to pretend to be anything but what they are and no one to judge." He kissed her on the forehead and hugged her close for a moment. He could help but smile at her. It was nice to see that she could be at east and have people around that might make her know how amazing she really was. He then saw Gabriella and sighed "Excuse me a moment..." He went over to his sister who was dancing...with...a...guy. Seriously she just came back into his life and he felt he might need to put a leash on her or maybe a chastity belt. "Okay...sis...what are you doing here?" He looked to the man she was dancing with "And...who are you?"
Pyro looked to Caius and rolled his eyes "Oh it's you..." Then he heard Skye got hurt and ran over "Okay...who did this?" he snarled when he got over to her. He was really upset he was late now and he bent over to help her and keep her hand steady "And why isn't someone getting you to a hospital? NOt that I'm a big fan either but it's better than being permanently injured.
Cyn had turned to look at Lawrence when he took her hand to dance. She loved to dance. As they danced he looked around the bar and commented on the fact that they could be themselves. When he pulled her close kissed her forehead and hugged her she smiled. "It is nice to be able to be myself outside of the mansion and the hotel rooms I had stayed in."
Cyn followed him over to where his sister was. She understood that we wanted to make sure that she was ok but being an older brother was more than just protecting her. She placed her hand in Lawrence arm and smiled. "Hi Gabriella, (pause to look at the guy she is dancing with), Hello. I am Cyn, it is nice to meet you." She extended her hand.
Rhona looked over at Fathom and tilted her head in curiosity at the question. Executive? Where did she get the money? Those were questions she didn't know the answer to other than the money question. The machine in the corner had given her the money and it seemed to be able to give her the money after she touched it.
"The machine in the corner gave it me after I touched it. I am not this executive that you speak of. I am just Rhona."
Rhona took the offered drink and drained half of it for her trying it out. She liked it. She wanted something else though and noticed that the man behind the bar was conversing with another man. She raised her hand to get his attention and when he immediately didn't respond she whistled very loudly. Once she was sure she had his attention she spoke.
"You pale man...I would like a drink. The brown liquid, the clear liquid in the bottles, and the yellow foamy liquid that others are having. That is all."
Her manners could have used some working on and when she looked at Fathom and she nodded.
"I would also like two of these things as I have drank half of hers."
She looked at Fathom and nodded.
"I believe that is how you get the attention of people. Yes?"
-*-
Logan was about to respond when he heard the loud whistle come from down the bar. He turned and looked and his widened. What the hell was she doing here with the other one?!? That was not good or was it good? Well either way they didn't have a right to keep them at the house. This would do Rhona and Fathom some good actually. He could keep an eye on them easily enough.
"Actually you two were like sisters and partners. It made me wonder who was going to survive the first semester. I can't say ti was all bad and you two turned out good enough. Just look at you both. Serina going to be married and you going on a grand adventure to ensure the safety of others in another country. How can that be so bad. After all it isn't like we don't own a fast jet or anything and that we can use it to visit."
He watched as Cate got up to excuse herself and then decided to have her check on their visitors.
"Cate can you please swing by those two down there and make sure they are ok. Its those two girls from the mansion. You know the redhead and dark haired one. Thanks."
He smiled at her and waited for her go and check on them. Just a quick check to ensure they were behaving.
-*-
Rhona was confused by this place. It was dimly lit, and allowed people to consume beverages, and socialize with others. It was like a cafeteria back at the mansion but only you had to have currency to get drink. It was very strange indeed. She glanced back at the male she had spotted when she came in. She wanted him to come over here and sit down. That is what she wanted for him to do. She could probably carry him over. She would ask Fathom.
"How do you get a male to sit by you?"
Relina felt the pressure ease as Skye started to ask her about music. She was breathing and then Fred's hand, which was so gentle for being so large, was reassuring on top of being there with him. When her questions final sank in she smiled at Skye. Those were great questions and yes she could most of those musician's songs with ease. Hell who didn't want to grow up to be in a rock band?!?
"Yes, yes, yes, and are you kidding me, but yes! I have played all of them. We can even do some Queen and that new group Greta Van Fleet! I love playing the guitar because well after a long day of school or work. Yes I worked through school even though my parents tried to pay for it. I have to say who didn't watch Scooby-Doo growing up when they introduced the Hex Girls and want to be one? Please take me over and introduce me to your guitar so I can become acquainted with it. After all it isn't every day someone lets me handle something they would regard as a child or lover."
She smiled and placed her hand on Fred's. Yes he was helping and she pulled out some money, about sixty dollars, and decided she was going to need more than a beer or two. It was time for some shots.
"Fred you are so awesome! You know that right? Let's get some shots...I believe I saw a bottle of Johnny Walker Green Label on the bar. You are having one Fred, after all you are my boyfriend, and Skye of of course, hell everyone at the table gets one, and if you need my card just come back and get it. Now let's have a shot and then go see what this guitar has to offer."
Relina looked at the guy who came over to Skye. He was being rather presumptuous to think that no had offered to take her to the hospital. What kind of animals did he think they were? Well no had offered because Skye wasn't acting concerned about her hand. He was right though and would let her make the decision.
"Ummmmm....I don't think we've been introduced to each other. As for Skye she hasn't stated that she needs a hospital. I believe she is mored worried about her band being without their guitarist. Is that right Skye?"
-*-
Jeff resisted the urge to smack Matt upside his head and just smiled at the kid. He wasn't acting like a man but a kid. There was a big difference. Yes he took into account the fact he had just up ended his world and threw it all in the garbage. After which he decided to double down and dash all hope his mother was alive and tell him she was dead. It was a rather shitty day for Matt and that meant he was going to cope the best way he knew how, it seemed he had gained the capacity to drink as a coping mechanism. He wouldn't chastise him over that as that would have been hypocritical as hell.
"Alright Matt I get you want to be left alone but that is something that isn't going to happen. I know why you want to be left but you should know you have friends you can lean on. I know right now I'm not your favorite person and I don't blame you. Give me a chance and I'll do as much as a possible. Even John is here. I mean he is a good guy and well I didn't shoot him in the face because your sister asked me not to so he must be tops in her book. He is another friend though."
He stopped for a moment as he noticed the tall redhead sitting at the bar. He nearly blew it off but stopped when she turned. WHAT THE FUCK! There was no way she was here and he must be drunk. He would ask Matt if he saw her.
"Matt at the end of the bar. The tall redhead...do you see her? I think I'm hallucinating unless you tell me you see her as well."
He hoped she wasn't here. That could be very bad. He had to take a breath as he drank his beer calmly. That woman was like a friend of the Grim Reaper and they had lunch on Sundays.
Andrew laughed as he let his body sway to the beat as he stood very closer to her. He could not help but grin as arms and legs gently bumped into hers.Thersea seemed to be enjoying herself, even with the semi close contact. He cleared his throat at the mentioning of them meeting. The afternoon was a blast which was helped a lot by present company.
"If anything, I will hang around a little more. It has been fun getting to know you and some of the others. Maybe we can grab a bit to eat later as I would love to know more about how you came to join up with the Brotherhood." He gave her a little wink as he flashed his teeth. "My favorite past time happens to be people watching. Or jumping into a fighting ring. Growing up with just Aaron, we had to be creative with getting money."
As the music slowed, he stepped closer gently resting his hands on her hips. He leaned slightly closer only to find that his next move was rudely interrupted. His eyes narrowed as the word sis came out. He extended his hand as another came over called her Gabriella. He took a sharp breath allowing his mind to figure out what his next words would be. "Name is Andrew. Pleasure, Cyn." He paused as he looked to Gabriella with wanting an explanation later. "Gabs here never mentioned she had family here in the city."
Wanda glanced at her phone as she saw the time. Her arms crossed over her chest as she faded from attention. It was what she wanted. She felt bad for poor Skye. She didn't know what she would do if her dominate hand was broke. She figured it would be polite to stay for one song as her need for a late coffee run was edging to the surface. She highly doubted anyone would miss her or notice that she was gone.
"You might be wrong about that sugar", was whispered in her ear. She looked around, only to find someone not there. Her mind was probably playing tricks on her.
Larissa spotted her second in command. She thought it was cute that he was making friends. She guessed that Andrew is probably off banging someone in the bathroom. Oh how she loved to tease the horndog. It kept him right where she needed him. She was slightly surprised that Aaron had not spotted her in the crowded room. It did not matter to her in the least.
She slipped through the tangle of bodies as she came up behind Aaron and Todd. Her hand slipped through the dirty blonde hair as she brushed up against the other. "Do one of you boys want to buy a lady a drink?"
Angie smiled as she listened to Cate and Logan. She could see how found they were of each other. A bond that would be hard to break. She was beginning to think that everyone was close in the mansion. She had formed a few friendships with in Excalibur however nothing too close. She was usually busy.
It was probably why this trip was good for her. It might allow her to bond a little more with her team. She sighed as she took another sip. "Enjoy yourself as vell, Cate."
She turned her attention to where the whistle came from. She cocked her head to the side as she wondered about the girls. Clearly they caused Logan a little concern. She would not distract him if there was something more important to do.
"If ya need to take care of a couple of students, please don't let me hold ya back. After all, ve can continue a different time. Besides, it vas your turn to ask a question or I can just be a drinking partner." She paused for a moment, "Or just tell me to leave ya alone."
Fathom looked to the table with men and pondered "Well, you could buy him a drink...that might send him over. Otherwise, I don't really know. This is my first time in a bar, but that's how I've seen it done in movies." she smiled sweetly. She then looked to the man STARING at the two of them in the bar. He looked a bit disgruntled, which worried her. He was next to another man, a man looking pretty distraught and already a bit drunk. People get started early, apparently...
Todd maid to attention to Larissa, as his eyes were fixed on Rhona. "A-Aron, I think dat chick's lookin' at me, yo! I think I'm gonna go over there. Her eyes like, lingered longer than 3 seconds. I think dat's a sign." he grinned hungrily.
Cate nodded to Logan and smiled to Angie before she walked along, her eyes on Rhona and Fathom. She did have to do a double-take, however, as Rhona seemed to be wearing her black dress. She didn't mind, but at least ask first? Eh, Rhona was new to their world and she seemed to be a bit off. She'd have to teach her some manners, which would happen when they got back to the mansion. She sauntered her way to the girls and smiled "Hey Rhona, nice dress..." she smirked as she sipped her martini.
Skye's eyes widened as Relina spoke of the rock legends "YES! Yes to everything! So, you can play. Let me introduce you to the band and The Queen. She's my most prized possession, and I've been playing her forever." The Queen she spoke of, was her guitar.
As Pyro arrived, she was able to smile a bit more. The two had only just begun dating, but she felt like it was longer "No... I'm okay for now. I just can't move it. I wrapped it up and probably after the show, I'll get it fixed, but we're on in 5 minutes." she sighed as she used her free hand to stroke his cheek "Relina, this is John, my boyfriend. He's a bit protective." she winked wickedly "And yes, I'm more worried about the show. We've got labels here and we might get signed tonight. It just depends how good we are.." she breathed heavily "All right, Relina...it's showtime." she smirked, grabbing her hand "Thanks, Fred!" she smiled before rushing onto the stage.
Fred had just returned from the bar with the requests "Good luck, baby...you'll be great, I know it." he blushed. He could help himself from blushing, even when it happened 90% of the time.
Matt looked to Jeff and then saw redhead "Nah..she's there, dude." he replied as he sipped from his bottle "And just let me drink tonight and tomorrow I'll work on it, okay? I mean, I've had my entire world turned upside down. Yeah, I know I've got a support team and shit. I know. It's just a huge change from living off couches an stealing to survive, to living in a house and meeting with my sister again, when I didn't know she was still alive, AND finding out my *father* killed the best woman I know, and then finding out that my actual father...he's standing right next to me." he spoke quickly "I feel like a fuckin' soap opera!" he exclaimed as he did a double-take to the redhead "And, is that RHONA?!" he blurted as he dropped his beer to the ground. "What in the inglorious FUCK!"
Gabriella blushed and smiled "I've been having fun getting to know you too Andrew." She started to put her head on his shoulder when Lawrence and Cyn came in. She was shocked when Cyn called her Gabriella and she knew this would end bad. She had to tell Andrew and she hoped he would understand
Gabriella went white and looked to Andrew, then Lawrence and Cyn...she looked different but it was definitely Cyn. She looked to Andrew "I didn't know he was alive until yesterday...but I will let you know more later. I'll tell you now if you want to talk out back..." She nodded and looked grimly at him. She did have a good explanation and she would let him know. "
Pyro looked Skye and then to Gabs with a nod to come over. "Andrew...I promise meet me out back and I will tell you everything. Right now I'm being called" Lawrence looked to Andrew "I will say this on my sister...She has her reasons. And she wasn't lying to you Andrew. Neither of us knew the other was alive until yesterday. It' is a long story and it's big that she's going to trust you with it...so at least listen to her okay. Cyn love I'll be right back. I'm going to help her as she may need plants for healing from what I'm seeing over there..." as he followed Gabs over to Skye seeing that she was probably hurt "can you heal her Gabs? Seems like she. It was then Pyro spoke up has a broken bones and maybe other unseen injuries"
"Bro can you make some plants for me?" Lawrence nodded and did so. In an instant they were dead and a small ball of green glowing energy glowed in her hand. She touched where Skye was hurt and she saw it heal immediately and smiled "Are you going to be alright now?" She asked Skye. "I'm sorry I cannot stay but...well...I have to talk to Andrew." She looked to CYn and Lawrence both "You both need to know that to everyone else besides those here my name is Theresa Rubin..."
Lawerence sighed "That's right..you are using her name since Friends of Humanity would be looking for Gabriella if they knew you were alive. You forgot to tell Cyn about that..."
She nodded "I know...that's on me. I don't blame her. Why do you think I'm not angry. But right now is some Damage control." Gabriella ran out back and waited for Andrew.
Lawrence went over to Cyn "So what's the plan now?" he looked to Cyn and grinned.
Rhona turned to look at Cate and nodded. She was right it was a nice dress and fit her like a second skin and it reminded her of the suit she wore when she was armored up. It was very nice and the material felt good against her skin. It was not a feeling she had ever felt before and she wanted to experience other things.
"Thank you. It is yours as I didn't have any other outer garments to wear. I will have to ask you about other garments that were in your room. I shall return it when I have completed my outing with Fathom."
When Fathom mentioned the way to get a guys attentions she nodded and wondered where she could find other information about bringing a guy over to converse with him. She thought really hard and suddenly after a very short golden glow from her eyes she nodded as if she heard a voice insider her head.
"I think I shall attempt to pick him up as I have just learned."
She rose from her stool, walked over to Todd, and looked at him seriously for a moment then spoke.
"I'm Rhona and I want you to sit with me."
She didn't hesitate as she hoisted him off his chair and carried him back over to where she was sitting a placed him on the empty stool next to her.
"Now you are sitting with me. I appreciate you not resisting."
Her drinks came and she drank both of them in rapid succession. The yellow liquid she took her time on as the shots were just small. She looked at Fathom.
"That seemed to work as he is now sitting with me. I appreciate you giving me ideas though."
She looked around for a moment and then decided that she had not gotten this male's designation. She would inquire.
"What is your designation?"
Cate shrugged her shoulders, a bit annoyed with Rhona, but she had been well aware that Rhona wasn’t like the rest of them. “Just...please ask permission before taking someone else’s item. It’s rude not to, okay? And I have most of my things packed up, so if you need anything before I leave, just ask.” She replied softly before looking forward.
The next moment happened so fast that Fathom didn’t have time to react before Todd was now sitting in the chair next to them. Putting her hand onto her forehead, she shook her head. “No...no, no, that’s NOT how you do this. Well, I’m pretty sure, that’s not how you do it.” She sighed again before ordering another drink. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed two men staring at them. “R-Rhona, do you know those guys?” She asked as she pointed to Jeff and Matthew.
Todd had been caught completely off guard and was slightly terrified, but more turned on. She had a grip on her for a tiny thing! He looked her up and down before forcing his mouth open to speak “H-Hi..” he stammered before looking back to Aaron. Giving a goofy grin, he returned his attention to Rhona as he dug into his pocket for his wallet “C-Can I get ya a drink, da-darling?” He asked gently, afraid of being picked up again.
he bar was getting a bit louder as the noise wafted into his office. Remy stretched a little as the order for the next week was put into the computer delivery system. Business had been steady. Between the fight and the show, things are going to be packed. Most nights, he let his bartenders handle it, an extra set of hands would not be the worst thing in the world. He gave a slight bit of hope that his red haired southern lass might show up.
He put his computer into sleep mode as he left his office, locking it after him. He trusted his staff only so far. He gave a nod to the kitchen staff after a brief stop to the head cook. Things were flying with the usual finger food and burgers. He kept things simple and greasy which usually had the clientele coming back for more.
He stepped into the main room and it was packed. He grabbed a few empty dishes as he threw them into a bin. Orders were being called left and right for the various servers. He snicker slightly as little Wanda came out to play with her little friends. So nice to see her being social. Creed had also come along with Logan who looked to be talking up a good looking blonde. He crossed his fingers that there was not going to be any other than the two main events.
He dumped the bin in the back as he started taking orders from the bar. He grabbed the money as he worked along side of Caius. "I should have had all hands on deck tonight, huh buddy?" He joked with the vampire. "Think we can we can manager with what we got? If not, you might have to step it up a notch."
Andrew watched the small group, noticing the change in Gabriella's color. It was serious, putting a damper on the mood of the evening. He was getting close to ensnaring her in his arms. His smile faulter for just a moment as she told him her brother came back in her life just yesterday.
"I will meet you out back. I'm slightly peeked as to why you needed to hide such a pretty name as Gabriella. It was almost a pleasure, brother and Cyn."
He dropped his arms to his side as he left the loud noise of music. His fist hit the wall outside as he sneered to the passerby's. Fuck those who interrupted what was happening. He would let out some of the steam a little later. Maybe he would even join in the fight. It could prove rather fun.
Lawrence shrugged. Yet another guy to be wary of now that he had his little sister back. He he looked to Cyn and gave her a kiss "Let's just enjoy ourselves..." He smiled and took her hand
Gabriella went outside to meet Andrew and found a good seating area, and motioned him to sit down. She sighed and started, at least trying to take his hand "I'm sorry I had to lie about my name...but I'll explain why it was necessary at least at first." She sighed and gave a heavy breath before starting "Seven years ago...you've heard of the friends of humanity right? Well they were looking for Lawrence one day and came right into our home. He wasn't home and they tried to torture my parents to know where he was but they...they refused to tell them. Me and my best friend at the time who was staying with us, named Theresa Rubell..." She nodded at the name as that was in fact the name she was using. "We hid in the back in the bushes while they tortured them...hearing them scream got to much for Theresa. She tried to run but she was found. " She gulped again a tear running down each cheek.
"Thinking she was me and their daughter, therefore a potential mutant, they Shot her point blank in the face and killed her. An eight year old girl..." She closed her eyes as another tear came from each eye "You see...On paper Gabriella Moretti is dead and therefore the friends of humanity can't come after her and have other people get caught up in the search for her. Also once I get revenge...well they won't see it coming. So I use Theresa's name instead. It helps me remember why I need to find and kill Gayden creed. Once he is dead I'll go to the police as long as they don't know it's me who killed Gayden and let them know the truth. Right now there is a death certificate with my real name it..." She looked seriously at him. She hoped he realized that not only was she being honest but even now the only thing she lied about was here name and right now she was explaining why. She had no reason to lie now and she was putting all her cards on the table.
Rhona didn't need a drink. She had several drinks already and they were bringing more and she was enjoying them. When he offered to buy her more drinks here eyes widened and a light that was not there was seen now. She liked this idea of having drinks and this guy seemed very interested in her. She let that information flow into her again and this time she learned that men usually wanted something more from women and she had never thought about what that would entail.
"You may call me Rhona and give me your designation as strange male does not suit you as a name. A drink would be good. I have several and would like more as they seem to be altering my body chemistry to make me more amenable to suggestions."
Fathom asked her about the guys at the end of the bar and she looked at them. They didn't seem very familiar but she had this weird memory of the older man telling her something about something important. She shook her head at it and then decided to leave that alone. She didn't know them at all.
"I have not seen them before...why?"
Logan shook his head at Angie and knew she could handle them well enough. He was more interested in hearing about her and the life she had up until she joined Excalibur. That was all he was after.
"Nah you're fine right where you are Angie. They are going to take care of themselves. They seem to be behaving. What did you do before you joined Excalibur?"

Andrew turned as he saw that Gabriella came out of the bar right after him. He cared only a little if she saw his mini outburst. He followed her to a table with just a couple of chairs. It was a slightly awkward moment as he decided to lean back with his hands resting on his legs. It would seem the best to be at ease given she was about to explain everything. It had better be a good story. He watched her closely.
He nodded his head when she mentioned the Friends of Humanity. It is a pretty famous anti-mutant group. They often held rallies along with acts of violence against their kind. He remembered a few news reports about them, particularly the more violent things when his grandmother was alive. Since then, he has been more focused on the needs of his brother. He gently patted her hand as he got the feeling this story was not going to end well.
He found himself leaning forward as he wiped the tears off her cheeks. It was one of those times that he could only guess what it was like to live through. Revenge was oddly something he could help with. He and his twin were good at getting in and out of places. In any heist, he was the grifter of the group as he could charm a cat out of one of it's lives. It drove Aaron crazy however they had each other's back no matter what.
"Those so called saviors of the human race will get what is coming to them. I know it must of been hard to tell me all of this. Most of us have some sort of dark chapter in our lives that we want to forget. Or your case, lay to rest. Though how does Creed play into all of this?" He gave her a wicked grin before whispering into her ear, "Say the magic words should you require assistance." He pecked her on the cheek as he sat back. He had a feeling that this revenge could happen a lot sooner. Mistress of Nightmares might actually enjoy getting her hands dirty to take a group down who often causes harm to others.
Angie was slightly taken back as he turned all of his attention back to her. He seemed to know his students well enough to just let them be. She took another sip of her drink before she answer the question. The recent past she could handle.
"I shall take your word on them." She paused as she answered his question, just leaving out a small detail which caused some embarrassment on her part. "A med student and an emergency vorker. I still do med school along with emergency vork part time. There is a promise that needs to be kept." She stopped herself right there. She could tell the alcohol was starting to get to her a little bit. She hoped that he would let the last part go.
Gabriella nodded as she gave a sad smile after he wiped the tears off her cheek "It isn't easy as I'd rather pretend it never happened. but it did. But at least lately I've met people more...understanding " She smiled a little bit as he seemed to have forgive her and understand, The fact that he was helping to comfort her made her feel a lot better, as she did hate not using her real name to begin with and when he said he would help her. It gave her elation to know there was even one more person who was willing to be there for her. Another person who understood.
"Gayden Creed is the creator and leader of the friends of humanity. He ordered the raid on my family and for that as you said...he will pay." There seemed to be a fire in her eyes "And he will pay at my hand" She kissed him on the forehead in turn for the peck on the cheek. She was visibly relieved that this went as well as it did. "Thank you for understanding Andrew. It does mean a lot"
Putting her black leather guitar strap over her shoulder, she stepped up to the microphone. Looking to her bassist, she smiled. Tavish has been there for her through hell and back when she arrived in Bayville. He was her brother from another mother.
She then looked back to her drummer, Varian. The blonde man was hyped up and ready to smash his sticks into the drums. She then looked to Relina and have a nod “First up is Highway Tune from Greta Van Fleet. After that, we’ll stroll right into Maybem by Halestorm.” She winked before turning her attention to the crowd...
“HEY EVERYONE! WE’RE HALIWEL, AND I HOPE YOU’RE READY TO ROCK!”
She grinned as she began to strum the first cords.
Todd gulped, but his nerves began to dissipate “Uhh, yeah, I’ll get you a drink..” he smiled sheepishly as he turned to the bartender “She’ll have another. On me!” He smiled as he returned his attention to Rhona “I’m Todd...”
Fathom tilted her head and gave a chuckle “I’ll leave you two be...” She smiled sweetly “Just let me know if you need anything, okay Rhona?” She asked softly as she hopped off her stool. Grabbing her drink, she walked over to Matt and Jeff “You’ve been staring at my friend and I for the last ten minutes. What’s the deal? Do you like to creep on women?” She asked as she sipped her drink.
Matt gulped “That’s...uhhh...mmm...” he turned to Jeff “This one is yours, dude.” He shrugged “See Gabs go outside with Andrew?” He shook his head. Maybe she’d moved on already.
Relina was nervous and it showed because when Fred returned she slammed two shots without blinking and smiled. That was better but not a fix for her issues. She looked at Fred and then when Skye motioned to head to the stage she nodded and when she got up she transmuted her seat into a guitar. Easy thing to do since she had been doing it almost forever it seemed. She would check the tuning when she got on stage and hooked up to the amp.
"Well here goes nothing. Are you sure you want me to play with your band? Your hand is healed and I might just mess things up for you."
Sure she was nervous...well beyond nervous and when she actually stepped up on stage she felt her blood run cold. Well no time like the present to see if she could actually do this and make music with a bunch of people watching. She looked at the assembled faces and when she spotted Fred and his large smile she felt herself calm a bit. When Skye spoke again she nodded still feeling that cold in her blood. Well she told her what she was going to do and now was time to do it. She plugged in her guitar, not a bad Fender copy, and quickly tuned it. It wasn't that badly out of tune but still one did these things with a new instrument.
"Got Highway Tune and then Mayhem. When do you want me to come in right after you?"
This was the part that was unpracticed and she was going to ruin it without a little direction. Well no time like the present to find out she just hoped Skye gave her some direction here or this was going to be horrible. When Skye announced the band she steeled herself and was ready to play. When Skye started she followed right along losing herself to the music. She was synced with Skye.
-*-
Jeff was glad that Matt was going to sort his shit out tonight and then start on actual work tomorrow for sorting it out. Hell he couldn't blame him but still he was concerned because he was responsible for this and would take care of Matt the best he could but tonight they would have drinks get home safe. Well as safe as they could because he always had someone to shoot or harass. He had never been serious but then again he had always had Ava there to temper his seriousness and well she wasn't here now and he had to do that tempering himself.
"Matt I'm serious, alright? I know this path and well its not one I will recount in a public place. I will tell you later in private. If this was a soap opera you would also find out you have a twin and that one of you is evil and that one has the family fortune and is keeping your half away from you in some legal trickery. Just saying you know."
When Matt confirmed it was Rhona he started to remember how he would bring her over to play with Skye and as she grew the horrific things he helped train her to do. This was like a waking nightmare but only worse because she was actually here. He took a deep breath and watched as she went and grabbed an unsuspecting guy and drug him back to sit next to her. That caused a laugh. Then she acted like she wanted to converse with him. When Matt exclaimed his thoughts were echoed in that feeling only way worse. It was like someone had shot him in the gut and then decided to remove the round while he was still awake and then do some exploratory surgery while they were at.
"Well hopefully the bar isn't fucked. I hope she isn't here for some nefarious reason at the orders of Darius."
He was about to say more when he was approached by the brunette who had been sitting with Rhona. She asked a very obvious question and it was quite rude. He looked at Matt who threw him under the bus and just up and walked.
"Matt...seriously? I don't interact well with the public...you know unless I'm working."
He returned his attention to the brunette and set his beer down. She seemed very intent about her question.
"Actually no I don't but I thought your red-haired friend was someone I knew. I was wrong. It is dark and smoky in here after all."
He actually did hate bars and would have rather stayed home with a bottle and passed out watching boring TV. Well this conversation was going nowhere quick. He was after all a solitary being with only work at times to keep his interest.
"Why would you ask me that anyways? It's not like I know you or her. News flash...guys like to look at women and visa versa."
Fathom shook her head “I asked because you two were staring at us. I barely saw you bat an eyelash, so yeah, I asked.” She sighed. She hadn’t ever been to a bar before and she didn’t know how men really acted in this situation. It sounded that she insulted him, and now knowing his intentions, she put it off. “I’m aware that men look at women, but it was obvious staring...and the fact that your friend’s mouth was open.” She motioned to Matthew.
Matthew closed his eyes, mentally smacking himself. “Look, I’m sorry we stared you. Like he said, we thought we knew that girl over there...”
Fathom folded her arms “Well, I doubt you do, but one never knows. It’s a small world and we’re both new here. We’re just trying to have a good time, as the world had shit on us pretty harshly.”
Matt nodded, putting his hands up in surrender “You do you, sweets.”
Fathom closed her eyes in disgust. He called her Sweets. Gross. She looked to Jeff and have a smile “I’m sorry for my assumption. I’m Fathom.” She smiled kindly, holding out her hand hand in a truce.
Cyn shook Andrew's hand as he introduced himself. She looked at Gabs and shook her head as she leaned in a little, "I am so sorry. It won't happen again. I promise."
Cyn gave Lawrence a smile, "I will come along. I can give moral support." Cyn followed Lawerence and Gabs. She watched as Lawrence did is thing. When Gabs looked to her and told her the name she was using she gave her a nod. "Theresa Rubin.Got it." When Gabs left to go explain to Andrew what was going on she again reached out to Lawrence. "The plan? Well I am up for just about anything." She gave him a mischievous grin.
A rather young-looking, green-haired teen entered the establishment. He wore a red T-shirt with the sleeves torn off, showing off fairly toned arms for one so small...The right of which bore what appeared to be a chain-link tattoo spiraling down the length of it. On the front of the shirt, was something hand-written in black marker but it was obscured by the smoke. The boy wore a pair of dark-green and dark-brown camouflage pants, held up with a chain belt.
The teen worked his way through the ever-growing crowd, finally reaching the bar and called out. "Hey, Mountain Dew please." He could have ordered something alcoholic, but getting wasted in a bar then getting into shit....wasn't exactly a priority. First landing on this planet in a place known as 'Chicago'; the teen mistook a thing known as a 'Semi Truck' for a monster.... He'd been on the run for a month and wants to keep SOMEWHAT of a low profile.
After placing and order for the soda, he added. "And do you guys serve food here?"
It sounded like the band was about to start, so a green eye was looking at an empty table near the stage.
Andrew smiled as Gabriella kissed his forehead. The soft affection warmed him slightly. He began to wonder what she was like in between the sheets. He cleared his throat as he pushed that thought out of his head. Now was not the time nor the place. He would hopefully get what he desired soon enough.
"So does this mean you have accepted my help? Taking down an organization is tough for just one person all by herself. Some of us have useful skills to get into the inner workings." He paused as he moved a little closer to brush hair away from her face, "After all, it would be a shame to have something happen to you."
Wanda caught herself glaring at the new woman who joined their table. It felt odd to have someone lean a little on Aaron. Her arms crossed over her chest as a finger tapped on her elbow. She shook her head as she was uncertain about why this was bothering her so much. Honestly, she could care less. It must be since it was someone new. She probably had enough of people for one day.
She blinked as she decided if she really wanted to stay for the one song. Her eyes narrowed as she could have sworn the new woman winked at her. God, what was going on. It must be because she needed some coffee. She listened as she bounced between her feet.
Larissa leaned closer to Aaron as she did in fact wink at the witch. The woman's thoughts seemed loud to her through the noise of the bar. She found it a little adorable that there was a hint of jealousy. She ran her finger though Aaron's hair a little more, just for the reaction. She nudged the man a little bit.
"Are you going to introduce me to your new friend's? Especially the one trying to drill holes through my head?"
Jeff watched carefully as Fathom spoke. Matt wasn’t helping things any with his banter and the look that passed over the woman’s face when Matt called her sweets was not approving. He wasn’t sure this was going to go well.
“Nice to meet you Fathom. I’m Jeff. Again I’m sorry for staring. It’s dark and well people are easily mistaken for other people in a place like this.”
He smiled as he turned and motioned for another whiskey. He was going to need them. He might as well be as social as he could be considering the situation.
“Whatcha drinking Fathom? The least I can do is buy you a drink for being a bother.”
Skye announcing her band caused Jeff to whistle loudly. Her whole world shitting in people harshly wasn’t news to him. It loved to do that.
“World tends to do that to people. It seems some are on the receiving end more than others. It’s a shitty thing but hell at least were six feet the right side of the dirt.”
He chuckled as the drinks arrived and he slid Caius a five.
~*~
Aaron didn’t mind Larissa right where she was at and in fact if they hadn’t seen each other naked this might have been awkward.
“Introductions are well for in a moment. As soon as we have s drink. You’re here and you might as well look like you are here to have fun. That way you can blend in a bit.”
He didn’t mind the hand in his hair. He caught what she said and noticed Wanda was staring at Larissa and he smiled to himself.
“Ah yes. Wanda. She is interesting. Just another mutant who happens to be part of the Brotherhood. I know her brother. She is odd. I guess Andrew is off trying his luck with some unsuspecting guy or gal.”
He wondered what Larissa wanted. He kept his thoughts quiet around her. She liked to finish people sentences.
“What do you want to drink?”
Rhona didn’t need another drink. She wanted him to sit down and make conversation with her. She had plenty of drinks. She wouldn’t stop him from buying her drink. It seemed to be part of the ritual in places like this.
“I accept your offer of a drink Todd. My designation is Rhona. What brought you here tonight?”
The music began and she turned and looked confused at the band. She waited a moment as she again unconsciously accessed her ability and realized people came her to meet people and have sexual relations. She cross referenced that term and understood. That looked like an experience she wanted to have. Perhaps Todd would like to have sex with her. She leaned forward and caught his scent. It was intriguing to her. What Todd would notice is eyes glowed and she got a far away look in her gold eyes.
“I was unaware of the live music tonight. It is quite loud. It does provide a good cover of people wanted to slip in and out. It makes it optimal to meet people and do things that are fun with them.”
She leaned in closer to Todd. His scent was amazing to her. It wasn’t one she had ever encountered in her memory.
Logan was listening carefully when she told what her future profession was going to be. A doctor and emergency worker. That was excellent. The world needed learned people who could heal others. He nodded and when she cut herself short at promise part and decided it was her secret to keep and tell when she wished.
“Those are honorable professions. I think you’re better than most doing that kind of work.”
He smiled and drank some of his beer and noticed both their drinks were getting empty. He signaled for more and placed the money on the bar and returned his focus to Angie.
“Whatcha think of Excalibur?”
Caius ran into the supply room to replenish the beer and various liquors. With an unneeded deep breath, he lifted a crate of vodka and slid it near the door. taking his knife, he cut the tape across the top and opened the wooden panels to remove the clear bottles of liquor. Upon removing the last bottle, his eyes widened. "What the hell? They give us a sample or something?" he asked himself out loud. As he removed the bottle, he had a bit of resistance. "The fuck?" he pulled as he heard a snap. A piece of wire had been duct tapped to the bottle. Looking closer, he saw a small device that bright green numbers had suddenly illuminated the screen. He felt his heart, or what resembled one, beat through his chest "HOLY SHIT..." Where the fuck was Remy?!
~*~*~*~*~*~
Cate sauntered toward the exit of the club, tired of the scene and irritated that the man she loved had skipped out on the night. She didn't understand why, but she would find out soon enough. All she wanted to do was help...
As she walked, she bumped into someone in the crowd.. "Oh! Hey, I'm sorry...I'm a little tip..no, I'm drunk. Anyway, sorry.."
While waiting for his drink order, the green-haired boy was suddenly pushed aside. "The hell?!" He looked to find a blonde woman who didn't look much older than him, was kind of stumbling about on her way out. She seemed sober enough to apologize to him, but...... His green eyes darted around the room. Quite a few people to wade through and some may not be all that nice. "S'alright, uh hey...do you need some help walking out?"
Remy sighed as his words to Caius initially where lost. It was not surprising with how busy it was. His hands started to move quickly as he poured drinks and took money. He smiled though too busy to make small talk with anyone. He loved it best when it was somewhere in between slow and fast. He liked the take time to get to know the various mutants that are around the area.
He throw out a few bottles that were empty, only not to have replacements. He hoped that he had ordered enough to last the night. He would hate to see what would happen if all these people realized that he was under supplied. He glanced around to see where that damned vampire had gone. He groaned as he went to get more booze on his own.
He headed back to the store room, only to fine the man he was looking for. He crossed his arms as he commented, "Can you stop groping the bottles? Can't let anyone get too sober here." ~*~
Larissa smiled as Aaron turned his attention to her. She let her finger tips brush up and down his arm as he mentioned fun and drink. Oh the man had only seen a couple of different sides of her. She always had lots of fun, just depends on the crowd.
"Well I was told that I needed to get out tonight. Which this counts." She pouted a little, "I am hurt that you don't think that I can blend in. Something strong would work. You know that I am never really one to be into something fruity."
She snorted slightly at the mention of Wanda and her brother. Odd was a good way of putting it. She wondered about this brother of hers. She liked to know what trouble her second in command often got into or the people that he associates with. They had more of a causal relationship between the sheets. If he ever chose to move on, it would be sad and yet she would not care, as long as she approved.
She laughed at the comment of his twin. "The poor person. It might be fun to mess up his chances a bit, don't you? I love messing with your brother, maybe a little too much at times." ~*~
Angie felt her cheeks grow warm at the compliment from the hairy man. She honestly did not know if she was better than others. All she could say for sure was that she worked hard. She smiled as he ordered more drinks. This might prove to be an interesting night.
She was happy to have the conversation turned to something other than work. She thought for a moment about what her life was now. Her words tumbled out as the alcohol was starting to get to her.
"Excalibur has been...." She paused as she formed the words she wanted to say. She really never thought about them as a whole. "...decent. It has a learning curve." She had learned how to defend herself as well as the delicacy of her powers. "I have been getting to know everyone on the team vhen I can find the free time."
She turned the conversation back to him. She was curious about his group. "Vhat of you? How did you find the X-men?"
Caius looked up to Remy and glared, ignoring the insult. “Have a look...” he replied, gritting his teeth.
As he spoke, he moved away from the crate to let his boss observe the explosive hidden within the vodka bottles “We’ve got about 20 minutes before this place blows us into pink mist. Now, I could care less if I die. Technically, I’m already dead, but I’m assuming you like living, so I’d recommend getting the fuck out of here...”
———————
Cate thought for a moment “I was planning on taking an Uber home, but thanks.” She replied as she grabbed her pea coat. Looking to the man, she noticed his green hair and his other features. “You’re a little young to be in here, aren’t you?” She asked as she placed a hand on her hip.

Gabriella smiled at Andrew "Yes, when the time comes. I could honestly use all the help I could get on this. " She put her head on his shoulder. She wondered what he was thinking as he cleared his throat. He was certainly an attractive man and she ended up more relaxed now that he knew the truth. It was a good thing and she nodded "Let's go back inside now that the private part of our talk is over. Unless..." she said thoughtfully. It was kind of late in the night. "we could get out of here for the night.
Lawrence sat around the bar for a while watching everything that went on. He wondered what he should do as he watched something he was still not yet used to seeing. A bar just for mutants and neutral place for mutants no matter what they thought of the world issues and those without powers. It didn't matter here. And that mattered. He looked to the man that seemed to be the owner.
Serina drank her drink and nodded as she saw Remy. She was thankful for a place like this. It was an escape from her responsibilities and her new life. She looked to Bran and smiled "Having fun love? I kind of am for all the simplicity. I know it's like the calm before the storm but somehow that doesn't seem to matter you know?"
Matthew saw Jeff and Fathom leave for the dance floor. Taking another swig of his beer, he pushed it forward on the bar. He was a little drunk now, and the liquid courage was opening up new paths for him. He was in the middle of understanding what had just happened to him. Skye had known and tried to comfort the man, but to him, she had betrayed him just a little. Knowing and not telling him the moment that she knew bothered him.
“I need some air...” He sighed inwardly, talking out loud as if he were ina conversation with someone else. Running a hand through his spiked brunette hair, he walked toward the back door and turned the handle. The fresh winter air his his face as he breathed it in. The chill was perfect as he let himself be enveloped by the comfort it brought to his nose. Looking to his right, he saw Gabs with Andrew. They looked quite close, intimately so. Closing his eyes, his bit his lip. The initial sting of seeing them together hurt him, but what could he do? He needed to confide in someone. He needed support with the overwhelming news he’d just received.
With a simple shrug, he decided to try. Shoving his hands into his pockets, his hazel eyes looked to Gabs tenderly as he walked to the both of them “Sorry to interrupt, but...Gabs, can I talk to you?” He asked softly, the sense of urgency in his voice. This woman was the person he was closest to. Was he falling for her?
The answer, despite all the shit, was yes.
?Well I was gonna help you outside, you seem to have a hard time walking." He noticed the woman eying his features and did the same. (Heeey, not bad...) But any joy that might've come from that was quickly squashed with a mallet from the way she asked her question, as it came off a bit condescending. (Well shit, that didn't last long!) However, that wasn't reflected in his answer. "Here for the Fight! They ain't charging a cover...though I wouldn't be surprised if tips were included and filled out in triplicate... Plus!" His body was moving to move with the music.
Remy's eyes widened as his mouth dropped open at device that was shown to him. His fists clenched tightly as the numbers ticked down. "Which fucking antimutant group do you think? Those fuckers can all hang themselves right now. This place has done nothing but good."
Anger seeped into every word. He was normally laid back, this was just a horrendous. A night where they were packed for the ultimate death toll. He ran a hand through his hair as he thought quickly. They needed to get the bomb out of the bar quick and quietly.
"Don't suppose you know how to defuse a bomb? Are you fast enough to get it out of the city? I mean you being dead and all seems like a good choice."
It was an idea he was throwing out there. Time was short. They needed to think fast.
"Unless someone is out there that can hold manipulate objects is around..."
He didn't finish his thought as he rushed into the bar area again. His eyes scanning the crowd. There had to be someone. ~*~
Wanda sighed as the music kept droning on. She had nearly enough fun being around people for the day. Her need for coffee was making her antsy. She glanced at her phone for the time. She had told herself that she would stay for a song which was not going to happen. She wanted to make it to her favorite shop before it closed. Too bad it was not open 24 hours a day.
She turned on her heel only to find herself face to face with Gambit. Her face scowled as her arms crossed over her chest. "What do you..."
"No time to talk, love. You just might be able to save everyone." Remy threw his arm around Wanda as he lead her towards the back.
"Are you going to explain or just leave me in the dark? The only way I will save people is by killing their mood." She did not like how close he was too her.
Remy sighed as they entered into the back. "Caius, show it to her." ~*~
Andrew smiled as Gabs rested her head on his shoulder. His arm draped over her shoulder as he gave it a little squeeze. He sighed inwardly at the closeness.
He chuckled at her comment of calling it a night. It was the tune the he wanted her to say. It was an invitation for possibilities. He had a feeling things were moving in the direction that he wanted. "We can head out of here for the night...."
He was going to say more however he was interrupted by a decent looking fellow. At least, this man was polite about it. He saw the look in the man's face. There was a plee there which almost made him wonder if he was barking up the wrong tree. He sat a little straighter as he looked over to Gabriella.
Gabriella smiled when Andrew agreed that they should leave. Not that she didn't like this place but everyone was a bit older than she was and she was feeling out of place at the moment. It was then Matt came over to her and wanted to talk to her. She was surprised but she nodded "Sorry Andrew I'll...be right back if I can."
She said as she moved to talk to Matt where no one else could hear ""Of course you can talk to me...what..what's on your mind?"
Once they were out of the ear of the public, Matthew ran both palms through his hair. His hazel eyes looked down to the blonde, forcing a smile “You look beautiful tonight, Gabs...”
With that, he took in a deep breath of the crisp fall air “I’m telling you this because you’re the only person aside from my sister and John, that I trust. I know we don’t know each other very well, but I feel like we have a connection.
Gabs...” He sighed heavily, still struggling with the news himself “You know how I wanted to start searching for my mother? Well, I just found out that she was murdered. In cold blood. My father killed her.
When I was young, she and that man you met earlier, Jeff, had an affair. He worked for my father, Darius England. He was the head of the Department of Defense. Jeff and my dad got into it and words were exchanged. Darius knew about the affair. My mother was trying to get my sister and I out of the house.
The night it happened...Skye had been out at practice, and I was at a friend’s birthday party. Darius came home and...” he stuttered, his eyes welling up with tears. Brushing the moisture away, he sniffled quickly and quietly as if he was ashamed of his emotions “he beat her to death. He buried her somewhere behind our house.
What he didn’t know, was that Skye and I weren’t both his.” He coughed “I am not the son of Darius England. Jeff is my father.” He added as he looked up to the stars, trying to compose himself “My life has been a lie, Gabs. I don’t know what to do. Who am I? What the hell am I doing?” He asked in anger, backing away from her. “And I don’t think you knew this before, but Darius is looking for Skye and I. He wants to take us into his facility. There’s this girl...woman...god damn.” He stumbled over his words. Telling her about Rhona was too much “I need help.” He breathed heavily “I know that I need to change, and I’m beginning that path, but, it’s so hard...” he almost sobbed.
Cate sighed heavily “The fight? Dude, that was over an hour ago..” she replied as she tucked a blind lock behind her head. Her eyes were sour, not wanting to be in public anymore. The pain was just too much and the alcohol had done a number on her emotions. She needed to get away..
“Unless you start a fight, the band is closing everything down in while...I think.”
She closed her eyes, feeling the rythum of the beat. She didn’t want to be herself anymore. No, what she wanted to be, was someone else entirely...
Relina played along with Skye just losing herself to the music and every now and again looking at Fred and her smile growing as did her getting into the role of being on stage and actually rocking. She couldn't help but feel like this was supposed to have happened and she was enjoying. She played and reflected on what had happened on the last two days. She met a nice guy...really nice guy. She met a woman, albeit a very short time the first time, and the second time being here after she got her hand messed up and then healed. Now she was playing on stage with a real band and not just to to music her friend had edited out the guitar part of the song and she played it. This must be what happiness was like and it was starting to really settle into her that she didn't need her parents to make it in this world.
"Mathew...thank you" she said with a blush as he said she looked beautiful. And then he dropped the bombshell that he found his mother was dead and that his father was the one that killed her. Also that him and Skye were being sought after by their supposed father. ANd they were only half blood related. She instinctively put her arms around him and held him close wordlessly for a few moments and began "I will be here for you whatever you need. I am glad though that that horrible man is not your father. I hope this Jeff is better than the man you thought was your father. Honestly that would be the only light in the tunnel in all of this." She kissed his cheek and went on
"I am so sorry about your mother too. And the fact that the man that was supposed to be your father..I have no words to describe how sorry I am. Whatever you need I will be right here. I will try and do everything I can to make sure no one finds you or Skye..." She hugged him tightly again and put her head on his shoulders in support. She didn't know what else to say as she knew what is was like to lose your parents, which was why she was glad that he found his real father and hoped he was a better person than the other man who he believed to be his father all those years. He deserved that happiness
Logan was impressed with her answers about Excalibur. He had never worked with the team exclusively, only on occasion when needed and they worked well together. He had always wondered why they never exchanged members to see each team worked so they could better work together but he wasn't in charge of either team so he would leave his thoughts were they belonged, which was in his head.
"Most teams have a learning curve but it seems that you are handling it well. It also looks like you can handle other things. I mean one doesn't join a team and find it suits them at first. This just shows you are tougher than you think you are Angie."
He didn't mind the getting to know his team members but sometimes they were annoying. He wouldn't go there with her about his experiences with his teammates but they could be annoying when trying to stop you from doing what was needed to ensure that the garbage was taken out.
"Teams are good and getting to know the other members is good as well. You find that having them all comfortable with you is better than being at odds with them."
Her next question was a great one and while he didn't usually answer that kind of question he took sip off his beer and thought about how best to answer it for her. She had already gave her answer and opinion and he would have to give his now.
"They found me. I was well not really suited to be around people but they took a chance on me and now well the rest is history. I was lost I suppose and they found me and helped me find a way. I can't thank them enough but sometimes they hear it and don't know how to take it."
He laughed as he answered and wondered what was taking the bartender so long. They were going to need some drinks soon. He might not be running low yet but he would be very soon.
"I don't know why but I feel like that they are my family now. It's strange you know what I mean?"
Aaron nodded to her as she said he didn't believe she could blend in. Well he had never seen her try before and this was a bit of a surprise. She seemed to want to shine on Wanda and that was ok with him because she was kind of mean to Todd earlier and well that wasn't cool even if you didn't like the guy. He looked Todd's direction and was impressed he hadn't run from the woman who had physically lifted him out of his seat and carried him off like a prize.
"You act like I don't know what you like to drink. We have played cards together and partied together before. I wasn't struck stupid at all."
He waited while the waiter came around an ordered another drink, not only for Larissa but also Wanda and himself. He gave them the money and waited while he watched the room. The way Larissa was touching his arm said a lot to him about what she wanted and what she was playing at. She was trying to get someone to act out of character for themselves. Larissa took special delight in messing with his brother and that was fine. He didn't stop as Andrew was old enough to care of himself and usually they got on well even after she messed up his chances with someone.
"I wouldn't worry about him. I think this one has a guy on her mind or at least she didn't seem to commit to Andrew. You can usually tell when they are into him. They will hang on his every word. She was slightly interested in my opinion but not fully interested. No worries there he may not have a chance at all."
The drinks were delivered and pointed to Wanda for the last one before it was removed. It was a fruity cocktail with only a shot or two of booze for flavor. The sweetness would cover the alcohol.
As Skye sang the last chorus, she wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead with her palm “Thank you, everyone!” She yelled into the crowd.
She heard Jeff yelling from the floor, which warmed her heart. She looked to Relina, giving her a warm smile, nodding in approval to the girl. “You’ve got a spot with us...if you want it. You’re incredible, Relina.” She smirked as she pulled her hair off to the side. Looking back into the crowd, she couldn’t find her brother, which worried her some, but she knew he could take care of himself. Still, she would ensure hat he was okay before nights end.
Hopping down from the stage, she waited for Relina to hop down with her “Time to greet your new fans!”
"Wait....what, seriously?!" The fight was ALREADY over? The woman was a little drunk, so perhaps she was getting the time wrong. He checked his watch; which was the old-fashioned type using gears and hands as opposed to a digital one. He'd acquired it while visiting what people called the ;West Coast' and wound it while there. The teen asked a random patron the time; they pulled out their phone...and confirmed it was a couple hours past what his watch read. "FFFUCK!" He'd been through quite a bit recently and was looking forward to watching OTHER people beat the shit out of each other...plus he wanted to check out this 'MMA' thing; it might be worth getting in on.
She'd also said the band was playing the crowd out, and it sounded like they were wrapping up. (This is gonna be a madhouse gettin' out).
...And on top of that, he never got his drink!
"Guess I'll head out too, I wanna beat the crowd; name's Ryuusei, it was nice talkin' to you, Miss."
“Cate. The name’s Cate.” She sighed heavily “You can still get a drink, I mean, they’re not closing any time soon. I think they’re just trying to start thinning out the crowd. It’s not bar time for another 45 minutes...” she replied, shrugging her shoulders “Sorry you missed the fight. I heard it was insane. I’m sure they’ll play it again on tv or something?” She wondered out loud as she grabbed her jacket.
Andrew sighed as Gabrella left with her friend. His eyes watched as they headed out of his sight. Damn as he was getting her to grow closer, weaving his web. There might be hope to salvage the night. He waited in the same spot, in hopes that they would come back this way. It might help his chances for the rest of the evening or next time.
He pulled out his phone as he started to scroll through. He had a list of numbers for various things. One could not help but build a social network. It often allowed him to pay for rent. It was just a matter of figuring out if he wanted to get paid or just for fun tonight. He hated having a cold bed unless he was in a rare state of mind.
~~ Larissa rolled her eyes at Aaron. She stated a fact as she took a step away, leaving trails of heat with her fingers. She leaned on the table as she placed her chin in her hand. There was no reason to spark a fight over a simple misunderstanding.
She was pleased with the drink order. Her eyes squinted at him as tried to press what he was thinking. The extra drink for the moody, dark one threw her for a loop. She wondered if he was playing at an angle. She would let it go, for now, at least.
She chuckled at the comment about Andrew. She would leave him be if there was little interest in him. She also knew at times that he should be allowed to win someone to his side. It was an issue when it was one of her crew. He was out of sight and out of mind. Time to focus on the here and now.
She sat up a little straighter as Wanda's drink was set down right as a man took her away. The expression on his face and thoughts pointed to trouble. She would not state out loud in case of a panic. She pushed her whole body up next to Aaron as she whispered.
"We should finish our drinks quickly. There is trouble brewing and I would rather like to stay in one piece."
She took a large gulp as she stepped back. Her mind constantly scanning. ~~~~
Angie kept her attention on Logan as he spoke of team and handling being in one. To her, it was not a huge thing. She had learned to be in one since she held her first ballet slippers. She sighed as one had to work in all sorts of setting with dance, school, and music. It was just another place for her.
"Trust, I have found though my days of classical dance, vas earned. There vas more than a few times I had a partner drop me. In a team, it vorks better if ve have that trust. There has not been a reason vhy we don't trust one another."
She had not thought of those days in years. She had kept up her training as she built her strength. She may not look it, she can dead lift a 250 pound man. It was an impressive feat for those who don't know her well enough.
She smiled as he mentioned family. Blood relations never meant that you were family. Even though she had lost some of hers, she had gained others through her job and school. She lifted her glass, leaned a little forward. It was time for another toast.
"I'm happy that in our vay, teams had found us. To family and teammates."

JP: Todd and Rhona; Fathom and Jeff:
Fathom smiled to Jeff ”Don’t apologize, it was a misunderstanding.” She nodded as told the bartender her drink order ”I think I was drinking a vodka cranberry? I’m sorry, I don’t go out often..” that was a lie. Well, what was she supposed to say? Hi there, handsome man, I just got out of an asylum that my parents put me in against my will for the last 5 years... yeah, no. With a gentle sigh she received her drink, to which she held up to his whiskey glass “To misunderstandings? And...would you like to dance it off?” She asked as he whistled to the band.
Todd smiled sheepishly “Uh...yeah...whatever she was drinking, please get her another.” He gulped. Gods, she was a pretty... her glowing eyes just illuminated her pale skin. He was falling in love with someone he didn’t even know. He was infatuated with her.. ”Uhh, well, I came out tonight to have a little fun...” he chuckled as he scratched his head “I guess I was hoping to meet someone special....and...” he stumbled over his wording “Would ya like to dance?”
Jeff looked at the brunette who gave her name as Fathom. He really looked at her. She was pretty in a way that not many could carry off. She was a bit nervous but hell who wouldn’t be in this climate. She seemed to carry herself well enough. He clinked his glass to hers.
“To misunderstandings.”
He drank a little bit and swallowed a little harder than he intended when she asked him to dance. That was a change. It was odd not to be the one who initiated but it was the 21st century and he set his drink down and nodded slowly before answering.
“I would love to dance. You’ll have to excuse me if I’m not current on what passes for dancing in the current year.”
That response sent Fathom into laughter. She sipped from her glass and put it onto the bar “Well, that makes two of us.” She winked playfully. Shaking her head, she folded her arms “At least the music is good...at least in my opinion…” looking to him, she felt his presence. He was a bit nervous, which oddly made her more comfortable. The best song was a slow one, so to make it even more nerve wracking, they’d have to actually touch each other. She shook her head, well, how else did people dance? This wasn’t footloose…
She decided to get the initial awkwardness out and began to walk out onto the floor “Your friend can stay back. He’s not great with women…”
Rhona gladly accepted the drink and to show she wasn’t going to forget it drained half of it and started to feel the effects of the alcohol. Her metabolism was fast and burned anything off in a matter of hours but the rate she was consuming alcohol was enough to keep that from happening.
“Special? Ah yes, better, greater, or otherwise different from what is usual.”
Todd thought her special and that was what one called a compliment. She wasn’t special. She was a being who couldn’t remember her purpose or what her life was like before now.
“Todd I’m the one who should be calling you special. You are still seated here after I grabbed you.”
Dance? What was that? Another part of this ritual she was now participating in. Another small access and she knew what dancing was and even had the steps.
“Yes let’s dance! I’ve never danced before and it sounds fun!”
The first real excitement she had shown all night. She was starting to get this social environment.
Never danced before? Really? Was she less experienced than he was? He would show her what he could do. YouTube had been a great teacher and he was excited to show off. “Well, c’mon, pretty lady!” He grinned as he hopped off his stool, gently taking her hand into his and bringing it to his lips “Ready, gorgeous?” He asked sweetly as he kissed her soft skin.
She had called him special..he’d never been called that before. It was different, but it felt nice. He could feel butterflies circling his stomach. As the song began, he smiled “Follow my lead…” he whispered softly into her ear.
She nodded and followed Todd onto the dance floor. When he politely positioned her arms she marveled at how much taller she was than him. She didn’t mind it though he was nice. The kiss on the top of her hand perplexed her but she would ask later about it. She did as he asked and followed his lead. It wasn’t to hard and he seemed to know what he was doing.
“Following your lead. Todd why did you come here tonight? I came because Fathom said I should have fun. I’m not sure what fun is but I have to say this must be what fun is like.”
She was starting to talk more and her speech becoming more regular as she heard the way other people spoke. It wasn’t rigid or silence when asked something she didn’t know about. Experience was the best teacher.
“You don’t really get out much, do ya?” He asked softly as they danced. Looking into her amber eyes, he smiled “Fun is...I dunno.. it’s an emotion. It makes you smile, laugh, and want more of it. Not many people know that I like to dance because it’s fun.” He replied as he gently twirled her “And you’re really good a at it too, heh!” He chuckled as he brought her back into his frame.
She smelled good, like a batch of flowers from school. They didn’t have anything at the house...it was sorta run down. Maybe with all the new people, they’d make it more presentable. Then he’d asked her to their place to hang.. Though, call it a dude thing, but he wanted more of her. He wanted to kiss her, because under the lights...it made her beautiful skin glow. He also always had a thing for redheads. Woah man...
Jeff nodded about his friend and well that was making a snap judgement but he only knew Matt when he was little and even those memories could be a little fuzzy.
“Yeah he’s upset about something. I’ll talk with him about more later. He’s just processing it.”
He was a bit nervous and it was like he was seeing another person. The way her eyes lit up with excitement and….he stopped himself. She was dead and he could have stopped it from happening if he hadn’t been such a fucking coward. Her wink only added to it and he quickly downed his beer.
“Let’s not stand on ceremony. I’ll lead unless you feel your the better dancer. I won’t be offended.”
He extended his hand to her and waited.
Fathom laughed “No, go ahead! I’m sure you’re better than I am…” she grinned happily. The liquid courage certainly helped right now. She was more free-flowing and spirited. She was beginning to feel normal again, which was huge. No more medicine, no more straps, no more nurses and psychologists… No, she was here and it was on her terms. And this man, Jeff was his name...he seemed sweet, which was a vast difference than what she was used to. He was handsome despite the scars… “Well, his douchebaggery aside, I hope he feels better soon.” She whispered softly.
As she let him lead, she felt his hand in hers. His skin is as tough and warm, but easy to hold. Looking into his eyes, she felt herself blush as the music played “So, I’m new to the area. The redhead, her name is Rhona...she and I are sort of roommates. She’s new too. What do you do for fun around here?” She asked sweetly as they danced.
Rhona was enjoying the dancing and when Todd answered her questions she absorbed the information like a sponge. The compliment about her dancing caused her to smile. It was natural but not a big smile. She was new to this world and couldn’t remember the one she came from.
“Fun is an emotion? I don’t think I’ve had this much fun. The dancing is fun. No, I don’t believe I get out much.”
He twirled her and she felt her stomach get all funny. She didn’t know what that was but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It felt good to her. She liked it. Todd was a very nice person and she enjoyed his touch. She looked into his eyes and leaned down to him. She whispered for his ears only.
“Whatever is on your mind….follow your instincts. I do.”
Her whispers sent a chill down his spine. With a sheepish grin, he pulled her close without warning. His pull was gentle, not forced and not strong. He was amazed at how she just let herself go with the flow. Looking into her amber eyes, he felt his stomach so flip flops..
“Rhona, you’re so beautiful…” he whispered, trying to remember what Aaron had told him. He didn’t want to push her, but his instincts were to kiss those ruby red treasures she called lips.
Screw it.
Todd slowly leaned in and pressed his lips against hers. She tasted as sweet as ever and he savored every last bit. This was his first kiss and he really hoped he was doing a good job. Maybe those YouTube videos payed off?
Jeff was a bit rusty and while he wasn’t nervous about a dance he did have other internal battles going on. He would put a lid on it. When Fathom grinned he saw an inner light that caused him to smile.
“I might be a bit better. Who knows? Let me know if your have feet and toes left after this.”
He moved her deftly and gently around the dance floor. It was easy. It was a bit crowded and Skye could really play. Her band was great. When Fathom mentioned Matt he could see why she would say that.
“Time will get him through it. He did have one hell of s bomb dropped on him. I can’t blame him for how he feels but taking it out on others I can say that’s not right.”
Her skin was cool to the touch. It was odd considering the temperature of the bar. He found himself relaxing. It was a very odd feeling. He usually was wound up tight and ready.
“Well there are plenty of things to do around New York. I mean beyond drinking and dancing with strange guys in bars.”
When she mentioned Rhona and her being new he nodded to her. It wasn’t time to play his hand on her yet. It wasn’t something he wanted to tell her and give her a bad view of Rhona. Rhona seemed harmless right now.
“Y You know you can always ask me to show you around. I’m in and out of New York. Really all up and down the east coast doing the odd job.”
Fathom laughed as they danced. The man was smooth on his feet, which surprised her, judging from his stature. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she smiled sweetly “Dancing with a strange man in a bar isn’t so weird… it could be a lot worse.” She winked playfully “You could be the bartender, who gives me the creeps, but I think I also have better taste than that.” She whispered softly
“So, you wanna get out of here or something? The city lights are always mesmerizing. I barely know my way around here, except for the Xavier Manor.” She grinned warmly. The woman wasn’t afraid of giving out her secret; she hadn’t given him her real name. He had no idea who she was. And for all she knew, she may never see him again. But he seemed kind enough, gentle even…
The kiss was unexpected but after she had told him to follow his instincts she shouldn’t was have been surprised as the things she had seen in all those dating videos said this was one of the outcomes of being in a social situation similar to this and it should have been expected. She was enjoying it. The kiss was soft but felt natural to her and she actually relaxed instead of throwing him across the room. The only reaction was to kiss him back and since she had seen the videos as she sat at the bar drinking she leaned in and kissed him back. She broke it feeling that this was special in her mind and Todd was special.
“Todd I believe we need to go someplace quiet after this dance. I want to talk to you in a quiet place where no one can disturb us.”
She looked at Todd hoping he caught her intent. She was going off instinct and her instincts said that Todd was a good guy and one she wanted to know better. She hoped she wasn’t wrong. That could be disastrous if she was wrong.
Todd had lost himself in the moment. Putting his hands gently onto her warm, pale cheeks, he continued and deepened the kiss. He hoped he was doing this right, as it was his first time. She didn’t seemed to dislike it, so he continued. After a few moments, he let go as well, staring back into her glowing amber eyes “I-I think that’s a good idea…” he stuttered.
Placing his hands on her waist, he brought her close “You’re so beautiful, Rhona..uh…” he stuttered nervously “I…you..” he sighed, frustrated with himself “You wanna go to my place? I got a house not far from here.” We can watch a movie or somethin’.” He added, giving a toothy grin.
Jeff chuckled about the comment. The bartender was a bit pale and creepy like he lived in his mom’s basement and didn’t see the daylight to much. They had people who did that and he couldn’t quite remember what societal definition they had been given. It didn’t matter.
“He is a bit pale. Creepy? I don’t know about that he is just maybe a little weird but creepy not so much.”
He expertly glided her around the dance floor and other dancers. It wasn’t so hard one just had to pay attention and ensure that they didn’t accidentally run into anyone. Her offer to leave was interesting but he thought it a little strange but if she wanted to see New York he could accommodate her and take her to some spots. He was in town for a few days before he had to leave again but tonight he would get her a cab home after all the fun here.
“I would be more than happy to show you around New York. After a few more songs they could go to one of those night spots where people did things that were fun and interesting and didn’t involve anything but a good time and enjoying it.
“You know they have some all night theaters that show the old black and white monster movies. We could always go to a movie or something of the sort if you would like.”
He waited to see what she thought of the idea and would tell Skye after she took a break after a few sets.
“That sounds great! A movie sounds a little more on my level.” She smiled as he twirled her body. Her feet glided along the floor, trying to replicate his fluid movements. “And I’d like to see the city lights. I’m completely unfamiliar with New York. I’m used to the south. It’s much cooler here, but I’m enjoying it so far.” She smiled.
For the first time in years, she felt like a normal person. He didn’t know her. He didn’t know she was a mutant. He didn’t mistreat her...so far. He was kind.

Rhona knee this ritual was completed when you had carnal knowledge of the person you were with and that also made them you mate. Hence the term mating ritual. She was ready for what this entailed. She had viewed all the text books available online about how one mated with another and Todd was her choice and the only choice she needed to make. She would go with him but they didn’t have to leave. She had noted that in times of expediency that one used a local facility because the doors locked. She didn’t know if this was true of the the facilities here but they would find out.
“I believe we can be alone for this here. Where is the nearest facility? We can kick the door. After all I wish to dance with you and enjoy more drinks and music. After that you may then extend the invitation to your place to me. Is that an acceptable compromise?”
Jeff liked the young woman. She seemed very relaxed and easy going. Which was not something he had in his life for a long time. When she mentioned she would like to go for s movie he nodded to her. That would be fun to actually go to a movie and not to kill someone. She might like coffee afterwards where they could talk and just be normal. He hadn’t known a normal day in quite some time and even though it was technically night he was actually looking forward to this.
“Let’s get a cab and go see an old black and white movie. It will be fun. After that we can get a coffee or something to eat. New York is the city that never sleeps. Always plenty to do. Yeah it almost beats Tokyo.”
He laughed as the song ended and Skye jumped down.

Todd smirked as he wrapped his arms around her, bringing her in close. "How 'bout one more drink and we head back to my place?" he spoke softly into her ear. Being this close, Todd could smell her perfume. He closed his eyes in wonder as the fumes hit his nose. It was pleasant and spicy, sultry and was making him work harder than ever to keep her around him. She was odd, but so was he. She had the spunk that he was looking for. There was also something else about her that he just couldn't pinpoint; she wasn't like anyone else. Within one of breath, he pulled back and looked into her eyes "We can dance and drink there, too... I've got a killer stereo system...
Fathom grinned "Sounds good to me." she remarked with a small chuckle "Almost beats Tokyo? So, you seemed well traveled then." she spoke, taking another sip of her drink "And an old movie sounds perfect. Casablanca was one I liked when I was little. "Or anything with Audrey Hepburn."
She paused and closed her eyes, taking in every motion. There was moisture in the air and she could feel her skin tingle at its presence. It was time to go...before her body began to react even more. She didn't want to lose control of her abilities here, especially not in front of Jeff. "Well, this is going to sound a little ridiculous, but I've never gotten a cab before. "
--Lets get Rhona and Todd to the house, and Fathom and Jeff to the movies!--

Cate grabbed her phone, ordering an Uber as she sipped on a glass of water. With all that had happened within the last few days, she was overwhelmed with grief and anger. Staring at the ice cubes swirling around the container, she sighed heavily and tried not to let her drunken state take over her emotions. He had lied to her for months; he'd hidden the truth completely to where she had no idea that he was leading two different lives.
Matthew looked to the Gabriella as he tried to regain his composure. "I feel like I've been lied to my entire life. I mean, I never liked my dad, but he was my dad. My reality has been turned upside down. I knew Jeff like an older brother--I never would have even guessed that we were actually related. He'd a good dude, but I barely know him anymore. And now that my 'father'," he spoke with air quotes "is looking for us, I feel that I've gotta get back in protection mode." he sighed heavily "Last night, I felt like I could finally be free and safe..and now I'm back to square one." he spoke with exhaust in his breath. Running both hands into his hair, he looked to the blonde once more "You...wanna get out of here? I could use a change of scenery." he asked nervously, giving a gentle smile.

Relina smiled at Skye and nodded. She had fun and the spot was a wonderful offer. Her eyes widened s bit but she spotted Fred and her smile grew. She needed friends but right now she wanted a drink and to cool off.
“I can’t wait to meet them. This is gonna be fun. Let’s go.”
She ran pushed her way to Fred smiling and greeting people. As soon as she got to Fred she smiled at him.
“Hey I think I have a fan.”
-*-
Aaron look at Larissa as he sipped at his drink. That was odd she usually wouldn’t talk about it if it wasn’t true. Well she usually only came around when she wanted something, to get drunk, to steal something, or something else.
“Trouble? I’m sure we can handle the trouble. After all it’s not like anyone is dumb enough to do anything here.”
He wasn’t to worried and people usually did what they thought they should do, even if it was stupid.
-*-
Logan was close to finishing his beer s d started to wondered where the bartender was at. He had seen Remy come down and start to help out. Now both were gone.
“Trust is great thing. It helps forge the bond we come to rely on. It’s hard to let people in sometimes. Easy to be cynical.”
He nodded as he drained his beer and put the glass away from him.
“Team and family after s while is the same thing. So really no difference.”

Skye looked to Fred and smiled "That you do. You should go! Be with him and share this moment with him." she winked "I've got a firebox to rangle before I get mobbed by people. She gave Relina a quick hug before looking into the crowd.

Cause looked to the bomb and very slowly picked it up with his hands "Can you see how many wires there are?" he asked Gambit softly, trying not to let his emotions get the best of him. Honestly, he didn't care if he lived or died. He hated his life, but he also had a soft spot for the feeble mutants inside the club.

Gabriela looked to Matt "Don't think of it as square one..you are still welcome here and we'll make sure your 'father' doesn't get you" She said also using quotes "I know it's a lot to process but if this Jeff guy has looked after you and now you know you are really blood maybe it's a good thing? Like another piece of your foundation that you are building now?" She smiled and kissed his cheek "And yes I'd like to get out of here...Have a particular place in mind?" She asked with a smile back.

Larissa took a sip as she smiled. Aaron thought he was rather clever with all of his thinking. She brushed rather close to him as she walked her fingers up his arm.
"We normally could. There is nothing that we can't take on. Though I wonder if I should tell you what truly is going on."
She laughed as she downed the rest of her drink. Her mood had greatly improved as she hung out with her second. The others would get off of her back tomorrow. She bopped his nose as she tilted her head, "Oh who am I kidding? There is a bomb in the back. Someone thought it would be a nice gift. Hopefully the little red bitch can handle herself with getting out of the tight spot. Shall we grab your brother and head elsewhere?" ~*~
Remy nodded as he looked at Wanda. Her eyes were large as she saw the fire death for them all. He grabbed her by the shoulders as he turned her gaze to him. He took in a deep breath looking between the two of them. It was an odd moment as the man was perfectly serious right now.
"Love, we need to move fast. You are the only one I know that I able to move objects. How far do you think you can throw it with your powers."
Wanda felt her nerves rattled as she was asked to do something. Her calm, collected self faded as she blinked at Remy. Did she have a chose in this matter? The look of desperation told her no. She felt as if she was backed into a corner.
"I'm not sure. The best thing is to get me to the tallest building and I will toss it from there."
Remy sighed with relief as he turned towards Caius. "Can you carry and move quickly? I would hate to run out of time." ~*~
Angie was thankful that the bar tenders had disappeared. She placed her drink down as her head swam. She rubbed her brow as she let out a yawn. She nodded as Logan spoke of family and teams. It was rare to see a man with convictions such as his. Not all men are cut from the same cloth.
She stretched her back a little, thankful for the break in drinking. Her mind ran through different topics for small talk. She felt almost silly asking where he grew up and such. Yet it might steer them in a different direction. She tapped a finger as her mouth went ahead with it.
"Have you alvays lived around New York?"

Rouge came into the bar to some kind of commotion going on. She came because even though it was a double edge sword at this point she wanted to see Remy. It hurt more not to see him but knowing if she could only see him It looked Serious She ran over to Remy "What's going on? Is there anything I can do to help?"
